Abstract

Hydroponics requires continuous monitoring of water level and nutrient concentration. This study implements a web-based monitoring system with ESP32, TDS sensor, and water level sensor. Sensor data is sent via RESTful API to a Laravel server and displayed on a responsive dashboard. The main scientific contribution is the implementation of a decoupled RESTful API middleware between hardware and presentation layers, differing from platform-centric approaches. Analysis of 41 sensor readings revealed two operational clusters. The first cluster (20 samples) showed an average of 279.5 ppm (CV 15.2%) with constant water level at 4.8 cm. The second cluster (21 samples) showed an average of 3450.2 ppm (CV 3.5%) with water level at 6.4 cm. Two outliers (3963 ppm and 3751.6 ppm) were identified in the high-concentration cluster, likely due to transient mixing. No significant temporal trends were observed within clusters. API testing achieved 100% success rate, latency <750 ms, and theoretically supports throughput of 185 requests/second with horizontal scalability. A traceability matrix confirmed all six functional requirements. The decoupled RESTful middleware overcomes IoT platform interoperability limitations, enabling future expansion and supporting real-time hydroponic monitoring for urban agriculture

Abstract

Improving the performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) is necessary to support the quality of public services, particularly by strengthening work motivation and work discipline. This study aimed to analyze the effects of work motivation and work discipline on the performance of ASN employees at the Tanon Subdistrict Office, Sragen Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The study population consisted of 35 ASN employees, all of whom were included in the sample using saturated sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression after validity, reliability, normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests had been conducted. The results showed that work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.618, a test statistic of 5.899, and a significance value of less than 0.001. Work discipline also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.376, a test statistic of 4.041, and a significance value of less than 0.001. The adjusted coefficient of determination (adjusted R²) of 0.520 indicated that work motivation and work discipline explained 52.0% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 48.0% was explained by factors outside the research model. This study concludes that work motivation and work discipline are important factors in improving the performance of ASN employees. These findings imply the need to provide recognition, opportunities for self-development, organizational support, supervision, and consistent enforcement of regulations to strengthen employee performance and the quality of public services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of school and family environments on students’ moral development. The research is motivated by variations in students’ moral behavior, including differences in discipline, responsibility, and social attitudes, which indicate the role of environmental factors. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative design. The sample consisted of 60 eighth-grade students selected using cluster sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires supported by observation and documentation, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the school environment has a significant effect on students’ moral development (sig. = 0.033 < 0.05), and the family environment also has a significant effect (sig. = 0.026 < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables have a significant influence (F = 12.951; sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). The regression analysis indicates that the family environment has a more dominant influence compared to the school environment. The coefficient of determination shows that 31.2% of moral development is influenced by school and family environments, while the remaining is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Kalongan, Kecamatan Ungaran Timur, Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji perlakuan jarak tanam rumput gajah odot dan waktu tanam kacang tanah serta interaksi perlakuan terhadap penampilan rumput gajah odot dan kacang tanah. Analisis karakteristik tanah dan tanaman dilakukan di Laboratorium Ekologi dan Produksi Tanaman, Departemen Pertanian, Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang dari bulan September 2020 sampai Februari 2021. Percobaan faktorial 2 x 4 dengan rancangan acak kelompok, 3 kelompok ulangan digunakan dalam penelitian. Faktor pertama jarak tanam rumput gajah odot terdiri dari J1 : 90 cm x 60 cm, dan J2 : 90 cm x 45 cm. Faktor kedua waktu tanam kacang tanah terdiri dari T1 : 2 minggu sebelum potong paksa, T2 : 1 minggu sebelum potong paksa, T3 : pada saat potong paksa, dan T4 : 1 minggu setelah potong paksa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan analisis varian dan selanjutnya diuji menggunakan uji Duncan taraf kepercayaan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi rumput gajah odot pada sistem tumpangsari dengan kacang tanah tidak dipengaruhi oleh jarak tanam rumput gajah odot dan waktu tanam kacang tanah. Produksi total kacang tanah tidak dipengaruhi jarak tanam rumput gajah odot, tetapi waktu tanam kacang tanah berpengaruh terhadap produksi total kacang tanah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa budidaya rumput gajah odot dengan kacang tanah dalam sistem tumpangsari dapat dilakukan dengan memperhatikan jarak dan waktu tanam.
