Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using fairy tale video media on the communication skills of Class III students at SD Inpres Hombes Armed. This research uses a quantitative approach and a nonequivalent control group design experimental research type. The sample for class III A consists of 36 students and III B consists of 36 students. The research instruments used were questionnaire observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. Analysis of descriptive data, researchers found that the communication skills of fairy tale video media and fairy tale text through three indicators of effective learning, namely for student activity in the experimental class 4.2 (very good) while for the Control class 3.85 (good), student responses for the experimental class 4.6 (Very good) while for the Control class 3.5 (good) and learning outcomes for the experimental class 4.2 (very good) while for the Control class 3.5 (good). Analysis of inferential statistical data for the experimental class, the significant value of the fairy tale video pre test (0.020), fairy tale video post test (0.003), and fairy tale text pre test (0.009) was below 0.05 so it could be concluded that it did not meet the assumption of normality. Because not all variables meet the normality assumption, the homogeneity value is 0.082, the hypothesis test used is the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney test, with a significant value of 0.007, which has a value smaller than the 0.05 significance level, meaning there are differences in students' communication abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the Analytical and Synthetic Structural Method (SAS) can improve the early reading skills of grade I students of SD Inpres Timbuseng, Gowa Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR) design. In 2 cycles, each consisting of three meetings. Data were collected through teacher and student observations, Completeness, and interviews with teachers. The results of the study showed that the use of the Structural Analytical and Synthetic (SAS) method in early reading learning succeeded in significantly improving students' reading ability. In cycle I, the application of the SAS method showed an increase in students' early reading ability, including improvements in recognizing letters, reading words, and understanding simple sentences, although completeness was still relatively low (20% at the first meeting, 40% at the second meeting, and 45% at the second and third meetings). In cycle II, the application of the SAS method showed significant progress, with completeness reaching 50% at the first meeting, 70% at the second meeting, and 95% at the third meeting, as well as an increase in students' ability to read more complex texts.

Abstract

Learning media are all types of physical equipment that aim to convey information and create interaction. Media used in learning, such as print and text media, audio media, moving images, multimedia media, and web-based or internet media. This research uses literature review research. In learning economics, optimizing digital media can help students improve their critical and creative thinking skills and increase their ability to learn. Various learning settings can be done using digital media, moving from individual to collaborative between students and students and students and teachers. Digital media in learning is very helpful for teachers and students in the learning process, it makes learning younger, makes the material easier to understand, makes the learning process more efficient, and achieves learning objectives. Teachers also act as facilitators, motivators and role models for their students, encouraging them to work harder in the classroom and utilize the ever-evolving technological media to access information sources relevant to economic learning objectives. By applying digital media in learning economics, students are able to broaden their understanding of economics that covers a wide range of contexts both theory and practice and know the relationship between events that occur in economics

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine whether the mnemonic learning model influences the learning outcomes of arts and crafts (SBdP) for fourth grade students at SDN Pannara, Makassar City. The research method employed was quantitative experimental research with a one-group pretest-posttest design, and the subjects were fourth-grade elementary school students with collage-related two-dimensional expression work material. This study employs research test instruments, observation sheets, and documentation. In this study, descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis were used to analyze the data. Fourth-grade students of SDN Pannara Makassar City whose learning outcomes were enhanced by the application of the mnemonic learning model, as demonstrated by the study's findings. This is demonstrated by testing the hypothesis with the t-test and the test results, namely a significance of 0.000 0,000 < α 0,05 which means that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Where H1 asserts that SBdP learning outcomes for fourth-grade students at SDN Pannara have improved because of the use of the mnemonic learning model. While H0 claimed there was no improvement in SBdP learning outcomes for fourth-grade students at SDN Pannara because of the use of the mnemonic learning model, this study found otherwise. The average student score, which ranges from 30.67 on the pre-test to 90.95 on the post-test, further demonstrates this point. The use of the mnemonic learning model improved the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN Pannara in Makassar City. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers, especially of SBdP subjects, consider using the mnemonic learning model in SBdP learning to make the teaching and learning process more effective, enjoyable, and engaging.

