Abstract

Konsumsi serat yang rendah bisa berkontribusi pada kenaikan status gizi, karena mereka sering kali berlebihan mengkonsumsi makanan berlemak yang lebih gampang dicerna dibanding dengan serat. Anak sekolah dasar memiliki karakteristik suka mengkonsumsi makanan tinggi kalori serta rendah serat sehinggal mengakibatkan perbedaan status gizi pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pola konsumsi sayur, buah dan asupan serat berdasarkan status gizi IMT/U pada anak SD Negeri 05 Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional, sampel penelitian ini adalah anak kelas 2 di SD Negeri 05 Kota Bengkulu sebanyak 94 responden. Pola konsumsi sayur, buah, dan asupan serat dihitung menggunakan food frequency questionnaire semi kuantitatifkan, dan status gizi menggunakan timbangan digital dan microtoice. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 04 Januari-04 Februari 2023. Analisis data menggunakan uji one way anova. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan asupan serat sayur berdasarkan status gizi (p=0,199), dan ada perbedaan asupan serat buah berdasarkan status gizi (p=0,020). Kata Kunci: Asupan serat, status gizi, anak sekolah.

Abstract

Ibu hamil adalah sasaran intervensi paling penting dalam gerakan 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (1000 HPK). Ibu hamil yang tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan gizinya berisiko memiliki masalah status gizi dan berdampak buruk pada bayi dan ibu. Ibu hamil yang mengalami Kekurangan Energi Kronis (KEK) berisiko melahirkan bayi prematur, bayi dengan Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR) dan panjang badan lahir yang pendek dapat berisiko mengalami stunting pada masa balita. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian untuk menganalisis asupan makronutrien dan kejadian Kekurangan Energi Kronis (KEK) pada ibu hamil. Adanya penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menganalisis asupan zat gizi makro dan pendapatan keluarga terhadap kejadian kekurangan energi kronis (KEK) pada ibu hamil di lokus Stunting Kecamatan Argamakmur Bengkulu Utara Tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif, dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 60 orang ibu hamil dengan menggunakan metode cluster sampling. Pengumpulan data asupan gizi ibu hamil melalui Form Food Recall 3 x 24 jam analisis dan bivariat. Penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara asupan karbohidrat, protein dan lemak dengan kejadian KEK pada ibu hamil di Kecamatan Argamakmur Bengkulu Utara dengan p-value diperoleh ≤ 0,05. Nilai OR sebesar 0.647, 0.600 dan 11 artinya ibu yang asupan karbohidrat, protein, dan lemaknya sedikit, lebih berisiko mengalami KEK.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan masalah gizi  yang paling utama di Indonesia. Anemia dapat disebabkan oleh penyakit infeksi, asupan zat gizi yang kurang, kehilangan darah (menstruasi) dan pengetahuan yang dimiliki. Remaja putri merupakan salah satu kelompok yang rawan menderita anemia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pola makan dan  kejadian anemia gizi besi pada remaja putri di Kota Bengkulu. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross cectional. Populasi seluruh remaja putri SMP dan SMA di Kota Bengkulu, dengan sampel sebanyak 1200 remaja putri. Pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner dan pemeriksaan kadar Hemoglobin dengan  menggunakan metode cyanmethemoglobin. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prevalensi anemia pada remaja di Kota Bengkulu tahun 2013 sebesar 43% dan  pola makan  remaja tidak baik 79,2%,  Tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan tentang anemia dengan kejadian anemia dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara pola makan dengan kejadian anemia (p value > 0,05).  Diharapkan kepada  sekolah bersama puskesmas untuk memberikan pendidikan gizi/penyuluhan tentang gizi seimbang  pada remaja, kese hatan reproduksi, suplementasi gizi dan asam folat serta pengadaan kantin sekolah dalam pengembangan program pencegahan dan penanggulangan anemia sehingga remaja terhindar dari anemia.Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan Tentang Anemia, Pola Makan, Anemia remaja Putri

