Abstract

Social phenomena such as conformity, obedience, and compliance play an important role in the interaction of individuals in society. Conformity involves changes in one's behavior or beliefs due to group influence, while compliance refers to compliance with the requests of others without internal approval. On the other hand, obedience is obedience to the orders of authority. Factors such as group size, agreement, and legitimacy of authority affect the level of conformity and compliance. Classical research shows that individuals can be influenced to perform actions that are contrary to their moral values. Understanding these dynamics is expected to help individuals recognize social influences on their behavior and develop a critical attitude towards existing norms. The writing of this article uses literature studies to analyze the phenomena of conformity, obedience, and compliance in a social context. The explanations are obtained from various sources, including scientific journals, books, and classic research such as experiments conducted by Solomon Asch and Stanley Milgram.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (BK) programs in higher education have a strategic role in supporting student well-being, especially in the midst of academic, social, and emotional challenges. This study aims to evaluate the current condition of the BK program, identify the main obstacles, and formulate optimization strategies that are more targeted. A qualitative approach through literature study and document analysis was used to examine the effectiveness of counseling services in higher education. The results showed that counseling programs in higher education still face limitations, such as minimal budget, lack of professional counselors, and low accessibility of services. Recommended optimization strategies include the implementation of digital technology for online counseling, improving counselors' competencies through continuous training, a student needs-based approach through regular surveys, and collaboration between units in higher education to raise awareness of the importance of counseling services. The optimization of counseling programs has significant implications for students and educational institutions. Improved service quality can support students' mental well-being, improve their adaptability, and prepare them for the world of work. For institutions, this optimization contributes to the reputation and attractiveness of the campus, while increasing student retention rates. This research confirms the importance of continued investment in counseling programs to create an academic environment that supports students' mental health and success.

The problem that we often encounter is that there are still many school/madrasah supervisors who do not know and understand the roles they must carry out and the functions they carry out. For this reason, efforts or solutions that must be taken immediately are that the government should conduct an objective review of the performance of school supervisors, then supervisors should be encouraged to participate in supervision training carried out by the government or related agencies in order to be able to find out about information developments and improve the competence of a supervisor. The methods used are literature studies and survey methods. Data collection techniques are sourced from various relevant literature and have been discussed in previous articles and are faced with conditions in the field regarding the dynamics of operational supervision and performance of BK teachers in schools.

Abstract

The increase in students' verbal aggressive behavior every year must be eliminated or reduced in order to have a positive impact. One of the efforts made to reduce students' verbal aggressive behavior at school is to carry out group guidance services with self-management techniques. This study aims to describe the differences in student aggressive behavior with the experimental group guidance service using self-management techniques and the control group guidance service without using self-management techniques. This study uses a Quasi Experiment with The Non Equivalent Control Group design. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the aggressive behavior of experimental group students who were given group guidance services using self-management techniques with control group students who were given group guidance services without using self-management techniques; this can be seen in the average posttest score of the experimental group dropped higher than the average posttest score of the control group. Thus, group guidance services use self-management techniques effectively to reduce students' verbal aggressive behavior.
