Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop Mystequest learning media that meets the criteria for feasibility, practicality and effectiveness in science and science learning in order to improve student learning outcomes on Metamorphosis of Living Creatures material in class III at SDN No. 62 Kota Timur. This research is a research method (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development research model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, Implement, and Evaluate. Based on validation results from experts and users, Mystequest media obtained an average score of 96.25%, which is considered very suitable for use by teachers and students in elementary schools. To test practicality, researchers used teacher observation sheets, which showed a total score of 47 out of a maximum score of 48, thus reaching an average of 97.91% which is considered very practical. In the aspect of effectiveness, the application of media in class III of SDN No. 62 Kota Timur was measured through pretest and posttest. As a result, the total pretest score was 31.88 which increased to 81.88 in the posttest. The N-Gain calculation shows a score of 0.72, which is in the “medium” category. In conclusion, Mystequest media effectively improves student learning outcomes and is suitable for use in elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop IPEX learning media that meets the criteria of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in science learning to improve student learning outcomes in ecosystem material in grade IV of SDN 6 Kabila. This study is a development research using the ADDIE development research model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility of IPEX media was tested through validation by a team of experts. The validation results showed that this media obtained an average percentage of 95.14%, which was categorized as very feasible for use by teachers and students in elementary schools. To test the practicality, the researcher used the teacher observation sheet, which showed a total score of 39 out of a maximum score of 40, with an average percentage of practicality reaching 97.5%, falling into the very practical category. In terms of effectiveness, the application of media in class IV of SDN 6 Kabila was measured through pretest and posttest. As a result, the average pretest score of 36.5% increased to 83% in the posttest, with a difference in increase of 46.5%. The level of effectiveness of IPEX media based on calculations reached 72.41%, indicating that IPEX media is included in the effective category. Based on these results, IPEX media has proven to be effective in improving student learning outcomes and is suitable for use in learning in elementary schools.

The purpose of this study was to develop ULTRA (Interactive Snakes and Ladders of Science) learning media that meets the criteria of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in science learning to improve student learning outcomes in ecosystem material in grade V of SDN 1 Suwawa. This study is a development research using the ADDIE development research model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility of ULTRA media was tested through validation by a team of experts. The validation results showed that this media obtained an average percentage of 96.87%, which was categorized as very feasible for use by teachers and students in elementary schools. To test practicality, the researcher used a teacher observation sheet, which showed a total score of 39 out of a maximum score of 40, with an average percentage of practicality reaching 97.5%, included in the very practical category. In terms of effectiveness, the application of media in grade V of SDN 1 Suwawa was measured through pretest and posttest. As a result, the average pretest score of 46.5% increased to 86% in the posttest, with a difference in increase of 39.5%. The level of effectiveness of ULTRA media based on calculations reached 73.55%, indicating that ULTRA media is included in the effective category. Based on these results, ULTRA media has proven effective in improving student learning outcomes and is suitable for use in elementary school learning