Abstract

School Operational Assistance (BOS) is one of the government's policies aimed at improving the quality of education in Indonesia through school operational funding.  This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the use of BOS Funds in improving educational standards and to identify the factors that influence the optimization of its utilization.  The research method used is a literature review by examining various literature, scientific journals, and relevant research reports.  The research results show that the BOS Fund contributes to the provision of educational facilities and infrastructure, the improvement of teacher competencies through training, as well as providing better educational access for students and increasing student learning motivation.  However, there are several challenges in the implementation of the BOS Fund, such as delays in fund disbursement, lack of transparency in management, and difficulties for schools in allocating funds according to educational priority needs.  Therefore, more effective strategies are needed, including increased transparency, simplification of disbursement procedures, and training for school principals and financial management.  With optimal management, the BOS Fund can become a more effective instrument in improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of technological developments on reading interest in students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Manggala. This research is an ex post facto study using a quantitative approach. This research took place at UPT SPF SD Inpres Manggala, Makassar City. The sample in this study were students in grade V, with a total sample of 37 students, while the sampling technique used simple random sampling. The data collection method for sampling used questionnaires and documentation, with data analysis using SPSS 21.0. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis with an average value of technology use of 3.459 with an interval value of 65-80 were in the very influential category. Meanwhile, students' reading interest is seen from the average value of the results of 3.378 with an interval value of 50-64 with a percentage of 51.4% in the high category. The results of the inferential analysis show a positive influence of the learning environment on creative thinking skills with a Sig value of 0.000 according to the specified criteria Sig (0.000) ≤ (0.05) so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that technological developments have a very high influence on students' reading interest at the UPT SPF SD Inpres Manggala.

Abstract

The study describes the students thinking skill, and metacognitive in problem solving reasoning (PSR) learning model at SMAN 19 Makassar in the academic year 2018/2019. The design of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) in which subject was students social science eleventh grade students that consisted of 69 students. Data were collected by using a problem-solving reasoning tests in the form of multiple choice, essay, oral and practice tests. Data of problem solving reasoning (PSR) abilities were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of this study show that: (1) The application of problem solving reasoning (PSR) can improve the statistical students metacognitive of social science eleventh grade students. In cycle I, the students English outcomes average reached 59.2, whereas in cycle II was successfully increased into 84.8, In cycle I, the students sociology and anthropology outcomes average reached 60.9, whereas in cycle II was successfully increased into 88.5 and in cycle I, the students Art and Culture outcomes average reached 62.3, whereas in cycle II was successfully increased into 86.9. (2) The application of problem solving reasoning (PSR) can improve students' metacognitive of social science XI grade students. These results indicate that there has been an increasing in percentage mastery learning by 20% from cycle I to cycle II.

Abstract

This study aims to improve social studies learning outcomes in grade V at SD Borong Jambu II Makassar by implementing the quantum teaching-learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK), which is divided into two cycles with four stages, namely: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting repeatedly. The subjects of this study were students of grade V at SD Borong Jambu II Makassar, totaling 30 students. The instruments used to obtain data in this study consisted of tests, observation sheets, and questionnaires. This data analysis technique was carried out by analyzing learning outcome data, analyzing data from interviews, and analyzing field note data. The pre-action results were 33.33% who got a value of ‰¥75, then after learning using the quantum teaching model increased to 60% in cycle I increased to 30 students or all students earned a score of ‰¥75 in cycle II. It can be concluded that learning using the quantum teaching model by doing variations shows that the criteria for success in the study are fulfilled. This can be seen from the increase in grade V students in social studies score at SD Borong Jambu II of Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode pembelajaran gallery walk untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V SDN 21 Temban Kabupaten Enrekang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Dalam 2 siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi guru dan siswa serta Ketuntasan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran gallery walk untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V SDN 21 berhasil meningkat secara signifikan. Pada akhir siklus I, penerapan metode pembelajaran gallery walk meskipun ketuntasan masih tergolong kurang dengan nilai rata-rata (71,46). Pada akhir siklus II, penerapan metode pembelajaran gallery walk menunjukkan kemajuan yang signifikan, dengan ketuntasan dan nilai rata-rata mencapai (85,30). Pada siklus I mencapai 61,53% dan pada siklus II mencapai 92,30%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode gallery walk sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi. Aktivitas siswa meningkat secara signifikan, baik dalam keaktifan bertanya, berpendapat, maupun dalam menyusun dan mempresentasikan hasil kerja kelompok.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan membaca intensif melalui strategi Directed Reading Thingking Activity (DRTA) berbantuan gambar seri siswa kelas III SD Inpres Langkowa Kabupaten Gowa. Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus dimana setiap siklus dilaksanakan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan. Penelitian ini bertempat di SD Inpres Langkowa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III, dengan jumlah keseluruhan yaitu 13 siswa, Adapun Prosedur penelitian meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: a) aktivitas siswa siklus I memperoleh jumlah skor rata-rata yang diperoleh adalah dengan kriteria 30,83 dengan kriteria baik. Pada siklus II dengan skor yang diperoleh sebanyak 31,75 dengan kriteria sangat baik; b) keterampilan membaca intensif siswa pada siklus I rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh 68,25 dengan persentase ketuntasan yang dicapai adalah 38,46% dengan sebanyak 5 siswa sudah mencapai ketuntasan dan 8 siswa lainnya belum. Pada siklus II rata-rata yang diperoleh adalah 83,65 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 84,62% dengan sebanyak 11 siswa mencapai ketuntasan dan 2 siswa belum mencapai ketuntasan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitiaan yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi directed reading thingking activity (DRTA) berbantuan gambar seri dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif siswa kelas III SD Inpres Langkowa Kabupaten Gowa.