Abstract

Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) menjadi masalah kesehatan utama di Indonesia. Deteksi PTM dan edukasi gizi merupakan langkah penting dalam pencegahan dan pengendalian PTM. Puskesmas Sri Kuncoro dan Pemerintah Desa Panca Mukti bekerjasama dengan Jurusan Gizi Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa konseling gizi dalam rangka Gerakan Serentak (Gertak) Skrining Penyakit Tidak Menular bertempat di Balai Desa Panca Mukti, Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah pada 16 Juli 2024. Konseling gizi dilaksanakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa DIII Gizi. Masyarakat di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sri Kuncoro (lansia dan dewasa berisiko) mendapatkan pemeriksaan/skrining risiko PTM yaitu pemeriksaan tekanan darah, kadar asam urat, kolesterol, dan glukosa darah serta konseling gizi. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam upaya skrining kesehatan dan edukasi gizi sebagai langkah pencegahan PTM.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kejadian stunting di Indonesia masih tinggi dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan, pendidikan, sikap, perilaku ibu infeksi, riwayat ASI eksklusif, budaya, akses ke pelayanan kesehatan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan partisipasi masyarakat melalui intervensi berbasis budaya seperti budaya Paabuki pada masyarakat di Pulau Enggano. Kegiatan Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberdayakan kader dan Paabuki untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kemampuan kader dan ibu baduta tentang ASI Eksklusif Dan MP ASI. Mitra kegiatan adalah kader dan paabuki berjumlah 12 orang. Metode pelaksanaan berupa pelatihan kader, advokasi Paabuki serta edukasi tentang ASI dan MP ASI pada ibu baduta oleh kader yang dilatih. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di wilayah Kecamatan Enggano Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara pada Desa Apoho dan Meok. Evaluasi kegiatan menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengukur pengetahuan kader dan ibu baduta tentang ASI dan MP ASI serta lembar observasi untuk melihat kemampuan kader dalam memberikan edukasi pada ibu baduta. Hasil kegiatan didapatkan peningkatan skor rerata pengetahuan kader sebelum pelatihan dari 65 menjadi 85, rerata skor kemampuan kader dalam melakukan promosi ASI dan MP ASI 1,56. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu baduta tentang ASI dan MP ASI dari rerata skor sebelum promosi 47 meningkat menjadi 80. Disarankan kepada stake holder dan mitra kegiatan agar dapat melanjutkan promosi ASI dan MP ASI di Kecamatan Enggano dengan memberdayakan kader dan paabuki untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan serta mencegah stunting pada baduta.Abstract: The incidence of stunting in Indonesia is still high influenced by knowledge, education, attitudes, behavior of infected mothers, history of exclusive breastfeeding, culture, access to health services. Therefore, community participation is needed through culture-based interventions such as Paabuki culture in the community on Enggano Island. This community service activity aims to empower cadres and Paabuki to improve the knowledge, abilities of cadres and clown mothers about Exclusive Breastfeeding and MP Breastfeeding. The activity partners are cadres and paabuki totaling 12 people. The implementation method is in the form of cadre training, Paabuki advocacy and education about breastfeeding and MP breastfeeding for clown mothers by trained cadres. The activity was carried out in the Enggano District, North Bengkulu Regency in Apoho and Meok Villages. The evaluation of activities used a questionnaire to measure the knowledge of cadres and clowns about breastfeeding and MP breastfeeding as well as observation sheets to see the ability of cadres to provide education to baduta mothers. The results of the activity were an increase in the average score of cadre knowledge before training from 65 to 85, the average score of cadres in promoting breast milk and MP ASI was 1.56. There was an increase in the knowledge of clown mothers about breastfeeding and MP breastfeeding from the average score before the promotion of 47 increased to 80. It is recommended to stakeholders and activity partners to be able to continue the promotion of breastfeeding and MP breastfeeding in Enggano District by empowering cadres and paabuki to increase growth and development and prevent stunting in baduta.

Abstract

Snack bars are snacks in the form of bars that are produced from various food components with added nutrients such as whole grains, dried fruit, or nuts. The aim of the research was to determine the proximate levels and test the organoleptic acceptability of snack bars using a completely randomized design (CRD) with treatment, added green beans and red beans F1 (100:25) F2 (62,5:62,5), F3 (25: 100). Organoleptic tests were carried out with 30 training panelists. The data were analyzed using the Kruskall Wallis test and continued with Mann Whitney. The results on the proximate level test was found that the highest water content value was in formula 1 (15,509%), the ash content in formula 1 was 2,547%, and the fat content in formula 1 was 22,751. Meanwhile, the highest protein content was in formula 3 (25,68%), carbohydrate content was 48,023% and the highest food fiber content was in formula 1 (17,512%). Result of proximate analysis and organoleptic tests was Formula 1 (100g green bean flour and 25g red bean flour) as the best product. The resulting formula can be a nutritious alternative as snack, with high level of protein, carbohydrates and fiber. The implications of developing a snack bar is not only nutritious, but also tastes good. This opens up opportunities to diversify healthier snack products by utilizing local resources.

