Abstract

This research is motivated because students' ability to master mathematical concepts cannot be measured only from student learning outcomes, but in students' thinking processes in solving problems. One way can be analyzed through solving math problems. Because, in solving problems it is impossible for students' minds to be exactly the same as other students because each individual has a different thinking style, these differences can be expressed through cognitive styles. The thinking process indicators used in this study are 1) understanding formation 2) opinion formation 3) decision formation 4) drawing conclusions. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe the thinking process of Field Independent (FI)-Field Dependent (FD) students in solving math problems. This research was conducted in class XII MIPA SMA N 3 Jambi city in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The method used for data collection in this study is the method of tests and interviews. The main instrument in this study was the researcher himself and other instruments, namely the GEFT test, math test question sheets, and interview guidelines. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Students with the FI cognitive style fulfill all stages of the thinking process well in solving math problems and can develop their own structure on different questions. 2) Students with FD cognitive style can only fulfill the stages of opinion formation and decision formation for questions that have been done frequently and have difficulty solving different questions from before. That way, teachers need to adapt learning to students' cognitive styles and need to train students with questions that improve students' thinking processes.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI tataboga di SMK Negeri 4 Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif ex – postfacto, variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah kecerdasan emosional dan hasil belajar adalah variabel terikat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistika inferensial dengan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI tataboga di SMK N 4 Kota Jambi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis uji regresi yang membuktikan bahwa persamaan regresi yang diperoleh Y = 42,869 + 0,492X, dari uji signifikan nilai sebesar 0,0 dimana nilai signifikan < 0,05 ( 0,0 < 0,05 ), maka H0 ditolak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Hal ini disebabkan karena proses pembelajaran yang kurang menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) berbantuan geogebra terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desaian penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII yang terdiri dari 42 siswa, sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling, sehingga diperoleh dua kelas sampel yang diberi perlakuan berbeda. Kelas sampel tersebut adalah kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VII B sebeagai kelas eksperimen. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang terdiri dari empat soal uraian. Dari hasil analisis data yang dilakukan didapat nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen untuk pretest adalah 14,29 dan posttest 44,05 dengan simpangan baku kelas eksperimen pretest adalah 8,26 dan posttest 17,58 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol untuk pretest adalah 12,38 dan posttest 35 dengan simpangan baku kelas kontrol pretest adalah 7 dan posttest 12,45. Serta hasil uji hipotesisnya diperoleh t_hitung=1,82 dan t_tabel=1,68. Berdasarkan hasil akhir dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) berbantuan geogebra berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Serta berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji Cohen’s effect size diperoleh pengaruhnya sebesar 0,562, nilai tersebut termasuk dalam kategori sedang.Kata Kunci:Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif; Creative Problem Solving

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study that uses correlation coefficient analysis which aims todetermine the significant relationship between the role of parents (X) and mathematics learning outcomes (Y). The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Jambi City for the 2020/2021 academic year with a total of 393 students divided into 11 classes. The sample in this study amounted to 99 students divided into 11 classes taken by random sampling (random technique). The research instrument used was a questionnaire and a test of learning outcomes in the form of a description. The results of the descriptive analysis obtained a description of the role of parents of students in general are included in the medium category with a percentage of 65.7%, the lowest score is 70, the highest is 122, the range is 52 and an overview of students' mathematics learning outcomes in general is included in the medium category with a percentage of 65.7%. , the lowest score was 20, the highest score was 93 and the range was 73. From the inferential analysis, there is a significant relationship between the role of parents and students' mathematics learning outcomes during online learning for class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Jambi City. This can be seen from the results of the correlation coefficient test analysis, the value of r = 0.654, which means that the relationship between the role of parents and students' mathematics learning outcomes is in a strong relationship, then an r2 value of 0.427 indicates that the role of parents contributes to learning outcomes. mathematics by 42.7% of the significant test obtained a value of 0.000 where the value of sig <0.05 then H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the role of parents and the mathematics learning outcomes of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Jambi City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan model Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi energi dan usaha, serta menganalisis respon peserta didik terhadap model tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental pre-test post-test control group. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Bluluk yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes, dan angket respon. Data dianalisis dengan uji-t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran PBL mencapai rata-rata 93,2% dengan kategori sangat baik. (2) Analisis uji-t berpasangan, N-Gain, dan effect size menunjukkan model PBL lebih efektif meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. (3) Respon peserta didik terhadap penerapan PBL sangat positif dengan persentase rata-rata di atas 85% untuk semua aspek yang dinilai. Jadi, model PBL terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan mendapat respon sangat baik dari peserta didik pada pembelajaran materi energi dan usaha.

Abstract

The health of students on campus is often threatened by stress and unhealthy living habits, such as poor sleep patterns or lack of physical activity. Students' health is important to their achievement and well-being. By using AI and machine learning algorithms such as Random Forest and Support Vector Machine (SVM), we can analyze health data more quickly and accurately. This helps detect problems early and provide timely assistance. Early identification of students who have the potential to experience health problems, so that timely intervention can be carried out. This research uses quantitative methods by collecting from various sources related to the use of AI and machine learning algorithms in analyzing student health at Medan State University. Data was collected through a survey at Medan State University, covering daily habits such as sleep patterns, physical activity and stress levels. With the results of this analysis, campuses can design health policies that are more effective and appropriate to student needs. It is hoped that this research can contribute to improving the health and well-being of students in the campus environment, as well as preventing more serious health problems in the future.

