Abstract

The most recent changes to the criteria in legal process for scientific evidence have emphasized scientific methods of authorship analysis. This study examined the authorship of electronic texts using a quantitative method based on forensic stylistics and computer technologies. This study uses 300 digital texts produced by 100 authors, including 100 questioned texts (Q-text) and 200 known texts (K-text). Personal texts of WhatsApp messages are used in this study as electronic texts. Authorship analysis was conducted by tracing the n-gram and testing all the text sets using the Similarity Comparison Method (SCM). Based on the results of the word 1-gram test, the SCM accuracy was found to be quite high, ranging from 85% to 96%. The findings of employing the tiny set are promising, with the various stylistic traits offering dependable accuracy ranging from 92% to 98.5%. The character-level n-gram tracing indicates a key feature of authorship attribution.

Abstract

Malinau Robusta coffee demonstrates untapped potential within the specialty coffee market. This study aims to evaluate the quality of Malinau coffee comprehensively and benchmark it against prominent specialty coffees such as Gayo, Toraja, and Kintamani. A descriptive quantitative method was employed to analyze critical parameters including caffeine content, moisture level, defect value, impurity level, grain size, and flavor profile. Coffee samples were gained from nine coffee-producing villages in Malinau Regency, involving 28 farmers covering 190 ha of coffee plantations. The results identified distinct strengths of Malinau coffee, notably its low moisture level (10.2%) and high caffeine content (1.94%) among the samples, offering a strong and intense flavor profile including chocolatey, a bitter aftertaste, and fruity undertones. Challenges for Malinau coffee includes high defect value (65.7/300 g) and impurity level (0.6%), which undermine its marketability in premium segments. To bring Malinau coffee up to par with other established specialty coffees, improvements in post harvest handling are needed, particularly sorting, quality control and consistent processes methods. By adopting innovative cultivation and processing, Malinau coffee holds strong potential as a competitor of specialty coffee, both for domestic and global markets while highlighting its unique regional identity. Keywords: Malinau coffee, North Kalimantan, Quality improvement, Robusta, Specialty coffee.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover the social irregularities behind President Joko Widodo's speech on 17/01/2023 entitled "Remarks by President Joko Widodo at the Opening of the National Coordination Meeting of Regional Heads and Forkopimda throughout Indonesia in 2023" related to the prohibition of the establishment of houses of worship. By using the qualitative model of Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis method to uncover social injustice sourced from primary data websites, videos, and literature. Using data collection techniques of free listening and note-taking techniques. The researcher is an instrument of planning, implementing data collection, data analysis, interpretation, and reporting findings. The results of the lexical pragmatic text analysis found social irregularities of rejection and destruction of houses of worship which represent that the applicable constitution can not be implemented, disobeyed, disobeyed, denied, trivialized, and the existence of resistance to the constitution. It was found that there were obstacles to handling social irregularities in the form of consensus (agreement) of community groups in the form of counter-hegemony and the application of regulations in the realization of contradictions between the 1945 Constitution and PBM Number 9 and 8 of 2006. This shows that there are social irregularities that are deliberately perpetuated so that the apparatus and instruments of state power work. So it is necessary to apply intellectual hegemony to apply the constitution, ideology and power. So it concludes that the government to overcome social irregularities must use total hegemony (integral) without violence, using the constitution and the state ideology apparatus, so that power can regulate the order of worship and religion in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the patterns and kinds of the prefixes and suffixes of the Selogudigan dialect, a Javanese dialect used by the Selogudig society living in the Probolinggo district. The study is descriptive qualitative and uses a morphological approach to analyze the data, especially in affixation. An interview was done to collect and clarify the data. The interview is transcripted in a phonetical transcription by using IPA symbols. Based on the analysis, it is found that there are five significant prefixes and eight significant suffixes used in the Selogudigan dialect. The prefixes are {N-, i-, mən-, sə-, a-}. The prefix {N-} has allomorphs. They are {m-, n-, ŋ-, ɲ-, ŋə-}. The suffixes are {-i, -an, -ane, -ni, -ən, -nɔ, -ɔnɔ, -e}. The result of this study implies that the affixes which form the morphological pattern of Selogudig vocabularies are often pronounced not in a way the original affixes do. Not to mention, several affixes also change the word class of the root morpheme.

Abstract

This study is to analyse the representation and characteristics of speech acts in Indonesian high school EFL textbooks, with two focuses: 1) the representation of speech acts; and 2) the characteristics of their presentation. Using qualitative method and critical discourse analysis, the data were taken from the textbooks of grade X by Widiati, U., Rohmah, Z., & Furidah (2017; 2018) and grade XI by Bashir (2017). The researcher acted as an instrument, using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, the presentation of speech acts already exists in the textbooks, but it is inadequate, because there are only four: assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, while there is no declarative type. In addition, the representation is also less varied. Second, the characteristics of speech acts presentation are adequate to facilitate understanding for students in developing their English competence. The speech acts are presented in the form of speaking skill materials and dialogue examples. This study underlines the need to improve the representation and presentation of functional speech acts in Indonesian high school EFL education.

Abstract

Scale Up of “Rahel” Fried Shallot UKM: Transforming Production and Digital Marketing through Technological Innovation Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in strengthening Indonesia’s national and regional economies. However, most MSMEs still face challenges related to production efficiency and digital marketing capacity. One of them is “Rahel” Fried Shallot MSME located in Pesisir Village, Sumberasih District, Probolinggo Regency, which struggles to increase production capacity, maintain product consistency, and adopt digital-based marketing strategies. This community service program aimed to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and digital marketing skills through the implementation of technological innovation and managerial assistance. The program was conducted for five months using a participatory–applicative approach involving lecturers and students from Universitas Panca Marga. The activities included initial observation, application of automatic peeling, slicing, and oil-draining machines, training on Android-based accounting applications, and digital marketing workshops. The results demonstrated a 50% increase in production capacity (from 20 kg to 30 kg per day), a 20% reduction in oil content, and approximately 30% growth in sales turnover through the utilization of e-commerce platforms such as Shopee and Tokopedia. The program also provided valuable experiential learning opportunities for students participating under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) scheme. Supported by appropriate technology and digitalization, UKM Rahel has become more efficient, independent, and competitive in the digital era, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 on decent work and economic growth.