Abstract

Background: The 2022 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey results show that the stunting rate reaches 21.6%, wasting 7.7%, and underweight 17.7%. Malnutrition problems in toddlers, especially those suffering from Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI), are often exacerbated by the provision of Complementary Feeding that does not meet nutritional standards. Therefore, greater attention to complementary feeding quality is essential to improving children's nutritional status and reducing the risk of ARI complications.Objective: To identify the relationship between the quality of complementary breastfeeding and nutritional conditions, such as underweight, wasting, and stunting, in children under two years of age suffering from ARI, as an urgent effort to address malnutrition problems and improve children's health in vulnerable communities.Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with a target of toddlers aged 6-24 months who suffered from ARI, with a sample of 96 children. Data on complementary breastfeeding was collected through interviews using questionnaires, as well as weight measurements with digital scales and height with a lenghtboard. Statistical analysis using the Chi-square test.Results: Nutritional problems in two-year-old children with ISPA were found to be 44.8% underweight, 60.4% wasting, and 36.5% stunting. Complementary Feeding quality that did not meet the recommendations was significantly associated with the incidence of being underweight (p-value 0.035; OR 2.488), and wasting (p-value <0.0001; OR 6.657), but was not significantly associated with the incidence of stunting (p-value 0.95; OR 0.973).Conclusion: The quality of Complementary Feeding that does not meet nutritional standards in children with ARI is significantly related to the incidence of underweight and wasting.

Abstract

Potassium intake can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure, whereas low sodium consumption can increase blood pressure. Although the use of fruits and probiotics as alternative drinks to reduce blood pressure has been widely practiced, research on the combination of fruit juice and probiotics from melon juice is still very rare. This study aimed to measure the effect of administering fruit juice with a combination of probiotics and melon juice on blood pressure in prehypertensive patients. An experimental research design with a randomized group design was conducted at the Jembatan Kecil Health Center, Bengkulu City, in 2024. A total of 28 respondents were selected using purposive sampling, The instruments used were digital blood pressure and 24-hour recall form, with statistical analysis using ANOVA and Duncan’s test. Results, showed that the average systolic and diastolic blood pressure before the intervention was 138/87 mmHg, and after the intervention dropped to 122/79 mmHg. There were differences in systolic (p=0,000) and diastolic (p=0,006) blood pressure between the treatment groups, with the third treatment showing the greatest effect. In conclusion, fruit juice with a combination of probiotic melon juice has a significant effect in reducing blood pressure in prehypertensive patients and has a harmless effect, which can be used as a non-medical treatment for prehypertensive patients.

Abstract

Nutritional Nutritional status is an important indicator in determining the level of health and growth of children. A good diet plays a role in meeting nutritional needs and contributing to the quality of early childhood health. This study aims to determine the description of the diet and nutritional status of children aged 24–59 months in the working area of ​​the Tumbuan Health Center UPT, Seluma Regency. This study used a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples was 52 mothers who had children aged 24–59 months who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) and nutritional status measurements using body weight and height, then analyzed univariately. The results showed that most children had a good diet, with fairly good consumption of animal and vegetable protein. As many as 90.4% of children had a weight according to age in the normal category, 84.6% had a height according to age in the normal category, and 82.7% had good nutritional status based on weight according to height. Conclusion: The majority of children aged 24–59 months have good eating patterns and normal nutritional status based on weight, height, and weight to height. It is recommended that parents increase their nutritional knowledge and routinely monitor their children's growth through the nearest health service.

Abstract

The level of community participation in utilizing the Integrated Service Post is quite good, but there are still some integrated health posts whose achievements have not reached the national target. Many factors cause a lack of community participation, including work, knowledge, age and education of mothers and family support. The purpose of the activity is to increase the scope of community participation through home care socialization activities with counseling for parents of toddlers. The method of activity is carried out by providing education and counseling as well as monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers by weighing the weight, height, and length of toddlers, accompanied by parents. The activity was carried out for 10 days in the Lingkar Barat Health Center area of ​​Bengkulu City. The results of the home care socialization activity can increase the participation of mothers to come to the Integrated Service Post, in addition, it can increase mothers' knowledge about the nutritional status of toddlers, and the benefits of coming to the Integrated Service Post. Conclusion: there is an increase in community participation after home care activities are carried out with the provision of education and counseling.
