Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbandingan keterampilan proses sains terpadu siswa SMA Negeri 1 Balinggi berdasarkan gender. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif komparatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA yang terdiri dari XI IPA 1, XI IPA 2, dan XI IPA 3 yang secara keseluruhan berjumlah 94 siswa, yaitu 48 orang siswa laki-laki dan 46 orang siswa perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu tes keterampilan proses sains terpadu. Data yang diperoleh dari responden kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tes keterampilan proses sains terpadu diperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa laki-laki sebesar 6,42, sedangkan nilai rata-rata siswa perempuan sebesar 7,37, dan hasil uji statistik menunjukkan nilai ttabel sebesar 1,98 sedangkan nilai thitung sebesar 2,32 sehingga dapat dinyatakan ada perbedaan keterampilan proses sains terpadu antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata bahwa keterampilan proses sains terpadu siswa perempuan lebih tinggi daripada siswa laki-laki.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh teknologi instruksional terhadap keyakinan diri dan penguasaan konsep dasar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Tadulako. Sampel terdiri dari 33 mahasiswa semester 3–5 angkatan 2021, 2022, dan 2023. Data keyakinan diri dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, sementara penguasaan konsep fisika melalui tes. Analisis data mencakup uji normalitas, linearitas, regresi linier sederhana, dan korelasi Pearson. Hasil menunjukkan teknologi instruksional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keyakinan diri (32,9%) dan penguasaan konsep fisika (32,5%). Korelasi positif ditemukan antara keyakinan diri dan penguasaan konsep dasar (r=0,562, Sig=0,001). Dalam teknologi instruksional, perangkat keras memiliki dampak terendah (1,9). Pada keyakinan diri, keyakinan memahami konsep dasar fisika terendah (3,02), sementara dalam penguasaan konsep, penerapan konsep untuk pemecahan masalah terendah (56,9). Temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya intervensi tambahan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dasar fisika. Integrasi teknologi instruksional disarankan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan pemahaman mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesulitan siswa menyelesaikan soal fisika SMA Negeri 1 Baras. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes esai yang berasal dari guru mata pelajaran fisika. Data hasil tes kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan tahapan polya untuk menentukan presentase tingkat kesulitan siswa menyelesaikan soal fisika. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tingkat kesulitan siswa berdasarkan tahapan polya yaitu pada tahap memahami masalah kesulitan yang dialami siswa sebesar 42% dengan kesalahan tidak menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan apa yang ditanyakan dan tidak menuliskan simbol. Kesulitan pada tahap menyusun rencana yaitu sebesar 33% yaitu siswa keliru dalam menuliskan rumus dan tidak menuliskan rumus. Pada tahap melaksanakan rencana kesulitan siswa sebasar 37% yaitu menuliskan langkah penyelesaian hanya 1 poin dan hasil akhir salah, menuliskan langkah penyelesaian soal tapi salah, keliru dalam perhitungan dan hanya menuliskan jawaban tanpa proses penyelesaian. Pada tahap memeriksa kembali kesulitan siswa sebesar 64% yaitu tidak memeriksa kembali jawaban sebelum dikumpulkan.

