Abstract

AbstractEducating rural housewives to "literate" important media to be carried out to open up their insights about people's rights to media, forms of literacy, and media functions for social life. However, to achieve this, housewives need to be accompanied in the broadcasting of TV shows because of the need to increase understanding of community rights to TV shows. Media literacy is a compulsory knowledge that must be mastered by housewives so that they are ready to face the challenges in this era of media-tightness. Housewives must be able to become literate humans who master media literacy competencies which include the ability to use, analyze, evaluate, and produce information in the media. If these competencies are met, housewives who have more time with children or spectacle filtering children are not worried about being affected by the negative effects of the media. Keywords : housewives, media, social life AbstrakMendidik ibu rumah tangga perdesaan untuk “melek” media penting untuk dilakukan untuk membuka wawasan mereka tentang hak masyarakat terhadap media, bentuk-bentuk literasi, dan fungsi media bagi kehidupan sosial. Namun, untuk mencapai hal tersebut ibu rumah tangga perlu didampingi dalam meliterasi tayangan TV karena perlu peningkatan pemahaman tentang hak masyarakat terhadap tayangan TV. Literasi media menjadi pengetahuan wajib yang harus dikuasai oleh ibu rumah tangga agar mereka siap dalam menghadapi tantangan-tantangan di era sesak-media ini. Ibu rumah tangga harus mampu menjadi manusia literat yang menguasai kompetensi-kompetensi literasi media yang mencakup kemampuan menggunakan, menganalisa, mengevaluasi, dan memproduksi informasi di media. Jika kompetensi-kompetensi tersebut terpenuhi maka para ibu rumah tangga yang memiliki waktu lebih banyak dengan anak-anak atau pemfilter tontonan anak-anak tidak khawatir terpengaruh efek negatif media. Kata kunci :  ibu rumah tangga, media, kehidupan sosial

Abstract

AbstractCurrently the mass media undergoes a very rapid development, both in the technology or information, Increasing the media gives influence to the consumers of media, not just a positive influence but also negative influence. Students as academics need to be prepared with the ability to use media literacy media intelligently and effectively. This research is intended to find out the level of literacy Esa Unggul University student, so it can be used as a foundation in making literacy education programs in the media. This outreach program aims to educate people in Duri Kepa, RT.011 RW.007, West Jakarta with a topics such as how to use gadget in a good way, users get along in social media, some tips on avoiding hoaxes, how to online shopping savely, and avoid pornography.  Keywords: media literation, public education, social media AbstrakSaat ini media massa mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat, baik dari sisi teknologi maupun informasi. Peningkatan media tersebut memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap konsumen media, tidak hanya pengaruh positif namun juga pengaruh negatif. Mahasiswa sebagai akademisi perlu dipersiapkan dengan kemampuan literasi media agar mampu menggunakan media dengan cerdas dan efektif. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan literasi media mahasiswa Universitas Esa Unggul, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai landasan dalam membuat program pendidikan literasi media. Abstract

The purpose of this research is the implementation of the policy of Presidential Decree No. 7 of 2020 in an effort to prevent the Pandemic at the National Police Headquarters, the impact of implementing policies to prevent the spread of the Pandemic at the National Police Headquarters and the model of implementing policies at the National Police Headquarters in preventing the spread of the Pandemic. This research is qualitative because to maintain regularity and consistency. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the policies set at the National Police Headquarters is to maintain a distance and a ban on traveling out of town. Meanwhile, the impact of this implementation is the increase in the duties of personnel at the National Police Headquarters due to the implementation of social distancing protocols during the pandemic, resulting in high crime. The Merilee S. Grindle model used to assess the success of implementation is influenced by two major variables, namely the content of the policy and the implementation environment. The type of policy implementation that is in accordance with the program to accelerate the handling of Covid-19 is substantive and procedural politics

Abstract

The school students and teachers are national assets, they are given priority when it comes to community service projects that emphasize teaching about organic vegetable growing and using natural spices in cooking to benefit kids' and instructors' health. The method used is Active and Participatory Learning, emphasizing discussion, practice, and demonstration. The results of this service have added to the understanding of students and teachers by planting organic vegetables and cooking vegetable ingredients using natural spices. It has successfully instructed pupils from a young age on how to maintain health by eating organic vegetables and herbs and carrying out the most basic tasks, such as growing plants. Vertical organic vegetables, then practice cooking with spices. The decision to adopt this viticulture planting method was made since only a small 2.5 x 4 m plot of land can be used to grow organic vegetables with the highest yields. The viticulture method itself can produce a lovely environment and economic significance. To treat students and create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere in the classroom (i). Besides that, using vegetable cooking techniques can increase students' understanding of knowing natural spices that can be used as cooking spices that guarantee the long-term health of students and teachers.

