Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 era gives a huge challenge for higher education institutions. They are demanded to be able to produce skilled, competent, and creative graduates in competing their skill in regional, national, and international scopes. Edu-technopreneurship is an important issue necessarily conducted by higher education institutions to face this challenge. This study aimed to map a topic on edu-technopreneurship in scopus and a chance of its development in language, literature, and literacy fields. By using keywords of “education”, “technology”, and “entreprenership” in the scopus page, were found 1,383 documents discussing about these topics. These data were then analyzed quantitatively to see the developmental trend happening. Besides, a bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOS viewer to see the interrelation between documents. The result shows that studies on these topics have been frequently conducted and experiencing improvement significantly by the year. They are often related to economy, technique, technology, and education. However, they do not deal with langauge, literature, and literacy. It indicates that there is a big opportunity and challenge to study the “edu-technopreneurship” in language, literature, and literacy fields in the future.

Abstract

Literacy entrepreneurship is a field of entrepreneurship that focuses on developing language and literature-based products and services to strengthen literacy culture in society. The role of higher education is very important in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of literacy. Research shows that many students still face challenges in developing literacy-based businesses, such as a lack of knowledge about business management, unsupportive attitudes, and inadequate practical skills. Therefore, it is important to explore the level of entrepreneurial literacy knowledge, attitudes and skills among college students in order to design effective educational programs. Entrepreneurship education in higher education does not only focus on opening a business, but also on forming character, mindset and entrepreneurial behavior. This research aims to fill this gap by analyzing the level of knowledge, attitudes and literacy entrepreneurial skills of students, as well as providing recommendations for developing a more effective and comprehensive literacy entrepreneurship education curriculum. It is hoped that the research results can be used by higher education institutions to design programs that are more suited to student needs and support the development of literacy entrepreneurship education programs

A total of 92 relevant articles wereanalyzed using VOSviewer to visualize keyword networks and term developments. The analysis resultsshow a significant increase in the number of publications, particularly in 2023 and 2024. The most citedarticles discuss the reconstruction of masculinity in relation to gender equality and its representationacross various media, such as novels, films, folklore, and online comics. The most dominant keywordsare “masculinity,” “representation,” and “novel.” The bibliometric visualization illustrates a shift in thefocus of studies from basic gender and patriarchy concepts toward contemporary masculinity andpopular media issues. Abstract

The ecological crisis is getting worse over time, resulting in various problems. The ecological crisis is widely represented in literary works but not much has been studied regarding its impact so it needs to be explained in depth. This study aimed to describe the impact of the ecological crisis represented in “Sumur”, a short story by Eka Kurniawan. The data of this research were words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, and discourse in the short story. The data collection technique was a document analysis using the theory of ecocriticsm. The data validity technique used theoretical triangulation through data validity activities based on various theoretical perspectives. The novelty of the research was that no one had previously analyzed the ecocriticism in the short story before. The data analysis technique used interactive analysis. The findings indicated that the impact of the ecological crisis represented in "Sumur" short story included: 1) the effects on the environment in the form of drought, loss of water sources, loss of animal food and habitat, damage to agriculture, climate change, and damage to biodiversity; and 2) the effects on the socio-cultural relations of the community in the form of death and anxiety, population migration and urbanization, and the loss of community culture.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of comprehensive research on the representation of masculinity in classic Indonesian dangdut songs from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. These songs contain authentic social constructions of male roles and characters in society, but have not been analyzed in depth using masculinity theory. This study aims to identify and analyze how male masculinity is represented in the lyrics of classic dangdut songs through the seven dimensions of masculinity proposed by Janet Saltzman Chafetz, namely physical, functional, sexual, emotional, intellectual, interpersonal, and personal characteristics. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a critical discourse analysis approach. The results show that masculinity is presented in a multidimensional way: physically strong and tough; responsible as a breadwinner and leader; subtly expressing sexual interest; reflecting emotions such as regret and sadness; thinking logically and wisely; maintaining relationships with responsibility and maturity; and adhering to spiritual values and principles of life. These findings confirm that masculinity in classic dangdut songs is not merely synonymous with dominance, but also reflects the emotional, rational, and spiritual sides of men in Indonesian popular culture.

Abstract

Tungguk Tembakau is a traditional ceremony marking the beginning of the tobacco harvest in Senden Village, Boyolali, as an expression of gratitude to God. Although it is carried out regularly, a deep understanding of its value and symbolic meaning has begun to fade among the community. This study aims to explore the cultural values and symbolic meanings of the Tungguk Tembakau tradition. Using qualitative methods, this study integrates James Spradley's ethnographic approach and Roland Barthes' semiotics. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with purposively selected informants (traditional leaders, village officials, farmers), and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through two systematic approaches: first, ethnographic analysis (domain, taxonomy, components, and cultural themes) to reveal value orientations; second, semiotic analysis through a two-stage system of signification (denotation and connotation/myth) to dissect ritual artifacts. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The results of the study reveal four cultural value orientations: (1) The relationship between humans and God as an expression of gratitude; (2) The relationship between humans and nature, reflecting agricultural cosmology and ecological dependence; (3) Interpersonal relationships through mutual solidarity; and (4) The relationship between humans and time through respect for ancestors. Semiotically, each procession is a symbolic language. The picking of 16 tobacco leaves symbolizes obedience to the cosmic order, while the parade functions as a ritual to ward off evil spirits. Various forms of gunungan and tamping offerings connote prosperity, soil fertility, and collective hopes for a smooth seasonal transition. This study concludes that Tungguk Tembakau is a complex symbolic system that strengthens cultural identity and maintains harmony between spirituality and the social order of agrarian communities.

Abstract

This research aims to examine food as a cultural text in the Javanese Village Clean tradition through the perspective of gastrocriticism with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. A total of 25 selected articles were analyzed using the PRISMA flow to explore how food functions as a symbol, a medium of communication, and a representation of cultural identity in the context of Javanese rituals. The results of the study show that ritual foods such as tumpeng, jenang, and offerings have a construction of meaning related to Javanese cosmology, social solidarity, and community value structure. An analysis of the cultural theories of Barthes, Douglas, and Lévi-Strauss reveals that food is not only an object of consumption, but also a system of signs that negotiates man's relationship with nature, ancestors, and communities. Most previous studies have focused on symbolic or ethnographic aspects, while this study found gaps in the integration of culinary discourse analysis with the dynamics of modernity. These findings confirm the need for a multidisciplinary approach to reading food as a cultural text, while also opening up space for further research on the transformation of traditional culinary meanings in contemporary social change. Thus, this study makes a conceptual and methodological contribution to the development of culinary cultural studies, especially in the context of Javanese rituals.
