Abstract

Antosianin merupakan pigmen alami yang berperan penting sebagai antioksidan namun stabilitasnya relatif rendah terhadap faktor lingkungan seperti cahaya, pH dan suhu. Upaya untuk meningkatkan stabilitas antosianin dapat dilakukan melalui mekanisme kopigmentasi dengan senyawa polifenol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh kopigmentasi antara antosianin beras hitam (Oryza sativa L. indica) dengan polifenol yang diperoleh dari rebusan kacang kedelai (Glycine max L.) terhadap kestabilan warna dan aktivitas antioksidan. Ekstraksi antosianin dilakukan menggunakan pelarut asam sitrat, sedangkan polifenol kacang kedelai diperoleh melalui ekstraksi maserasi dari rebusan kacang kedelai yang diperkaya senyawa fenolik. Kopigmentasi dilakukan dengan variasi rasio perbandingan 1:1, 1:2 dan 1:3, kemudian dianalisis melalui spektrofotometri UV-Vis untuk menentukan pergeseran λmaks, intensitas warna, serta kestabilan pigmen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan polifenol kacang kedelai mampu meningkatkan intensitas warna pada antosianin beras hitam. Selain itu, aktivitas antioksidan menunjukkan peningkatan dibandingkan antosianin tunggal, menandakan adanya sinergi antara kedua senyawa bioaktif. Dengan demikian, kopigmentasi antosianin beras hitam dengan polifenol kacang kedelai berpotensi meningkatkan kestabilan pigmen alami, dengan rasio 1:1 menunjukkan keseimbangan terbaik antara stabilitas warna dan aktivitas antioksidan.

Abstract

Jahe merah (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum) merupakan tanaman obat yang diketahui memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi dan antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menstandarisasi ekstrak etanol jahe merah melalui penentuan kandungan fenolik total dan parameter non-spesifik. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan etanol 75% selama 1x24 jam. Kandungan fenolik total dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode Follin-Ciocalteu dan hasilnya dinyatakan dalam satuan mg GAE. Parameter non-spesifik yang ditentukan meliputi kadar air, kadar abu, dan kadar sari larut etanol dengan metode gravimetri. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ekstrak etanol jahe merah memiliki kadar air sebesar 12,87%, kadar abu 7,45%, kadar sari larut etanol 6,23% dan kandungan fenolik total sebesar 136,7mg GAE/g ekstrak. Data ini memberikan dasar ilmiah untuk standarisasi ekstrak jahe merah sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku produk farmasi dengan mutu yang terukur.

Abstract

Diabetic wounds are a major clinical challenge due to delayed healing and increased complication risks. Ethanol extract of avocado leaves (Persea americana Mill.) has previously shown promise in enhancing tissue regeneration in diabetic wounds, but its potential in gel form remains untested. This study aimed to develop an avocado leaf ethanol extract-based gel and evaluate its woundhealing potential in diabetic mice. Avocado leaves were extracted using 70% ethanol and formulated into a gel, which was evaluated for physical properties and topical suitability. Diabetic mice were divided into five groups: normal control, negative control (gel base), positive control (bioplacenton), and two treatment groups (5% and 10% gel). Diabetes was induced using alloxan (150 mg/kg BW), followed by wound induction and treatment. Wound healing was assessed through visual assessment, wound diameter reduction, and healing duration. Statistical analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA with a 95% confidence level. Results showed the gel meets physical properties (pH test, organoleptic test, homogeneity test, spreadability test) and significantly improved wound healing in diabetic mice. The 5% gel demonstrated wound-healing activity due to bioactive compounds such as saponins, tannins, alkaloids, and flavonoids. Further analysis is needed to identify the specific components responsible for the healing effects, highlighting the gel’s potential for diabetic wound treatment.

Abstract

Daun jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L.) mengandung beberapa senyawa aktif, seperti alkaloid, saponin, tannin, terpenoid, steroid, glikosida, senyawa fenol, dan flavonoid yang diduga dapat menurunkan kadar trigliserida dalam serum darah, sehingga dapat mencegah keadaan hipertrigliseridemia. Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas penurunan kadar trigliserida serum setelah pemberian ekstrak etanol daun jarak pagar (EEDJP) variasi dosis pada tikus hipertensi yang diinduksi dengan NaCl dan diberi pakan lemak tinggi. Penelitian eksperimental dengan pre-posttest control group design terhadap tikus jantan galur Wistar. Tikus dibagi menjadi 7 kelompok, yaitu  kelompok normal, kontrol (diinduksi NaCl dan diberi pakan  tinggi lemak), Captopril, Simvastatin, EEDJP dosis 1,8 g/KgBB, 2,7 g/KgBB, 4,05 g/KgBB. Analisis kadar trigliserida serum dengan metode GPO- PAP. Data dianalisis   dengan uji One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, Homogenity of Variances, One-Way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis, dan Mann-Whitney. Induksi NaCl dan pemberian pakan lemak tinggi dapat meningkatkan kadar trigliserida serum yang signifikan (p<0,050). Pemberian EEDJP dapat menurunkan kadar trigliserida serum yang signifikan (p<0,050) pada semua variasi dosis. Kesimpulannya EEDJP dapat menurunkan kadar trigliserida secara signifikan pada dosis 1,8 g/KgBB, 2,7 g/KgBB, 4,05 g/KgBB.
