Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui simbol dan makna yang terkandung dalam mantra pengobatan pada Masyarakat Melayu Desa Mayak Kabupaten Ketapang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif, dan menggunakan pendekatan semiotik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan dapat disimpulkan bahwa simbol yang terdapat dalam mantra pengobatan pada masyarakat Melayu Desa Mayak Kabupaten Ketapang berjumlah 32 simbol. Berikut simbol-simbol tersebut: simbol Basmallh, asal, pulang, tawar, buih putih, turun dan naik, tanah, piring, buah, pirman Tuhan, putih kuning dan hitam, doa, Lailahaillallah, engkau, bumi, datuk, buih, awan-awan, terbang, mati, pulang, tembunik, ilang, hitam dan putih, punan, seribu, menawar, pulang, Hamdalah, ancor, sangkala, dan simbol salamunalaina. Makna mantra pengobatan yaitu makna religius. Berikut data-data yang menggambarkan makna religius: basmallah, itam asalnye, sang bui putih, Lailahaillallah, Wali Pekujung punye tawar, puntianak, sawan burung pulang keburung, sawan pelandok pulag kepelandok, Ashaduallailahaillallah, dan pakai petulang anak bajang. Kata kunci: semiotik, mantra pengobatan, Desa Mayak.   Abstract: the research is aimed to know of symbols and a meaning that is contained in a spell treatment on the society malay village mayak district ketapang. Methods used in this research is a method of descriptive, a qualitative, with the form of research and uses approach semiotik. Based on the analysis of data, can be concluded that use can be concluded that symbol contained in spells treatment on society melayu village mayak district ketapang totaled 32 symbol. Following these symbols: symbol basmallh, origin, home, freshwater, white froth, down and rise, land, plates, fruit, pirman the lord white to yellow and black, prayer lailahaillallah, you, the earth, datuk, froth, clouds, fly, dead, home, tembunik, ilang, black and white, punan, seribu bargain, home, hamdalah, ancor, sangkala, and symbols salamunalaina.Meaning spell treatment namely religious meaning. Following the data which describe religious meaning: basmallah, itam asalnye, bui the white, lailahaillallah, guardian pekujung punye freshwater, puntianak, convulsions birds home keburung, convulsions pelandok pulag kepelandok, ashaduallailahaillallah, and wear petulang bajang child. PERAN MUHAKAM DALAM ADAT PERKAWINANSEBAGAIREPRESENTASI ADAB DAN ETIKA MELAYU SAMBASAhadi SulissusiawanFKIP Universitas Tanjungpuraemail: ahadi.sulissusiawan@yahoo.comAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran Muhakam sebagai representasi adabdan etika dalam adat perkawinan Melayu Sambas. Penelitian ini menggunakan kaidahanalisiskualitatif.Data penelitian adalah ucapan (verbal), gerak-gerik (nonverbal), danpakaian yang digunakan Muhakam ketika memberikan sambutan (alu-aluan) dan nasihatperkawinan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ucapan Muhakam menggambarkan hatiyang ikhlas, penuh kasih sayang, dan belas kasihan.Muhakam memperlihatkan strategiikhlas, merendah diri, dan meminta maaf sebagai representasi adab dan etika Melayu.Adab dan etika Muhakam dalam acara majelis adat perkawinan Melayu ditunjukkandengan sikap dan perilaku yang dapat menumbuhkan simpati dan respon yang baikdari masyarakat. Kebijaksanaandan kesantunandalam berperilaku ditunjukkan olehMuhakam dengan senyum, bertegur sapa, berjabat tangan, dan adab berpakaian. This is a qualitative study. The researchdata are speech (verbal), gestures (nonverbal), and clothinga Muhakam is wearing whengiving a speech (alu-aluan) and marital advice. The findings showthat a Muhakam’sspeech depicts a sincere heart, full of affection and mercy. A Muhakam shows sincere,humble, and apologetic strategies as a representation of Malay manners and ethics. AMuhakam’s manners and ethics inthe Malay wedding tradition are shown by the attitudeand behavior that can foster sympathy and good responses from the public. The wisdomand politeness in behavior are shown by a Muhakam by smiling, exchanging greetings,shaking hands, and dressing properly. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe symbolic meanings of pantun in the mulang-mulangkantradition in the Sambas Malay community. The mulang-mulangkan tradition is a Malaytradition through which the parents of the bride and groom hand over the couple tofamilies and relatives to be well accepted. The study employed the ethnographic approachby applying the analysis according to the ethnographic framework by Spradley. Theanalysis was conducted by investigating symbols based on the contexts and relationalmeanings of folk terms in pantun in relation to the cultural life of the community possessingthe text. The results of the data analysis show that the folk terms in the Sambas Malaycommunity contain symbolic meanings. Some of them are advice on a pure bride, adviceon bitterness in family life, advice on loyalty and willingness to sacrifice, advice on patienceand trust in God to face life, advice on problem solving through agreement, advice ondiligence in saying prayers and not being lazy in family life, and advice on inviting otherswhen a baby is born.

