Abstract

Upper trapezius muscle pain is a common musculoskeletal issue caused by poor ergonomic posture. The kitchen crew at Rampogan Matjan Restaurant in Malang City are at high risk of experiencing this pain due to prolonged static postures without adequate stretching. Dynamic stretching is a physiotherapy intervention that improves flexibility, reduces muscle tension, and decreases pain levels. Health education on dynamic stretching was conducted to enhance kitchen crew members' understanding and awareness of workplace ergonomics and proper stretching techniques. The session included education on the causes of upper trapezius pain and a demonstration of dynamic stretching exercises. Evaluations through pre-test and post-test showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding. Knowledge about the causes of upper trapezius pain increased from 20% to 100%, while knowledge of dynamic stretching rose from 0% to 80%. Additionally, participants reported reduced pain levels after regularly practicing dynamic stretching. These findings indicate that health education on dynamic stretching is effective in increasing workers' awareness of workplace ergonomics and in preventing and reducing upper trapezius pain. Continuous education and the adoption of ergonomic work habits are necessary for long-term benefits.

Abstract

Currently, many students adopt an unhealthy lifestyle characterized by a lack of physical activity. Lack of physical activity can affect lung function, one of which is Forced Vital Capacity (FVC). Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) is the volume of air they can forcefully exhale when a person take a deep breath. An FVC below 80% indicates airway problems, meaning the lungs are not functioning properly. A lower FVC indicates decreased lung function, which can impact physical activity and quality of life. Aerobic exercise can improve lung function. The purpose of this study was to determine how jogging, an aerobic activity, affects FVC. This study is a quasi-experimental study using a one group pretest and posttest design Muhammadiyah Malang Physiotherapy undergraduate students who met the inclusion requirements became the research sample. The sample was measured using a spirometer before and after treatment, and they were given jogging exercises twelve times for four weeks. According to the findings of the Paired t-test, Aerobic Exercise has an effect on FVC (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05). Conclusion: based on the research results, there was an increase in FVC values ??in students after being given aerobic exercise in the form of jogging.

Abstract

A sedentary lifestyle is a habit of spending more time on immobilization activities such as working in front of a computer, driving, watching television or even participating in social interactions only through social media. This lack of physical activity can have an impact on a person's physical fitness such as a decrease in the maximum oxygen volume capacity. (Vo2 max) this decrease is an indicator to assess a person's cardiorespiratory fitness, a sedentary lifestyle has a high risk of various health problems including cardiovascular disease, so it is important to increase physical activity to maintain fitness and increase (Vo2 max). The general objective of this study was to determine the effect of Aerobic Exercise on (Vo2 max) in students. This research method uses a Quasi Experimental approach with a one group pre-test and post-test design for respondents in students who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria, respondents are given jogging exercises 12 times in 1 month and they are measured using the Multistage Fitness Test or Bleep Test to determine (Vo2 max). The results based on the Wilcoxon test show a p-value = 0.001 <0.05 which means there is an influence between variables on (Vo2 max). The conclusion is that there is an increase (Vo2 max) in students after being given aerobic exercise which was given 12 times in 1 month.

Abstract

The period is marked by children who move by standing and high activity. Usually this period is called the golden age where there is a rapid increase in growth and development. The medial longitudinal arch is the largest arch of the foot, normally the longitudinal arc is caused by the pressure of body weight which is divided evenly with the entire sole of the foot. Flat foot is a problem that occurs in the arcus. The impact of children who experience flat feet is pain, balance disorders and walking. Flat foot will cause balance disorders, especially dynamic balance. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the combination of curl towels and core workouts on improving dynamic balance in flat feet in preschool children. This study uses quasi-experimental and uses a pre and post-test design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling as many as 66. Respondents will be given interventions in the form of curl towels and core workouts. The research instrument uses the clarke angle test and beam balance. The kolmogorov-smirnov test is used for normality testing, and the wilcoxon test for hypothesis testing. This study was conducted at Kartika Kindergarten and Bhayangkara Kindergarten.
