Abstract

Abstract

This study presents the conceptual foundation and objectives of a storytelling training program that leverages Sundanese local wisdom as a pedagogical tool to enhance positive character development among early childhood learners. Employing participatory and practice-oriented methodologies, the training yielded significant improvements in educators’ understanding and instructional competencies, alongside observable benefits in children's character formation. The findings highlight the pedagogical value of integrating indigenous cultural values into early childhood education curricula as a strategic approach to cultivating morally grounded future generations. The urge for this initiative arises from the pressing need to instill positive character traits from an early age, particularly in the context of globalization, which poses a threat to the preservation of local cultural heritage. Prior research has underscored the critical role of local wisdom in character education. Within the contemporary educational discourse, there is an increasing emphasis on guarding traditional values while navigating global cultural shifts. This article particularly examines storytelling as a culturally responsive and effective pedagogical method for embedding Sundanese moral and ethical values into early childhood education, thereby fostering holistic character development.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the effect of organizational culture and service quality on patient loyalty, with patient satisfaction as a mediating variable. The research focuses on Siloam Kupang General Hospital, where improving service quality and cultivating a strong culture are essential for sustaining patient loyalty in a competitive healthcare environment. Methodology: A quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to data collected from 200 outpatients through structured questionnaires. Four latent variables organizational culture, service quality, patient satisfaction, and patient loyalty were analyzed using SmartPLS 4. Results: The findings reveal that both organizational culture (? = 0.293; p < 0.001) and service quality (? = 0.306; p = 0.001) significantly influence patient loyalty. Patient satisfaction also has a significant effect on loyalty (? = 0.294; p = 0.001) and mediates the relationships between organizational culture and loyalty (? = 0.141; p = 0.006), as well as between service quality and loyalty (? = 0.097; p = 0.034). The model demonstrates substantial explanatory power (R² = 0.633) and high predictive relevance (Q² = 0.462). Conclusion: Strengthening organizational culture and improving service quality are key strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and loyalty. Hospitals should prioritize patient-centered values, effective communication, and responsive services to build lasting trust. Limitations: The study is limited to a single hospital and a specific patient group, restricting generalizability. Contribution: This research extends the understanding of mediating mechanisms between culture, service quality, and loyalty, offering managerial insight for hospital service excellence and patient retention strategies.

Abstract

Maybank Indonesia Finance is a financing company operating in Indonesia. In this research, there are various factors that can underlie consumer purchasing decisions. Researchers will focus on price, product and brand image as factors that can encourage consumer purchasing decisions. The existence of these various factors made researchers interested in conducting research entitled "Price and Product Analysis of Purchasing Decisions Mediated by Brand Image at Maybank Indonesia Finance Lampung Branch" as the title of this research. This type of research is causal research because it is research that looks for relationships - effects (causal relationships). The population in this research is all Maybank Indonesia Finance customers. In this research, the samples that will be taken are Maybank Indonesia Finance customers at the Bandar Lampung branch. The minimum sample size is 135 samples. Data was collected using a questionnaire, and analysis was carried out using Linear Regression and Path Analysis.  From the research findings, the four variables namely price, product, brand image, and purchase decision, are within the "good" range. This indicates that these factors are perceived positively by Maybank Finance customers in Bandar Lampung. The analysis also shows that there is an influence among these variables, both partially and through mediation, affirming the importance of interrelated relationships among them. Therefore, it is recommended for the company to pay attention to good pricing policies, design products that meet consumer needs, and develop a strong brand image to drive consumer purchase decisions for Maybank Finance Indonesia products.

Abstract

The quality of healthcare services is one of the key factors in the success of health systems across countries. The professionalism of nurses in hospitals plays a crucial role in the delivery of healthcare services. Hospitals are often high-pressure work environments that require nurses to operate in dynamic and uncertain conditions. In such challenging settings, numerous factors affect nurse performance, one of which is job stress. Job stress refers to a pattern of emotional conditions that arise in response to demands from within or outside the organization. This study aims to analyze the influence of job stress and work motivation on job satisfaction, and their implications for nurse performance. The sampling method used in this study is probability sampling. The total population at Sumber Waras Hospital consists of 241 nurses, including 42 outpatient nurses, 69 inpatient nurses, 22 dialysis nurses, 33 operating room nurses, 55 intensive care nurses, and 20 emergency nurses. Therefore, the sample used in this study comprises 69 inpatient nurses. The results of the study indicate that job stress has a significant effect on job satisfaction, meaning that higher levels of job stress tend to decrease job satisfaction. Work motivation significantly affects job satisfaction, indicating that higher motivation among inpatient nurses increases their job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction has a significant influence on nurse performance, showing that nurses who are satisfied with their jobs tend to perform better.