Abstract

The community service is an activity to facilitate junior high school teachers in Pontianak City to improve their skills in conducting Classroom Action Research (CAR). CAR implementation training is essential because, through CAR, teachers can always identify various problems that occur in the learning process. Through PTK, teachers can also provide the best and most appropriate solutions to problems. The method used is the method of exercises, discussions, and assignments within three months, namely October-December. Qualitatively, training for junior high school teachers at junior high schools in Pontianak City can run optimally and produce CAR, which can be implemented in the learning process. Maximum results with 17 finish of 18 participants completing the PTK report. One participant did not finish because he withdrew from the beginning of the process.

Abstract

Mantra sebagai bentuk puisi tradisional merupakan warisan dari kehidupan primitif  zaman purba atau prasejarah yang berkembang sampai hari ini. Selain itu, mantra mengandung bahasa sugestif dan magis bagi para pengamalnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan metafora bentuk manusia (human) pada  mantra Sinding Badan masyarakat Melayu Sambas. Metode dipahami dengan sudut pandang pendekatan linguistik fungsional sistemik dan kajian semiotik sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode wawancara. Sumber data penelitian  delapan judul mantra Penyinding Badan yang didapatkan dari narasumber yang berasal dari masyarakat Melayu Sambas. Penelitian ini berhasil mengungkap bahwa pada mantra Sinding Badan ditemukan bentuk-bentuk manusia yang direalisasikan dengan sapaan manusia, pronomina persona pertama tunggal dan pronomina persona kedua tunggal, pronomina posesif pertama tunggal dan pronomina posesif kedua tunggal, dan substitusi nama manusia. Penggunaan bentuk manusia yang dominan dalam mantra adalah metafora bentuk manusia dengan realisasi pronomina posesif “-ku” dan beberapa penggunaan “-mu”. Hal ini menandakan bahwa tingkat “keakuan” atau tujuan mantra digunakan sesuai untuk memberikan pengaruh kepada pemantra sebagai “aku” dalam mantra. Di samping itu,  banyak juga digunakan metafora bentuk manusia yang direalisasikan dengan nama manusia, yakni manusia-manusia yang telah dipercaya oleh Allah SWT untuk memimpin dan terkenal mempunyai kekuatan tertentu. Kata kunci: metafora, manusia, mantra, semiotik sosialThe metaphor of the human form in the oral literature of the Sinding Badan mantra of theSambas Malay community AbstractMantra, as a form of traditional poetry, is a legacy from ancient or prehistoric primitive life that has developed to this day. In addition, mantras contain suggestive and magical language for practitioners. This study aims to describe the use of the metaphor of the human form in the Sinding Badan mantra of the Sambas Malay community. The method is understood from a systemic functional linguistic approach and social semiotic studies standpoint. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with the interview method. The research data source for the eight titles of the Penyinding Badan mantra was obtained from informants from the Sambas Malay community. This study revealed that in the Sinding Badan mantra, human forms are found which are realized with human greetings, the first singular personal pronoun, and the second single personal pronoun, the first single possessive pronoun and the second singular possessive pronoun, and the substitution of human names. The predominant use of the human form in mantras is the metaphor of the human form with the realization of the possessive pronoun "-ku" and some uses of "-mu." This indicates that the level of "I" or the purpose of the mantra is used accordingly to give effect to the caster as the "I" in the mantra. In addition, many human-form metaphors are also used, which are realized by the name of humans, namely humans who have been trusted by Allah SWT to lead and are known to have certain powers. Keywords: metaphor, human, mantra, social semiotics

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of speech containing blasphemy in the examination minutes (BAP) of Singkawang Police investigators with a pragmatic approach. Blasphemy is one language with legal impact in the form of degrading religious beliefs. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique used in this study was indirect techniques with documentary studies because the data was obtained through examination minutes documents (BAP) owned by Singkawang Resort police investigators. The analytical approach used in this study is pragmatic. As a result, there are type of directive speech act with 3 functions: questioning, suggesting, and prohibiting. Then, the assertive speech act has 2 parts: claiming the truth and complaining. Also, the type of expressive speech act has 1 function, namely the blame function. These functions contain the meaning of blasphemy to the religious beliefs of Muslims.

Abstract

This research on dialect geography applies a synchronic comparative linguistic approach with interpretations based on historical linguistic differentiation. The study, which focuses on phonological and lexical aspects, was conducted to determine the linguistic distance between the Dayak languages used by the people who identify themselves as Sekubang and Seberuang residing in the Sepauk Hulu District. The data presented and discussed in this study consist of responses from 21 research informants related to 829 lexical question glosses. This data was obtained through interviews conducted by the researcher with research informants in each observation area. The method used in data analysis is the synchronic comparative method, applying dialectometric formulas and inter-village triangles. The results of the data analysis, which disregards phonological differences between observation areas, show differences in dialect, subdialect, and speech. Based on the analysis and findings in this study, it can be concluded that the Sekubang and Seberuang languages are the same. However, locally, they identify themselves as separate languages. Therefore, to affirm the similarity between these two Dayak variants, the term "Seberuang language" is introduced as a replacement for the names of both languages. This designation is based on the schematic depiction of the broader Seberuang language usage area compared to the Sekubang language usage area.

