Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the relationship between economic growth and poverty levels in North Sumatra during the period 2012 to 2022. The results of the research reveal that during this period, no significant relationship was found between economic growth and poverty levels in the North Sumatra region. Although economic growth is often considered a poverty reduction factor, this research indicates that other factors such as income distribution and social policies have a more dominant influence in determining poverty levels. These results highlight the importance of developing a more holistic policy strategy that includes income redistribution efforts and strengthening social protection as key measures to reduce poverty in North Sumatra. This research provides valuable insights for stakeholders in designing and implementing programs focused on poverty alleviation in the region during the period under study.

Abstract

Islamic religious education is a process of transformation and realization of the values of Islamic teachings through learning, both formal and non-formal to the community (students) to be lived, understood and practiced in everyday life. The method used in this study uses a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that to realize and realize the values of Islamic teachings, strategies or learning models are needed that can be applied by students. One strategy that can be applied is learning in the form of Contextual Learning which is a learning strategy that seeks to connect the material being studied with the context of real life, not only transferring knowledge from teacher to student, but students can do, try and reconstruct the teaching material themselves. from the teacher and correlated in real life and the hope is that students can solve the problems faced both for themselves, their families and the community.

Abstract

Ethics is the main foundation in developing a technology, ethics is also very important in every application of a Muslim's behavior, without good ethics a Muslim is not a Muslim and a human is not a human being. The good personality that humans have indicates that they have good ethics as well. Therefore ethics is very important in the behavior of a Muslim because ethics affect human life in dealing with other social beings. Ethics is also one of the main foundations in developing a technology because ethics and technology are interrelated. Ethics is a positive basic attitude towards the possibility of various discoveries and ideas appearing. While technology is a step in the application of new discoveries in real results that are more modern and sophisticated so that they can encourage people to continue to develop even more advanced technology. This research aims to: 1). Knowing and understanding the characteristics of Islamic ethics in the application of knowledge in the field of technology for UMSU FKIP students; 2). So that UMSU FKIP students know ethics in the application of science in the field of technology; 3). Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai efek pengembalian aset dan margin laba bersih pada pengembalian saham PT Indofood Sukes Makmur TBK dari 2010 hingga 2023. Metode kuantitatif dengan beberapa metode regresi linier digunakan. Data sekunder yang dianalisis berasal dari laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaan.Menurut hasil penelitian, ROA dan NPM berdampak positif dan signifikan pada return stock secara bersamaan dan secara terpisah. Dengan determination coefficient 90,6 persen, sebagian besar variasi dalam return stock dapat disebabkan oleh variabilitas ROA dan NPM. Dengan temuan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa profitabilitas perusahaan memainkan peran yang signifikan dalam menentukan return perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, ini dapat digunakan sebagai acuan bagi investor saat membuat keputusan investasi di pasar modal.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCashew nut shells have not been fully utilized untill recently, and most of them are still in a form of wastes.  Cashew nut shell wastes are organic matter containing macro elements that are useful for plants, such as N (0.84%), P (0.21%), K (0.70%), Ca (0.13%) and Mg (0.24%) that are useful for plants. Cashew nut shell wastes would be very potential if they were composted into organic fertilizers. The aim of this research was to analyze the effect of cashew nut shell compost formula application on growth and nutrient uptake of cashew seedlings. The research was conducted at IPB Teaching Farm Dramaga Bogor from November 2012 to May 2013. The experiment was arranged in randomized complete block design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed, that cashew nut shell compost formula application at 50 g polybag-1 and 100 g  polybag-1 were significantly increased plant height, leaf number, stem diameter, roots length, fresh weight, dry weight of seedling, and N, P, K uptake at 3 months after planting (MAP) compared to no compost (top soil). The treatment of cashew nut shell compost formula at 50 g polybag-1 showed not significantly compared with goat manure at 100 g polybag-1 on the  plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, roots length and N, P, K uptake at 3 MAP. Both  of the  treatment can improve the balance of nutrients in the soil thus enhancing the growth and vigor of cashew seedling. The treatment of cashew nut shell compost formula (50 g polybag-1) could replace the treatment of goat manure (100 g polibag-1) tended to increase cashew seedling growth.Keywords: A. occidentale L., bioactivator, cashew seedling, KBM compost