Abstract

The study's purpose was to describe students' learning difficulties in physics, the causes of students' learning difficulties in physics, and the remediation to solve students' difficulties. This research was exploratory research with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The populations of this study were eleventh-grade students of SMAN 6 Palu. The respondents were chosen based on the lowest posttest results. The research instruments were OSRT treatment, pretest, posttest, and diagnostic test. The data were analyzed by comparing the pretest results, the posttest, and the gain score to determine the improvement after the remediation. Respondent A obtained 0.71 within the high category, respondent B obtained 0.69 within the high category, respondent C obtained 0.85 within the high category, respondent D obtained 0.84 within the high category, and respondent E obtained 0.46 within the moderate category. It can be concluded that internal and external factors caused difficulties. The internal factors were students' weak basic knowledge and weak material prerequisites, while the external factors were the teacher's learning methods that did not attract students' attention. The OSRT can overcome the difficulty in understanding Newton's law's concept to improve their ability to understand physics concepts.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the process of students' metacognition in solving physics problems on linear motion. The subjects of this study were 34 students of class XI IPA 5 SMA Negeri Model Terpadu Madani Palu. 6 respondents were selected from 34 students who represented high, medium and low category that consisted of 2 respondents each category. The selection of respondents was taken using purposive sampling technique. The data in this study were collected through observation, written essay tests and interviews. The research data were analyzed through a descriptive-qualitative approach. Based on the results of the analysis and conformity with metacognitive indicators, it showed that the high category students' metacognition fulfills all the problem-solving steps, so that the high category students are at the Reflective Use metacognitive level. Based on the results of the analysis and conformity with the metacognitive indicators, it showed that the students' metacognition in the medium and low categories have not fulfilled all the problem-solving steps, so that the middle and low category students are at the Aware Use metacognitive level.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an animated video of the tsunami occurrence process as an effort to reduce disaster risk. This research refered to the ADDIE learning model which consists of 5 stages, including needs analysis, product design, product development, limited product testing and evaluation of products that have been developed. After validation and revision, the developed product was tested on a limited basis. The research subjects in this study were 10 students of SMP N 10 Palu and 5 Physics Teacher Candidates. Based on the results of data analysis showed that the average score of the feasibility test for the quality of animated videos was 3.75 in the "Very Good" category by material experts, 3.17 in the "Good" category by media experts, 3.44 in the "Very Good" category by the students, and 3.47 in the "Very Good" category by prospective physics teachers. These results showed that the animated video of the tsunami occurrence process as one of the efforts to reduce disaster risk that has been developed was suitable for learning media.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe students’ understanding on graph representation while solving Work and Energy problems. This study used descriptive qualitative method. 30 students were given a test before selecting 6 respondents for further investigation. These 6 respondents consisted of 2 of high ability category, 2 of medium category, while the other 2 were in low category. The data in this study were collected through observation, written tests in the form of descriptions and interviews. Data were analysed using the stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the ability of high school students to explain the graph of work and energy was in low category. This is due to several factors, including a lack of interest in working on graph problems that require interpretation, graph questions that have never been tested by the teacher, making it difficult for respondents to work on these questions. Also, students found it difficult to understand questions about the slope of the graph. Based on the results of tests and interviews, it was shown that students had difficulty interpreting the area under the graph, misinterpreting and misunderstood the graph. In addition, students could not read graphs and only answer tests by making up the answers, and did not understand the topic of work and energy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of students' abilities in solving physics problems based on multiple representations. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research was conducted at Man Insan Cendekia Palu City in the 2019/2020 academic year. The subjects in this study were 15 students of class X IPA Asy-Syams Man IC Palu City. The test consists of 4 multi-representation questions, namely verbal representations, pictures, graphs and mathematical representations. The results showed that the comparison of students' ability to solve physics problems based on multi-representations, obtained an average percentage of 45.33% (enough) for verbal representation, image representation of 58.16% (enough), graphic representation of 66.46% ( good), and mathematical representation of 74.33% (good). Based on the average percentage of each representation, the highest representation of the three representations is the mathematical representation. Based on the interviews, respondents said that solving problems in mathematical form was easier. Meanwhile the lowest representation was verbal representation. Students thought that verbal representation questions are the most difficult to understand because students are unable to find or identify information in the form of words alone.

Abstract

Learning in remote areas needs attention regarding the use of laboratory equipment. Laboratory equipment is needed in science learning. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to apply science laboratory equipment to improve the learning outcomes of elementary school students in remote areas. This study used an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest research design and was conducted in three elementary schools in Donggala Regency, namely SDN 3 Labuan Toposo, SDN 27 South Banawa, and SDN 7 Rio Pakava. The students involved in the research were 14 students at SDN 3 Labuan Toposo, 11 students at SDN 27 Banawa Selatan, and 27 students at SDN 7 Rio Pakava. Learning begins with giving an initial test (pretest), after learning a final test (posttest) is given and students are asked to fill out an interest questionnaire. The test results showed an increase from pretest to posttest. Students have a high interest in learning science by using laboratory equipment. This means that science laboratory equipment has a positive impact on science learning for elementary schools in remote areas.

Abstract

This research is quantitative descriptive. This study aims to describe the implementation of the scientific approach in physics subjects according to the perceptions of state high school students in Palu City. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire given to 102 students spread across 4 public high schools in Palu City. The results of this study indicate that the scientific approach as a whole has been implemented with an average value of 80.44 and the respondents who stated that the scientific approach has been implemented were obtained by 77.45% and based on the categorization of the statement items it was included in the implemented category but from the five phases: observing, asking, trying, associating and communicating in their respective applications also still have shortcomings that need to be improved.