Abstract

Pembentukan kepribadian anak dapat tercipta dalam lingkungan keluarga dan sekolah. Melatih kepribadian anak dalam lingkungan keluarga memerlukan bantuan orang tua untuk menciptakan anak berkepribadian baik, serta peran guru dalam membentuk karakter anak didiknya. Untuk itu diperlukan komunikasi antar personal antara guru dan siswa untuk membentuk karakter yang baik pada diri siswa sesuai norma, agama, dan Pancasila. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah untuk membantu guru membentuk kepribadian siswa melalui sosialisasi komunikasi antar personal melalui materi yang diberikan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan yakni dengan beberapa tahapan terdiri dari tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan tahapan evaluasi. Peserta kegiatan terdiri dari guru–guru SD Perjuangan Terpadu Depok sebanyak 20 orang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada hari Jumat, 26 Mei 2023 di Aula SD Perjuangan Terpadu Depok dengan sistem tatap muka. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat antara lain bertambahnya informasi dan pengetahuan guru mengenai komunikasi antar personal yang dilakukan oleh guru kepada siswa berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan kepada peserta sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pengaruh dan mempelajari dosis paling efisien dari penggunaan Aspergillus niger pada fermentasi limbah bunga sedap malam (Polianthes tuberosa L.) dengan parameter Kecernaan Bahan Kering (KcBK), Kecernaan Bahan Organik (KcBO), Kecernaan Protein Kasar (KcPK) secara in vitro, kandungan Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF), dan Hemiselulosa. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 200 gram limbah bunga sedap malam (BK 94,83%), 2% molases, dan 274 ml air. Penggunaan dosis Aspergillus niger yang berbeda terdiri dari P0 : Kontrol (Tanpa Fermentasi), P1 : 1 x 107 CFU/g BK Bahan,  P2 : 3 x 107 CFU/g BK Bahan, P3 = 6 x 107 CFU/g BK Bahan, dan P4 : 9 x 107 CFU/g BK Bahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap kecernaan nutrien dan komponen serat kasar. Dosis 9 x 107 CFU/g BK Bahan terbukti memberikan hasil terbaik diantara dosis yang lainnya ditinjau dari beberapa parameter yang telah diukur yaitu 46,62±1,1% KcBK, 46,26±0,16% KcBO, 52,86±0,07% KcPK, 28,96±0,28% NDF, 22,64±0,43% ADF dan 6,32±0,35% Hemiselulosa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan Aspergillus niger sebagai inokulan dalam proses fermentasi limbah bunga sedap malam meningkatkan KcBK, KcBO, dan KcPK serta diikuti dengan penurunan kandungan NDF, ADF dan Hemiselulosa.

Abstract

Discovery learning merupakan suatu metode yang menekankan pada kegiatan belajar siswa secara aktif dalam mengembangkan sendiri pengetahuannya secara mandiri maupun kelompok. Pada metode ini, guru tidak secara aktif menjelaskan materi pada peserta didik. guru hanya memberikan sejumlah pertanyaan berkaitan dengan materi. Selanjutnya, peserta didiklah yang harus menemukan, menyelidiki, dan menyimpulkan hasil temuannya sebagai modal untuk menjawab pertanyaan dari guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Maros dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar. Peneliti melibatkan satu kelompok untuk menggunakan desain penelitian yang diberi pretest lebih dahulu sebelum adanya treatment, kemudian diberi posttest untuk mengetahui hasil belajar.

Abstract

The message of a speech will be achieved by audiences if the use of speech acts is appropriate with its purposes. There are three types of speech acts; i.e. locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary. This study aims to know the speech acts used in Emma Watson’s speech delivered about feminism and explore its implications in teaching listening comprehension. Emma Watson tend to bring her audience, especially men to join her campaign, called HeForShe. It has successful reach the world’s attention to end the gender inequality because of her powerful speech. To collect the data, a speech transcript was provided and analyzed. The qualitative descriptive research is used in order to investigate the implementation of locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary used in the speech. The result showed those three types of speech acts were used. In addition, the illucationary act of Assertive shown for 76,74%. It indicates that this speech contained opening, informing, convincing, insisting, and clarifying. This results have the implications in teaching listening such as delivering the materials of teaching could be started from listening words by words, looking for the meaning of difficult words, informing the content of text, giving respond, and achieving the meaning of text. The teacher suggested to use this speech as one of material in teaching listening by considering its objectives of teaching.

Abstract

This study intends to find out the influent of students’ reading ability through extensive reading and to find out the result of using various text in reading activities. This research using classroom action research. Consists of two cycles. Technique collecting data used in this research is a mixed-method (qualitative and quantitative). The technique of analyzing data used is descriptive analysis. The result of this research showed the development of students reading ability through extensive reading. Use two types of extensive reading, i.e., skimming and superficial. By using three-technique of extensive reading that is skipping, skimming and scanning. Extensive reading conducted in the first cycle and second cycle. Based on the research result from pre-cycle until post cycle, students’ reading ability was increased 50,4 %.

Abstract

This study concerns with how teachers apply TPACK for teaching English through Google Classroom platform for vocational high school. The objectives of the study are to find out how teachers apply TPACK for teaching English through Google Classroom and the teachers' difficulties in applying TPACK for teaching English through Google classroom platform for vocational high school. The subjects of this research are three English teachers who used Google Classroom platform in teaching English class. An interview was conducted to collect the data and it was described by using the descriptive qualitative method. It showed that learning and teaching process by using Google Classroom is different with face-to-face interaction. It makes teachers must adapt because teacher found difficulty to use any method and strategy when using Google Classroom. Furthermore, teachers prefer to share Pdf or Word files rather than video because video has a large capacity. Students who couldn’t connect their devices to the internet couldn’t fill in the register and were late to submit the assignments.