Abstract

This research analyzes discrimination against Muslims in South Korea, a country known to be advanced in terms of technology and economy. Various factors influence this discrimination, including anti-Islam propaganda, lack of understanding about Islam, and incidents of religious-based terrorism in the world. In the last few years, namely 2018-2023, human rights discrimination against the Muslim community in South Korea has become a public concern. In South Korea, discrimination against Muslims leads to human rights violations and hatred. The complexity of this problem is further strengthened by the interaction of various factors, social changes, and the dynamics of life in South Korea. This research uses a qualitative approach and case studies to understand this phenomenon from the perspective of perpetrators and victims of discrimination, involving local South Korean residents and Muslims living in South Korea. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence from various parties which influences the occurrence of direct and indirect acts of human rights discrimination against Muslims in South Korea, impacting the human rights of Muslims living in South Korea. Keywords : Discrimination, Muslims in South Korea, Human Rights.

Abstract

  Purpose – This article aims to map research by elaborating on cross-religious relationships and social interaction communication for the Muslim community in Mardika Market, Ambon City, Maluku.Method – Blumer's theoretical exploration is used with a constructivist paradigm and phenomenological communication method as fundamental references. This review is developed based on input from mardika market management coordinator and identifies current field research obtained qualitatively through several informal conversational interviews and observations of various gaps in social interactions.Results – The article highlights the complexity of cross-religious social interactions impacting intrapersonal, interpersonal, and group communication for the Muslim community in Mardika Market. It begins with understanding cross-religious social interaction relationships and communication events, then finds patterns of communication relationships within the Muslim community.Implications – This article contributes to realize cross-religious harmonization by discussing the search for the meaning of social interactions with the hope of living together peacefully. Strengthening social interactions is very important as it tends to reduce the incidence of cross-religious conflicts. This contribution offers opportunities for social interaction accommodation and ways to avoid cross-religious tensions.Originality/Value – Many published articles focus on cross-religious relationships by detailing the tensions and benefits of cross-religious social interactions, but they are still lacking. However, this study presents the phenomenological communication method and constructivist paradigm to observe the development of communication within the Muslim community engaging in cross-religious social interactions in Mardika Market, Ambon City, Moluccas.***Tujuan – Artikel ini adalah untuk memetakan penelitian dengan mengelaborasi hubungan lintas agama, dan komunikasi interaksi sosial lintas agama bagi komunitas Muslim di pasar Mardika Kota Ambon, Maluku.Metode – Dengan menggunakan penelusuran teoretis dari Blumer dengan paradigma konstruktivis dan metode fenomenologi komunikasi sebagai acuan mendasar. Tinjauan ini dikembangkan berdasarkan masukan dari koordinator pengelola pasar mardika, dan mengidentifikasi kekinian penelitian di lapangan yang diperoleh secara kualitatif melalui beberapa wawacara percakapan informal, dan pengamatan dari berbagai kesenjangan dalam interaksi sosial.Hasil – Artikel menyoroti betapa kompleksnya interaksi sosial lintas agama berdampak pada komunikasi intrapribadi, antarpribadi, dan kelompok bagi komunitas Muslim di pasar mardika. Diawali dengan pemahaman hubungan interaksi sosial lintas agama, dan peristiwa komunikasi, kemudian menemukan pola hubungan komunikasi komunitas Muslim. Implikasi – Kontribusi artikel ini untuk mewujudkan harmonisasi lintas agama melalui pembahasan pencarian makna interaksi sosial dengan harapan dapat hidup bersama secara damai. Penguatan interaksi sosial sangat penting karena cenderung menurunkan insiden konflik lintas agama. Kontribusi ini menawarkan peluang akomodasi interaksi sosial dan cara untuk menghindari ketegangan lintas agama.Orisinalitas/Nilai – Banyak artikel terpublikasi hingga saat ini terfokus pada hubungan lintas agama dengan menguraikan ketegangan dan manfaat interaksi sosial lintas agama masih kurang. Namun kajian ini menyajikan metode fenomenologi komunikasi dan paradigma konstruktivis untuk mengamati pengembangan komunikasi komunitas Muslim melakukan tindakan interaksi sosial lintas agama di pasar Mardika Kota Ambon, Maluku.

