Abstract

The implementation of the Single Identity Number (SIN) in Indonesia represents a strategic step to integrate the legal framework of population administration with tax administration. This study aims to analyze the policies, legal foundations, and challenges of implementing SIN as an instrument to strengthen public administration governance and increase state revenue. The research applies a normative legal method through literature reviews of regulations, government policies, and scholarly works related to the integration of population and taxation data. The findings indicate that SIN plays a significant role in preventing data duplication, improving the accuracy of taxpayer information, and strengthening inter-agency coordination, particularly between Dukcapil and the Directorate General of Taxes. Nevertheless, several challenges persist, including technological infrastructure limitations, personal data protection issues, and bureaucratic resistance. In conclusion, the successful implementation of SIN requires regulatory reforms, strengthened cybersecurity, and enhanced digital literacy, enabling it to serve as a pillar of legal harmonization and public administration in the fields of population and taxation

Abstract

Waste is a national problem in Indonesia that has not found an optimal solution and tends to get worse. Effective waste management for environmental preservation and extinction is one of the principles of good environmental governance. An important part of good governance is collaboration between the private sector and the community to achieve effective, efficient, and appropriate waste management. This study aims to assess the implementation of waste management in Tuah Karya Village. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show the implementation of Good Environmental Governance in waste management in Pekanbaru, with a focus on the steps that have been taken by local governments to build effective waste management in their respective regions. Several areas in Pekanbaru have implemented good waste management practices, such as building waste banks, recycling waste into new products, and promoting waste reuse. This study examines the forms of implementation of Good Environmental Governance in waste management in Pekanbaru. In the case of Waste Bank management in Tuah Karya, based on the principles of good environmental governance, it turns out that one of the seven principles, namely access to information, has not been able to achieve the goal of realizing a Smart City in Pekanbaru. This is because many residents are still unaware of the existence of the Waste Bank, and many are reluctant to participate. These challenges make it difficult for the Waste Bank to contribute to the ideals of Smart City in Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Social media confers numerous benefits that exert substantial influence within society, establishing Twitter as a prominent platform for political communication. This research examines the effect of Gerindra Party's Twitter account on shaping voter engagement in the 2024 election. The Gerindra Party maintains the Twitter account named 'Gerindra', which has published 3,250 tweets and has garnered 679,854 followers.  The research employs a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the Twitter accounts of the Gerindra and Prabowo parties, specifically the accounts of Gerindra and Prabowo.  In analyzing the data, the NVivo 14 Plus application is used to explore the various relationships and networks within the version.  The data analysis process in this research begins with the data input stage, which retrieves data from Twitter using the NCapture feature in NVivo. This stage encompasses data collected from the start of the active account, followed by coding, exploration, data visualization, data presentation, and conclusion.  The study reveals that the Gerindra Party utilizes Twitter strategically for political communication and digital branding, thereby shaping its public image and fostering voter loyalty. It finds that product-oriented and ideological campaigns, including social-issue messages and the “Gemoy” candidate branding, are more dominant than purely candidate-focused content. It also reveals that, despite a large follower base, engagement remains moderate and is driven more by Prabowo Subianto’s personal appeal than by institutional messaging.

Abstract

Traffic congestion remains a major issue in DKI Jakarta, particularly in South Jakarta, which has a high level of mobility and a large volume of private vehicles. The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta has issued Governor Regulation Number 68 of 2021 to restrict private motor vehicles through traffic management measures, the implementation of the odd-even license plate system, traffic engineering, and parking management. However, its implementation has not been fully effective in reducing congestion on strategic road segments. This study analyzes the implementation of the policy and its inhibiting factors using a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis with officials from the South Jakarta Sub-Department of  Transportation as informants. The analysis focuses on policy communication, resource availability, implementers’ attitudes, and bureaucratic structure. The findings indicate that although the policy has been implemented, its effectiveness remains limited due to low public compliance, inadequate supporting facilities, suboptimal inter-agency coordination, and the dominance of private vehicles. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening policy evaluation, ensuring consistent supervision, and aligning vehicle restriction policies with improvements in the quality and attractiveness of public transportation as the main strategy to reduce congestion in South Jakarta.
