Abstract

Hutan gambut merupakan hutan tropis dan menjadi sumber daya alam yang unik yang dapat mendukung keanekaragaman flora dan fauna termasuk amfibi. Hutan gambut sering mengalami kebakaran pada saat musim kemarau. Kebakaran dapat mengancam kelangsungan hidup sejumlah flora dan fauna tak terkecuali amfibi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan komposisi amfibi serta untuk mengetahui indeks keanekaragaman dan kemerataan amfibi di Hutan Lindung Gambut (HLG) Tanjung Jabung Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Visual Encounter Survey (VES) yang dikombinasikan dengan transek. Transek merupakan transek akuatik yang dibuat sepanjang 500m. Data yang telah diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan Indeks Shannon Wiener dan dengan menghitung kemerataan jenis. Hasil penelitian yaitu jenis amfibi yang didapat ada 4 jenis (Fejervarya limnocharis, Fejervarya cancrivora, Hylarana erythraea dan Pulchrana baramica). Nilai keanekaragaman tergolong sedang dengan nilai H’= 1, 03. Hal ini menunjukkan secara ekologis kondisi habitat di HLG Londerang mampu untuk mendukung keberadaan jenis amfibi. Nilai kemerataan jenis amfibi menunjukkan nilai E= 0,74 yang berarti pensebaran amfibi tergolong cukup merata.

Abstract

Objective: The aim of this research is to find out the main factors that cause defects in painting parts and make appropriate suggestions/improvements to reduce and prevent defects in the painting process. Methods: The Method employed is that The method used is the Six Sigma method and the FMEA (Failure Mode Effect and Analysis) method. Six Sigma in technical methods is oriented towards a statistical approach to calculating product defects. The goal is to reduce process variance by eliminating defects that interfere with customer satisfaction. FMEA is a technical analysis which, if carried out correctly and at the right time, will provide great value in helping the decision making process. Results: The Results show that The research results show that the average DPMO value for tractor product production on weekdays from January 1 2023 to April 30 2023 is 107618.46 with an average sigma value of 2.74. Novelty: The recommendation for improvement from the FMEA method is that the cause of the defect with the highest RPN value is painting that does not comply with the SOP of 576. The proposed improvement for the cause of this defect is supervision of painting employees. The Novelty is derived from the specific application and findings of the Six Sigma and FMEA methods in addressing the painting defects at PT. XYZ.

Abstract

In community life, cultural elements play a crucial role as guidelines for social order. The culture applied in society extends beyond objects to behavior, attitudes, attitudes toward nature, and even the management of nature itself. One of Jambi Province's abundant natural resources is its fish biodiversity. The Batanghari River has a significant impact on both fish diversity and culture. This cultural connection to fish remains deeply embedded in the community to this day. Furthermore, fish folklore is also found, which is beneficial for fish conservation. Ethnoscience is not merely a cultural knowledge; it is also an intangible heritage of Jambi Province. Therefore, ethnoscience and fish biodiversity are interconnected. Ethnoscience and fish biodiversity are now integrated into a single information system, the Jambi Fish Biodiversity Information System (BERIKAN JAMBI) https://ikanjambi.unja.ac.id/. This integrated information system contains information about the fish found in the Batanghari River. The socialization and application workshop given to the Guci Emas awareness group in Muaro Pijoan Village aims to provide knowledge and understanding regarding the Berikan Jambi information system in supporting ethnoscience studies of the community in the area and as a conservation step through the fostered group, so that it can make it easier for the community to obtain information about local folklore regarding certain fish.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the topic of Viruses in Life on students’ critical thinking skills and collaboration at SMA Negeri 2 Kota Jambi. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a matching-only posttest-only control group design. The population consisted of all tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Kota Jambi, while the sample included two classes: class X1 as the experimental group taught using the PBL model and class X3 as the control group taught using the Discovery Learning model. Research instruments included an essay test to assess critical thinking skills, as well as questionnaires and observation sheets to measure collaboration using a four-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, followed by hypothesis testing with the Mann–Whitney test. The results indicate that the PBL model has an effect on students’ critical thinking skills and collaboration. In conclusion, the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills and collaboration on the topic of Viruses in Life. Abstract

General Background CNC milling machines play a critical role in manufacturing by producing high-precision components, yet frequent component failures can disrupt production continuity. Specific Background At PT. IJA Surabaya, repeated breakdowns in CNC milling machines have led to decreased productivity and increased downtime. Knowledge Gap Existing maintenance practices lack structured risk prioritization to identify critical components and failure modes systematically. Aims This study aims to analyze machine maintenance using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis to determine priority risks and propose preventive actions. Results The findings indicate that the spindle component has the highest Risk Priority Number of 933, followed by air supply at 882 and drill bits at 714, mainly caused by inadequate lubrication, overloading, and improper usage. Novelty This study provides a structured application of FMEA in identifying critical maintenance priorities specifically in CNC milling operations within a real industrial setting. Implications The results support the development of preventive maintenance strategies, including routine lubrication scheduling, load monitoring, and periodic component replacement to reduce downtime and improve operational reliability. Abstract

Forecasting is an estimate of something that has not happened or will happen in the future. Determination of the policies implemented by the company resulted in more costs for storage costs, resulting in wastage of costs and reduced company profits due to the accumulation of capital in the form of raw materials that had not been produced. This study describes the planning and control of sodium caseinate inventory. Of the many inventory control planning methods, the continuous review system model is used to determine the optimal number of orders and when orders are made. The total cost of inventory based on average usage in 2018 to 2020 is IDR 252,323,882,141.00 per year. The results showed that the continuous review system lost sales inventory control model has a minimum total inventory cost of Rp. 251,641,850,991.00 per year with an optimal number of orders.

