Abstract

Abstract Information technology which is increasingly sophisticated certainly brings a lot of convenience to humans. So that technology is widely applied in various fields. One of them is in the field of education. Both formal and non-formal education requires a computerized system to support academic activities to be more effective and efficient. The purpose of making this system is to overcome the problems that exist in the previous system which was considered inefficient so that a website-based academic information system was created at the Minhajurrosyidin Gresik Islamic boarding school. With the existence of this academic information system it is able to provide facilities for teachers / administrators in processing and storing data in Islamic boarding schools so that they become more effective and efficient. This academic information system covers student data, teacher / teacher data, and student assessment and SMS Gateway. Making information systems using the help of the Laravel framework, using the PHP JavaScript programming language, and CSS in making system interfaces and for storing data used MariaDB software.

Abstract

Social media is a platform for people to sharing their views on certain things or events. One of the things discussed on social media is the Job Creation Law (UU Cipta Kerja). The Job Creation Law is a law that simplifies regulations related to licensing activities in starting a business and investing with the aim of increasing Indonesia's economic growth. Twitter is a social media where many users share their opinions regarding the Job Creation Law. Therefore, Twitter can be a source for analyzing user opinions regarding the Job Creation Law. This research was conducted to analyze the sentiment on tweets (a term for content uploaded to Twitter) regarding the Job Creation Law by classifying tweets into two categories, positive and negative sentiment. The classification process is done by implementing an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) trained by Backpropagation algorithm and term weighting using Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method into Python. There are several stages in this study, there are data scrapping, data labeling, preprocessing, term weighting, training, testing, and performance evaluation. The best performance obtained by the ANN is 95% accuracy, 98% precision, 92.4% recall, and 95.1% f-measure. This value was obtained when the ANN trained with 1500 epochs, 1 hidden layer with 50 hidden nodes, and 0.2 learning rate

Abstract

The many kinds of organizations within Universitas Brawijaya make students as registrants have many options to register as members in it. However, many choices are not supported by system-centric information. Information that is not centralized also makes the target number of registrant members in an organization not achieved. This causes students not to be aware of the various types of organizational recruitment available in the environment and the selection results obtained are not good, because the large number of applicants affects the results of the members obtained (Garaika & Margahana, 2019). In the recruitment process there is also registrant data. Disorganized registrant data in hardfile and softfile form allows errors in its management (Gata, Prabowo & Kusuma, 2017). In addition, the HR department continues to provide notification of information regarding the recruitment process to applicants one by one. This method is a method that is less effective because it takes a lot of time. Therefore, the authors conducted research on the development of a web-based information system that can be used to (1) provide member recruitment information, (2) manage registrant data, (3) notification and confirmation to registrants automatically using SMTP, SMS, and Whatsapp gateways. , (4) obtaining information, and (5) completing registrant data forms during the recruitment process for organizational members. This study uses 2 methods, namely data collection methods and system development. The data collection method is done by literature study, interview, questionnaire, and observation. The system development method uses the waterfall model which starts from needs analysis, design, implementation and testing. Tests carried out using white box and black box on the functions built and all of them are valid. This research produces an information system on the recruitment of organizational members in Universitas Brawijaya which can be useful for both organizations and students in the recruitment process of organizational members.

Abstract

An actual and neutral news is the hope of the public as the recipient of information to the news delivery media. Especially during the General Election in Indonesia, there are still news that are conveyed in a one side or not actual way. This also makes people still view that a lot of news has an element of partiality in providing information. Therefore, this study analyzes news sentiment from various news portals that discuss the 2019 Election in Indonesia. The data in this study were taken from various news portals and each news portal took 20 to 25 news stories, resulting in a large amount of data up to 100 data. This study using the Resilient Distributed Dataset (RDD) from the Spark platform as a data type in classifying news sentiments. The method used to classify the sentiment of a data (in this case is a news text) is the Naive Bayes Classifier method. Naive Bayes method has a good ability in classifying an unstructured big data, and has a simple model. This study uses the Confusion Matrix table as an evaluation table of the results of news sentiment classification, by calculating evaluation values such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F-Measure. Based on the various tests and scenarios that have been carried out, the best evaluation value is generated in the test using K-Fold Cross Validation with a value of K=10. In the 8th fraction (fold), the accuracy value is 100%, precision is 100%, recall is 100%. , and F-Measure of 100%.

Abstract

Face is a part of the human body that is very influential in everyday life. Most humans recognize a person by face. From the uniqueness of the face, there are innovations about automatic presence using faces that are more efficient than manual presence which is prone to manipulation. However, in reality, automatic presence based on facial recognition has a disadvantage of high light intensity, which makes facial images look biased. This problem can be overcome by approaching the YCbCr color space which is able to overcome the high light intensity in the image. The essence of automatic presence is the process of detecting and recognizing human facial images. In this study, only focus on facial recognition with the YCbCr color space feature extraction method and the Principle Component Analysis method. The results from the PCA value will be calculated using the Eucledian Distance to determine the closeness between the training image and the test image. In this test using two scenarios, the first test scenario uses a test image without light that is able to get an accuracy of 84%. The second test scenario uses a test image with a light beam capable of obtaining an accuracy of 52%.
