Abstract

This research is motivated by the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts Low. One contributing factor is the teacher's teaching style or learning model that is still in use still live where there is a tendency to minimize the involvement of students. While teachers are more active in the learning process. One model that is expected to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts is mind mapping. Mind mapping learning model is the submission of ideas or concepts and problems in learning then discussed in small groups so that gave birth to the various alternatives to solve. This study aims to determine the ability of students understanding of mathematical concepts between that learned to use mind mapping learning model is better than the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts that learned by direct learning model. This study used an experimental method with quasi-experimental design (quasi research method) with a student population of SMP Negeri 3 Tungkal Ulu Academic Year 2015/2016. Sampling using random sampling and sample drawn is a class VIII D as an experimental and VIII C as the control class. From the results of research conducted average scores for the experimental class was 78,15 with a standard deviation of 12,13 and the average value of the control class was 69,23 with a standard deviation of 15,22. As well as from the hypothesis test obtained at 2,655 and 1,675 on the real level of 0,05 . From the calculation it is seen that greater than it received. Based on the final results can be concluded that the ability of students ' understanding of mathematical concepts that learned to use mind mapping learning model is better than the ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts that learned by direct learning model in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Tungkal Ulu. Abstract

The establishment of this Garbage Bank aims to be an educational financing strategy that is accompanied by community awareness of environmental hygiene. In an effort to get direct benefit from garbage, in the form of waste saving which is directed to finance the education of children of Bhakti Idaman village community. So that the immediate benefits felt by the community are not only clean, healthy and comfortable environment but also human resource development which is expected to be able to manage community life well in the future. The method that will be done is 1) To socialize the establishment of BSI through education of household based waste management system, by giving rewards or benefit. 2) Establish a BSI management consisting of environmental activists, environmental cadres and communities and supporting parties (village government etc. 3) Training BSI managers through administrative management education and structural management patterns as well as designing BSI activities and sustainability. 4) Preparing the completeness of BSI which is consumables and administrative completeness. 5) Search for garbage buyers. 6) Promote the establishment of BSI through schools that have established cooperation, village government, activities undertaken by BSI and other ways that are considered strategic. 7) Performing waste saving services that benefitnya given in the form of savings education and financial savings family. 8) Monitoring and evaluation is conducted every two months to monitor progress and evaluate BSI performance. The result of this activity is the establishment of a household-based BSI with the benefits of education savings and family financial savings.Keywords: BSI, Education Savings.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by low students' critical thinking ability. This is caused by the ineffectiveness of learning in the classroom in the learning process with conventional model while the students who receive it more passive and afraid to express the assumption because they think that math is hard to learn. So teachers need to apply a fun learning system and more real in improving the ability to think critically by using Realistic Mathematics Education Approach (RME) to help critical thinking of students to be more critical. This research is an experimental research. The population in this research is all students of class VII SMPN 2 Kota Jambi Academic Year 2017/2018. Sampling using Random Sampling technique, which is taken class VII A and VII D where two classes are given different treatment. This study aims to determine the difference of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to critical thinking skills of the seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Kota Jambi, the subject of the set. Based on Post-test results can be seen that the critical thinking ability of students of class VIIIA (experiment) SMP Negeri 2 Kota Jambi on the set material, the average value is 76.84 with standard deviation 6.96 whereas in class VIIID (Control) average of 72.75 with standard deviation of 11.64. Based on these calculations there is a difference between the experimental class and the control class, this is the influence of the approach of Realistic Mathematics Edication (RME).Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach, Student Critical Thinking Ability

Abstract

Abstract: The ability to think critically is a form of thinking ability that needs to be developed in order to solve problems, formulate conclusions, collect possibilities, and make decisions when using all those skills effectively in the right context and type. The ability to think critically can encourage students to come up with new ideas or thoughts about a problem. Developing students' critical thinking skills can help students make conclusions by considering data and facts that occur in the field. This research is an experimental research with research design using experimental design Posttest Only Control Design. The population in this study is all students of class VIII SMPN 5 Kota Jambi consisting of eleven classes. While the sample is the students of class VIII C as the experimental class and class VIII J as the control class taken by random sampling. From the result of data analysis conducted on two samples obtained the average value of critical thinking ability of experimental class 71,36 with standard deviation 16,17 and mean value of critical thinking skill of class of 63,82 with standard deviation 15,58, and result hypothesis test obtained tcount 2.067 and ttable 1.67 at the level of real α is 0,05. From the calculation result it can be seen that tcount is more than ttable, so H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. Based on the final result, it can be concluded that there is a comparison of students' critical thinking ability taught by using Contextual Teaching and Learning model is higher than the critical thinking ability of students taught by using direct learning model.Keywords: Critical Thinking Skills, Contextual Teaching and Learning Model, and Direct Learning Model