Abstract

The Indonesian language learning paradigm shifted after the Covid-19 outbreak. The lack of learning media that can handle all learning material and instructors' poor mastery of technology both contribute to this problem. Building a web-based learning platform using Google Sites and the data from the Observation Report Text is one solution to this problem. The study's goals are to create a procedure for developing learning media on a web platform, to establish whether or not such media is feasible, and to identify the variables enabling and limiting the use of Google Sites. R&D (Research & Development) development principles and the ADDIE model inform the study's methodology. Twenty-one kids were randomly selected from Grade X at IPS SMA Pelita Cemerlang Pontianak. Methods of gathering information include keeping records, conducting surveys, and keeping careful notes. The media professionals who checked out https://sites.google.com/bindoxpelitacemerlang gave it an 82.44%. The validation by subject matter experts is at 96.97%, while the validation by end users is at 88.9%; both scores place the material in the 'Very Eligible' category. Black-box testing tools, stress testing, installation/lauch testing, alpha testing, and 'passing' beta testing are used to determine Google Sites' viability. High accessibility, students' ability to study independently, opening links, dynamic time, extra learning resources, information search columns, and readily updatable content and materials are all reasons to use Google Sites. There are several limitations, such as a lack of personalization, the need for an active internet connection, concerns about privacy and security, and the presence of broken connections.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kosakata bahasa Inggris terkait pandemi virus korona dalam teks berita harian Pontianak Post. Menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data yang dianalisis berkaitan dengan interferensi dan integrasi leksikal, interferensi dan integrasi fonologi, dan interferensi dan integrasi morfologi pada teks berita terkait virus korona pada halaman utama dan sambungan koran digital  Pontianak Post, yang terbit  dari Mei, Juni, Juli 2021. Pada penelitiaan ini masih ditemukan penggunaan istilah asing yang belum maupun yang sudah mengalami integrasi. Kata yang paling banyak diadopsi dalam bahasa Indonesia adalah kata-kata yang berasal dari bahasa Inggris, bahasa Latin, bahasa Yunani, bahasa Arab, dan bahasa Belanda. Bahasa Inggris menduduki posisi pertama sebagai bahasa yang memiliki kata serapan paling banyak dalam kosakata bahasa Indonesia. Sedangkan bahasa Belanda menduduki posisi terakhir sebagai bahasa yang memiliki kata serapan paling sedikit sesuai dengan data yang telah digunakan peneliti. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data yang dilakukan selama penelitian, ditemukan 8 integrasi leksikal yang 3 diantaranya mengalami penyesuaian ejaan. Terdapat 10 integrasi fonologi yang mengalami penyesuaian bunyi dari kata asalnya. Kemudian terdapat  4 integrasi morfologi dalam bentuk-bentuk penyesuaian visual, penerjemahan langsung, dan penerjemahan konsep. Selain integrasi, ditemukan 7 interferensi leksikal, 14 interferensi morfologi, dan tidak ditemukan interferensi fonologi.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTari Ngeruai Kenemiak memiliki keunikan tersendiri yaitu terdapatpenggunaan alat musik Gong sebagai properti tarinya. Gong ini dimainkan selama pertunjukan tari berlangsung. Adapun cara memainkannya dengan dipegang, diayunkan ke atas dan bawah, diinjak, dan diduduki. Dengan menggunakan teori estetika paradoks oleh Jakob Sumarjo, penelitian ini akan dianalisis berdasarkan bentuk properti, cara penggunaannya dalam upacara maupun tari Ngeruai Kenemiak. Metode yangdigunakan adalah deskriptif dan bentuk penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Data dianalisis melalui pendekatan semiotik. Teknik yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi danstudi pustaka. Melalui tari Ngeruai Kenemiak tergambar jelas bahwa tari ini mendapat inspirasi dari prosesiadat Ngeruai Kenemiak yang merupakan upacara kelahiran bayi suku Dayak Kantu’. Gong yang setelah dianalisis menggunakan pola dua menggunakan estetika paradoks merupakan representasi dari dunia, siklus kehidupan, serta peran manusia di dalamnya sangat terikat oleh hungungan antar sesama manusia, alam sekitarnya dan juga Petara atau Tuhan.ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by Ngeruai Kenemiak dance which has its own uniqueness, namely the use of Gongmusical instruments as dance properties. This gong is played during the dance performance. As for how to playit, it is to be held, swinging up and down, being stepped on, and being occupied. Using the paradoxical aesthetic theory by Jakob Sumarjo, this research will be analyzed based on the shape of the property, the way it is used in ceremonies and Ngeruai Kenemiak dance. The method used is descriptive and the form of this research is qualitative. The data are analyzed through a semiotic approach. The techniques carried out in this study are observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. Through the Ngeruai Kenemiak dance, it is clearly illustrated that this dance draws inspiration from the traditional procession of Ngeruai Kenemiak whichis the birth ceremony of the baby of the Dayak Kantu tribe'. Gong, which after analysis using pattern two usingparadoxical aesthetics, is a representation of the world, the cycle of life, and the role of humans in it is very much bound by the relationship between fellow humans, the surrounding nature and also Petara or God.