Abstract

Declining productivity in tiger shrimp aquaculture is often associated with unstable environmental quality and suboptimal pond management, making probiotics a promising environmentally friendly approach to improving water conditions, suppressing disease, and supporting shrimp growth. To enhance farmers’ capacity in utilizing probiotics, a community engagement program involving training and hands-on assistance in the preparation of probiotic bacterial cultures was conducted in July 2025 at Mitra Serumpun, Tarakan City. The activities were delivered through lectures, demonstrations, and guided practice that directly involved participants in the fermentation and culture preparation processes. Evaluation results indicated an increase in participants’ knowledge and skills related to probiotic fermentation techniques and their application in shrimp ponds. This program contributed to strengthening farmers’ readiness to optimize pond management and supported efforts to improve aquaculture productivity and local food security.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of student engagement with society that aims to provide tangible contributions in accordance with their academic expertise. This study aims to describe the optimization of KKN students’ roles in strengthening Qur’anic learning at the Rumah Qur’an in Tangkahan Sub-district. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of activities. The findings reveal that KKN students play a strategic role in enhancing the community’s motivation to learn the Qur’an, both among children and adults, through activities such as teaching Qur’anic reading, assisting in tajwid and tahsin, as well as organizing educational competitions that foster enthusiasm for learning. Furthermore, students contribute by introducing more engaging and practical learning methods. The community perceived significant impacts, including increased interest, participation, and comprehension in proper Qur’anic recitation based on tajwid principles. Thus, the presence of KKN students has been proven to optimize the function of the Rumah Qur’an as a non-formal educational center in fostering a Qur’anic generation in Tangkahan

Abstract

Suku Mandailing merupakan salah satu daerah yang berada di Sumatera Utara, suku yang dikenal dengan adat istiadat dan warisan budaya yang kental. Salah satu warisan budaya yang terdapat itu adalah Ulos. Ulos merupakan warisan budaya yang memiliki nilai filosofi tinggi dan estetika dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Jenis ulos sangat banyak ragamnya di Mandailing salah satunya Ulos Godang. Ulos Godang ini sendiri simbol dari kehormatan dan kebesaran bagi masyarakat Mandailing. Ulos Godang di pakai pada saat acara besar seperti pernikahan, kelahiran, dan acara seperti penyambutan tamu besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ragam bentuk motif dan makna warna yang terkandung dalam Ulos Mandailing. dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui pendekatan ednografis, yaitu observasi langsung, wawancara dengan tokoh adat Mandailing, dan literatur yang terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ulos Godang tersebut memiliki ragam bentuk motif seperti boraspati ni tano, gorga sitompi, rante, pinar halindang, dan harungguan. yang masing-masing memiliki ragam bentuk yang berbeda dan memiliki makna yang mendalam. Dapat dilihat dari segi estetikanya, Ulos Godang memiliki stuktur komposisi warna merah, hitam, dan putih dengan harmoni dan pola geometris dan sintesis. yang dapat menggambarkan keseimbangan antara kerohanian/kejiwaan, keberanian, dan kesucian. Dengan demikian dapat di simpulkan bahwa Ulos Godang Mandailing tidak hanya bernilai sebagai karya tekstil saja, akan tetapi sebagai media ekspresi budaya yang mencerminkan kearifan lokal dan identitas masyarakat Mandailing.
