Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the practicality and effectiveness of electronic student worksheets based on ethnoscience in training smart risk-taking behavior and a growth mindset. The research employed a hybrid type III mixed-method with a sequential explanatory design, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. The subjects of the study were junior high school students in Lampung Province, selected randomly. The worksheets were developed based on ethnoscience principles, integrating local culture, traditional knowledge, and scientific knowledge, with validity tested by experts. Quantitative data were collected through product validity tests and hypothesis testing, while qualitative data were gathered through interviews and observations. Quantitative analysis showed a validity score of 91.60% with very high criteria, and hypothesis testing indicated significant differences between the experimental and control classes in the ability to exhibit smart risk-taking behavior and a growth mindset. Based on these results, it is concluded that ethnoscience-based worksheets are effective in training smart risk-taking behavior and a growth mindset, emphasizing the importance of integrating local cultural context in educational tools to enhance learning outcomes and personal development. Abstract

Efforts to grow HOTS in high school students are very important to provide for 21st century skills and the demands of the industrial revolution era 4.0. One of these efforts is by providing teaching materials that can stimulate HOTS. This research was aimed to develop a fluid e-module with a valid, effective, and practical STEM approach to stimulate HOTS for high school students. We used the ADDIE R & D model research method which consists of five stages, which are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The developed e-module product was examined for validity, legibility, effectiveness, and practicality tests. The e-module validity test was conducted by five physics learning experts using a Likert scale questionnaire instrument and analyzed using the percentage technique. The legibility test was conducted by five high school students using a Likert scale questionnaire. The practicality test was carried out in senior high schools in Bandar Lampung using a Likert scale questionnaire. The effectiveness test was carried out using the one-group pretest-posttest design. The effectiveness of the dynamic fluid e-module in stimulating HOTS was determined based on the N-gain value and the difference between the pretest and posttest means. The data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Sign Rank test. Abstract

This study investigated the effect of using a video-assisted problem-based learning model on class VII students' critical thinking abilities on environmental pollution material. This research was conducted using quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent control group. The research data were in the form of qualitative data (critical thinking skills) and quantitative (student responses to learning using the video-assisted PBL model). Data analysis used the T-test (p<0.05). The results showed that there was an influence of using the video-assisted PBL model on students' critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material (p<0.05). The indicator for building basic skills obtained the highest average N-gain, namely 0.82 in the very good category. Meanwhile, the results of the student response questionnaire regarding the use of the video-assisted PBL model showed positive student responses with an average score of 89.67% in the very good category.         Keywords: critical thinking skills, PBL, environmental pollution and video. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i1.pp486-495

Abstract

This study aims to develop a computer-based test instrument using the valid Wondershare Quiz Creator (WQC) to measure HOTS in temperature and heat material. This study uses research and development research methods and the research design used refers to the research design by Borg & Gall. Data analysis was performed by means of internal validation tests by a team of experts. This test instrument has been tested by experts consisting of the material validation test with a score of 3.10 (valid), construction with a score of 2.88 (valid), and language with a score of 3.63 (very valid). The CBT setting on this product is also very valid with an average score of 3.68. The sig value of the difference in the level of validity and complexity in the types of multiple choice, multiple response, matching, and sequence items obtained was> 0.05, which indicates that there was no difference in the average validity and complexity between the four types of questions at each cognitive level. Keywords: Test instruments, Wondershare Quiz Creator (WQC), HOTS.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v22i1.pp45-51

Abstract

This research is a development research that uses the ADDIE Design Research and Development (R&D) model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The purpose of this study is to describe the validity and practicality. Augmented reality-assisted flashcards on linear motion material to increase students' learning interest. Product validity was assessed by 3 experts consisting of aspects of material and construct assessment as well as aspects of media and design assessment with an overall average score of 3.64 with a very valid category. The practicality of the product is assessed from the readability aspect and the teacher's perception aspect by obtaining an overall average percentage of 95% in the very practical category. Based on the analysis of the results of the data, it was concluded that the product resulting from the development of augmented reality-assisted flashcards on linear motion material was valid and practical to increase students' interest in learning.Keywords: flashcards, augmented reality, learning interest, linear motion.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i1.pp291-297

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a test instrument for high school physical reasoning abilities related to rotational dynamics. This study aimed to determine: Quality of the Instrument Quality of the Higher Order Thinking Ability Instrument in senior high school Physics, including content validity of the expert judgment, empirical validity based on item suitability using the Rasch and PCM models, reliability, and item difficulty index; and profile of high school physics advanced reasoning test scores. This research is research and development. The development model used is based on the Borg & Gall development model. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Bandar Lampung with 42 students in class XI. Using the Quest program, reliability was analyzed using the Quest program, which was represented by internal consistency values and item difficulty indexes analyzed using the Quest program. The results of the ability measurement profile are grouped into three categories presented in the analysis of the Quest program assessment. Research and development resulted in a high-quality thinking ability test instrument for high school physics. The results are the quality of the tool's content based on the actual assessment in the valid category. Empirical validity is based on the suitability of the item with the Rasch model IRT approach with highly reliable criteria. Task difficulty varies from -2.17 to 1.51. Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut guru mampu melaksanakan asesmen autentik yang mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Namun, banyak guru Matematika dan IPA masih kesulitan merancang dan melaksanakan asesmen autentik berbasis HOTS, khususnya dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru khususnya terkait penyusunan dan pengimplementasian asesmen autentik HOTS melalui aplikasi Edpuzzle. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan, praktik penyusunan instrumen asesmen, pendampingan implementasi, dan refleksi hasil. Peserta terdiri atas 30 guru Matematika serta guru IPA (Fisika, Kimia, Biologi) di Lampung Selatan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest, posttest, dan penilaian produk. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang cukup signifikan pada pemahaman dan keterampilan guru, dengan 53% mengalami peningkatan sedang dan 47% peningkatan tinggi berdasarkan nilai N-Gain. Guru mampu merancang soal kontekstual berbasis analisis, evaluasi, dan kreasi, serta mengintegrasikan Edpuzzle untuk asesmen yang lebih interaktif dan efisien. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong perubahan paradigma penilaian menjadi lebih konstruktif dan reflektif, serta memperkuat implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka melalui pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi dan teknologi digital.

Abstract

The PRISMA-E’xi learning model integrates multiple-representation approaches, the engineering design process (STEM), and strategies designed to enhance students’ creative problem-solving skills. This study aimed to evaluate the model’s practicality through an initial implementation in senior high school physics instruction. A quantitative descriptive design was employed at the developmental research limited-trial stage, involving one tenth-grade class at SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung across six instructional sessions. Data were collected through validated observation sheets assessing model implementation, teacher performance, and student activities, as well as questionnaires measuring teacher and student responses. The findings demonstrated high practicality, with implementation scoring 91.17%, teacher performance 92.31%, and student activity 88.33%, all categorized as “Excellent.” Teacher and student responses were overwhelmingly positive, with agreement levels of 98.00% and 98.95%, respectively. Although minor technical refinements were suggested, the core structure of the model remained intact and ready for broader deployment. Overall, the results indicate that PRISMA-E’xi is highly implementable, well-received, and holds strong potential to enhance student engagement and higher-order thinking in physics learning while providing teachers with a structured framework that supports 21st-century skills development.