Abstract

The latest changes regarding the age requirements for regional head candidates in the 2024 Election by the Supreme Court have given rise to various responses from the public. This decision has become an important issue that is widely discussed on social media and mass media, where this decision has caused various reactions, both positive, negative and neutral. Sentiment analysis is important to determine public opinion on this decision. This study aims to analyze public sentiment on the Issue of Cancellation of the Revision of the 2024 Pilkada Law. This study uses the Natural Language Processing (NLP) method with the Naive Bayes algorithm. The data used is text data in the form of public opinion on the Issue of Cancellation of the Revision of the 2024 Pilkada Law collected via Twitter. This data is then processed using NLP techniques such as cleaning, tokenization, normalization, filtering and stemming. After that, public opinion on the Issue of Cancellation of the Revision of the 2024 Pilkada Law is classified into positive, negative and neutral sentiment categories. The results of the study showed that the results of the model performance evaluation using data testing produced an accuracy of 92%, so it can be concluded that this model is good enough for sentiment analysis. Accuracy shows that the model makes correct predictions on 92% of the total data, which is dominated by the neutral class.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas algoritma Support Vector Machine (SVM) dalam menilai sentimen masyarakat terkait kebijakan naturalisasi pemain tim nasional sepak bola Indonesia yang dibicarakan di Twitter. Mengingat meningkatnya perhatian terhadap isu naturalisasi, pemahaman tentang reaksi publik menjadi sangat penting. Data diperoleh melalui teknik crawling dari Twitter, menghasilkan kumpulan data yang mencakup beragam opini dan tanggapan publik. Setelah melakukan praproses data, termasuk penghilangan kata yang tidak penting dan stemming, model SVM diterapkan untuk mengkategorikan sentimen menjadi positif, negatif, atau netral. Kinerja model dievaluasi dengan menggunakan metrik akurasi, presisi, recall, dan F1-score. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa algoritma SVM mampu mencapai tingkat akurasi yang memuaskan dalam analisis sentimen publik, serta memberikan wawasan yang berguna mengenai pandangan masyarakat terhadap naturalisasi timnas Indonesia. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan bantuan kepada pembuat kebijakan dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya dalam memahami dinamika opini publik seputar isu-isu penting dalam dunia olahraga nasional.

Abstract

In spite of using the appropriate learning approaches, there were factors that influenced to the successful in learning, namely intelligence and learning styles. RME approach and learning styles that suitable to students’ characteristics were expected to enhance students’ understanding in solving mathematical problem, which eventually leads on increasing students’ achievement. This research aimed to describe and analyse the process of students' problem solving on the type of visual-based learning RME. This study was qualitative research that used descriptive qualitative method. The research was conducted at class VIII of SMP N 2 Jambi. Subjects consisted of three students who have a visual type learning outcomes of high, medium, and low. The process of solving the problem of the study revealed through observations, interviews and task sheets based on mathematical problem solving. The data were analysed based on indicators of mathematical problem solving by Polya and noted the characteristics of the critical thinking process which included steps: (1) identification of the problem and the relevant information, (2) explored the interpretations and connections, (3) alternative prioritize and communicated the conclusions, and (4) integrated, monitored, and refined strategies for re-handling the problems. The results showed that subject of SVT and SVS could solve the issue properly, the process of solving the second problem showed in step; (1) and (2) the steps to understand the problems, arranged the problem-solving plan, implemented the plan of problem solving, and rechecked the results of problem solving. (3) the steps to understand the problems, arranged and did problem solving plan. (4) Implemented a plan and rechecked the results of problem solving. While SVR could not solve the problems correctly in step (3) and (4) in steps implemented plans and rechecked the results of problem solving. Abstract

Kegiatan komunikasi di dalam suatu organisasi bertujuan untuk membentuk saling pengertian dan menyamakan pengalaman diantara anggota organisasi. Sehingga tujuan dalam penelitian penulis ini ingin mengetahui Bagaimana Peran Komunikasi Organisasi Mahasiswa Pecinta Alam Hiawata Universitas Muhammadiyah Dalam Mengimplementasikan Kode Etik serta Bagaimana Dampak positif dan negatif yang diterima oleh Mahasiswa Pecinta Alam Hiawata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Setelah mendapatkan data yang dibutuhkan, peneliti melanjutkan proses selanjutnya yaitu menganalisis data guna mendapatkan hasil dengan teknik analisis data yaitu dengan tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan yang terakhir yaitu kesimpulan. Data yang diperoleh menjadi valid karena didukung oleh sumber-sumber yang relevan untuk penelitian kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan peran komunikasi organisasi mahasiswa pecinta alam Hiawata Universitas Muhammadiyah dalam mengimplementasikan kode etik menerapkan berbagai jenis komunikasi organisasi, yaitu komunikasi ke bawah yang dilakukan oleh pengurus dalam menyampaikan pesan dan instruksi kepada anggotanya, komunikasi ke atas komunikasi yang disampaikan oleh kepala divisi ataupun anggota kepada pengurus untuk melaporkan mengenai perencanaan maupun hasil kinerja, komunikasi horizontal komunikasi yang dilakukan antar sesama pengurus atau sesama kepala divisi untuk saling berbagi informasi dan bertukar pikiran membuat strategi komunikasi dalam mengimplementasikan kode etik, serta komunikasi lintas saluran dimana semua anggota baik itu yang menjadi pengurus, kepala divisi, anggota biasa ataupun anggota alumni bisa saling berbagi pendapat menganai pesan yang ingin disampaikan baik berupa saran kegiatan, masukan terkait kepentingan organisasi atau hambatan yang sedang di alami.