Abstract

This study aims to determine The Effect of Learning Models Problem Based Learning (PBL) Based on STEM Approach to E-Phase Critical Thinking Ability in Biology Learning. Research using type experimental research pretest-posttest control grup design with technique random sampling. So that phase E-5 was chosen as the experimental class, phase E-7 as the control class, with a total of 36 students in each class. The data analyzed were the results of the initial test and the final test on questions of critical thinking ability, with data analysis using the SPSS, testing the hypothesis using the ANOVA test. The results of the ANOVA test analysis show that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on the STEM approach has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills at SMA Negeri 4 Jambi City. The data collection method used is a critical thinking ability test, response questionnaire, activity observation.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD-CAM) applications in developing the design and implementation of maintenance tools. The use of CAD-CAM has become a major trend in the modern manufacturing industry because it provides various advantages such as time efficiency, high precision and increased productivity. However, it is important to assess the true effectiveness of this technology in the context of maintenance tool development to fully understand its potential benefits. The literature review analysis method was used to compile an in-depth review of the latest research and publications related to the use of CAD-CAM in the design development and implementation of maintenance tools. A number of case studies and field experiments were also included in the analysis to provide further insight into the application of this technology in various industrial environments. The results of the analysis show that the use of CAD-CAM in the development of maintenance tool designs has brought significant positive changes. This application is able to reduce development cycle time, enable model-based engineering, and improve modeling accuracy. Apart from that, CAD-CAM also facilitates better collaboration between design teams, engineers and other stakeholders, which contributes to improving the quality of the final product. However, despite the many benefits offered by CAD-CAM, there are also challenges that need to be overcome to increase the effectiveness of its use. Some of these are high initial investment costs, the need for higher technical skills, and complex integration with existing infrastructure. In conclusion, CAD-CAM has proven effective in developing the design and implementation of maintenance tools. With this technology, companies can increase operational efficiency, improve product quality, and gain a competitive advantage in the market. By understanding the benefits and challenges of its use, professionals can more effectively adopt CAD-CAM and fully exploit its potential in the modern manufacturing industry.

Abstract

Integrasi nilai-nilai budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran fisika meningkatkan kebermaknaan belajar sekaligus mendukung pelestarian warisan budaya. Gong Buleuh, alat musik tradisional masyarakat Kerinci, berpotensi dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran fisika berbasis etnosains, khususnya pada materi gelombang dan bunyi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji peran Gong Buleuh dalam pembelajaran fisika bertemakan etnosains melalui kajian literatur naratif. Penelusuran literatur dilakukan menggunakan aplikasi Publish or Perish, menghasilkan 8 artikel relevan dari 21 artikel yang ditemukan, yang diterbitkan pada rentang 2017–2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi etnosains mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, mengaitkan materi dengan konteks budaya siswa, dan mengurangi kejenuhan belajar. Kajian ini juga mengidentifikasi implementasi Gong Buleuh melalui pendekatan STEM-integrated Problem-Based Learning yang terbukti efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya inovasi pembelajaran fisika yang responsif terhadap budaya lokal agar konsep sains lebih bermakna bagi siswa.

Abstract

Perusahaan harus memiliki pengendalian persediaan dalam menjaga persediaan barang agar dapat berjalan dengan lancar sehingga rencana atau target perusahaan dapat tecapai. Pada perusahaan tray mengalami masalah penumpukan barang hingga 19% dan biaya penyimpanan yang tinggi dalam mengelola persediaan terjadi karena permintaan yang tidak menentukan. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengoptimalkan persediaan untuk mencegah kelebihan dan kekurangan stok pada perusahaan tray sehingga dapat meminimalkan potensi kerugian, sehingga dibutuhkan metode yang tepat dalam mengatasi ketidakpastian permintaan yang akan datang dengan tujuan tidak terjadinya masalah dalam persediaan. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode fuzzy mamdani, yang dikenal sebagai salah satu teknik yang menyediakan pendekatan adaptif dalam mengatasi ketidakpastian dan ketidakjelasan dalam data untuk pengambilan keputusan, memungkinkan penggunaan variabel linguistik dan aturan yang dapat diadaptasi untuk menghasilkan keputusan yang lebih akurat dan kontekstual. Hasil dari perhitungan fuzzy mamdani menggunakan aplikasi matlab dapat menurunkan persediaan berlebih dengan persediaan awal 3788 sedangkan hasil optimal implementasi fuzzy logic sebesar 3282, sementara jumlah permintaan tercatat sebanyak 3190. Meskipun terdapat tingkat kesalahan sebesar 25,83575%. Hasil ini termasuk dalam katergori cukup baik dalam menentukan jumlah persediaan terhadap permintaan