Abstract

This research is a literature study on students' creative thinking skills. This study aims to analyze students' creative thinking skills using a stem-based simulation method regarding single and compound interests of North Rantau High School students. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The type of data used in this study is qualitative data, which is categorized into two types, namely primary data and secondary data. Sources of data obtained through library research techniques (library study) which refers to sources available both online and offline such as: scientific journals, books and news sourced from trusted sources. The results of the study concluded that through the STEM teaching method, students were accustomed to working on questions with many correct answers or many strategies that could be used to solve problems. After being given the final task in the form of problems, the researchers arranged students' creative thinking patterns and analyzed the results of students' creative thinking by emphasizing the creative thinking aspect.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) adakah pengaruh minat belajar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas IX SMPN 6 Kota Jambi, 2) adakah pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas IX SMPN 6 Kota Jambi, 3) adakah pengaruh minat dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas IX SMPN 6 Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, yaitu penelitian yang digunakan untuk meneliti populasi dan sampel tertentu. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMPN 6 Kota Jambi, sedangkan sampel yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling adalah siswa kelas IX SMPN 6 sebanyak 80 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner/angket untuk minat dan motivasi belajar, tes untuk kemampuan literasi matematika. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh minat belajar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,028  0,05 dan  sebesar 2,245, 2) tidak terdapat pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,706  0,05 dan  sebesar -0,378, 3) terdapat pengaruh minat dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,014  0,05 dan  sebesar 4,490. Minat dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh sebanyak 10,4% terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas IX SMPN 6 Kota Jambi sedangkan selebihnya 89,6% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1. Untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif (pengetahuan) siswa kelas VI pada pembelajaran PKn melalui Tipe pembelajaran Pair Checks di UPT SDN SDN 44 Kapau Kec. Lengayang.2. Untuk mendeskripsikanpeningkatan hasil belajar afektif (tanggung jawab) siswa kelas VIpada pembelajaran PKn melalui tipe pembelajaranPair Checks di UPT SDN SDN 44 Kapau Kec. Lengayang.Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan dan satu kali ujian akhir siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIUPT SDN SDN 44 Kapau Kec. Lengayang, yang berjumlah 12 orang. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan peningkatan presentase hasil belajar afektif siswa pada aspek tanggung jawab pada nilai rata-rata siklus I yaitu 67,62 meningkat menjadi85,00 pada siklus II. Hasil kognitif siswa aspek pengetahuan siswa yang tuntas 7 orang dengan presentase 66,66% pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 10 orang siswa yang tuntas dengan presentase 83%pada siklus II. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Tipe Pembelajaran Pair Checksdapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn di kelas VIUPT SDN SDN 44 Kapau Kec. Lengayang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kurikulum Merdeka Belajar yang telah diterapkan di SMA Negeri 1 Balongpanggang sebagai Sekolah Penggerak dan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor pendukung dan hambatan yang dihadapi oleh SMA Negeri 1 Balongpanggang dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dari temuan penelitian dikembangkan secara analisis deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum menggunakan metode snowballing. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa : (1) Guru memiliki keleluasaan dalam memilih perangkat ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa, (2) Implementasi kurikulum merdeka di SMA Negeri 1 Balongpanggang, (3) Asesmen penilaian di SMA Negeri 1 Balongpanggang, (4) Kebijakan merdeka belajar yang diterapkan di SMA Negeri 1 Balongpanggang, (5) Hambatan dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka di SMA Negeri 1 Balongpanggang meliputi : (a) Guru membutuhkan waktu lebih untuk belajar lagi supaya dapat adaptif dengan tuntutan perubahan yang diharapkan, (b) Kurangnya kualitas atau kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh guru dan (c) Guru diminta untuk lebih kreatif dan inovatif dengan memanfaatkan berbagai media dan model pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa, (5) Solusi yang diberikan untuk menyelesaikan hambatan dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka di SMA Negeri 1 Balongpanggang yaitu adanya pengadaan berbagai workshop atau seminar dan membentuk komunitas belajar bagi guru.

Abstract

The location chromatic number for a graph is an extension of the concepts of partition dimension and vertex coloring in a graph. The minimum number of colors required to perform location coloring in graph G is referred to as the location chromatic number of graph G. This research is a literature study that discusses the location chromatic number of the Pizza graph. The approach used to calculate the location-chromatic number of these graphs involves determining upper and lower bounds. The results obtained show that the location chromatic number of the pizza graph is 4 for n = 3 and n for ≥ 4.

Abstract

Dewasa ini perkembangan teknologi semakin pesat. Dimana mengharuskan kita untuk mengikuti perkembangan teknologi tersebut. Salah satu contohnya adalah perkembangan media pembelajaran dari guru untuk siswa. Seorang guru harus memberikan bahan ajar yang mudah dipahami siswa dan menarik. Bahan ajar sangat memengaruhi hasil pembelajaran dari siswa. Semakin berbobot bahan ajar yang dibuat, maka akan menghasilkan kualitas yang baik bagi siswa. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pelatihan terhadap guru mengenai bahan ajar berbasis komputer dengan menggunakan Microsoft Office Power Point 2010. Hal ini diharapkan guru dapat mempraktikkan hasil dari mengikuti pelatihan untuk kesuksesan pendidikan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini telah mampu memberikan manfaat yang sangat besar dan tepat sasaran khalayak bagi siswa di Smart Learning Center Tanjung Morawa. Penggunaan aplikasi Microsoft Office 2010 berupa Microsoft Word dan powerpoint, para siswa dapat dengan mudah mengikuti materi pelatihan yang telah diberikan, terlihat dari efektifitas dan tingkat kesulitan pengenalan aplikasi baru yang tidak terlalu memberatkan bagi para peserta pelatihan. Para siswa sangat tertarik dan antusias dengan diadakannya pelatihan ini, sehingga dapat mengikuti perkembangan dunia Teknologi dan dapat mengembang metode pengajarannya.
