Abstract

Pengabdian ini  bertujuan agar warga madrasah dipersiapkan  pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam penyediaan madu. Pelaksanaan  kegiatan  pengabdian  ini  menggunakan  metode  tanya  jawab/pengenalan serta pemberdayaan. Salah satu cara untuk memperoleh informasi dan dapat   mendekatkan   diri   dengan   peserta   pengabdian,   tim   pengabdian   melakukan  tanya  jawab  dengan  peserta  pengabdian  pada waktu  pemaparan  materi. Pengabdian ini dilakukan oleh tim dari Universitas Islam Riau dilaksanakan pada bulan  November 2022 yang bertempat di Madrasah Aliyah Kuala Kampar Kabupaten Pelalawan Riau. Ada 2 jenis kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu pendidikan bentuk penyuluhan dan Pemberdayaan. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan merasakan manfaat dilaksanakan oleh tim pengabdian masyarakat mereka mendapatkan informasi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan berguna untuk diri mereka. Informasi tentang pentingnya pemberdayaan masyarakat, penggunaan teknologi untuk penyediaan madu, prosfek dan tantangan kedepan. Penanaman jiwa entepreneurship ini akan  membantu  mereka ikut berpartisipasi  sebagai  sebagai anggota masyarakat. Oleh karena harapan akan bimbingan dan pelatihan sangat mereka harapkan kembali.

Abstract

Concrete cylinders are extensively utilized as standardized specimens to evaluate the mechanical behavior of structural concrete; however, their inherently low tensile strength makes them highly vulnerable to crack initiation and brittle fracture under splitting tensile loading. Although external confinement using E-glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) laminates has been widely reported to enhance tensile performance, the quantitative relationship between mechanical improvement and surface crack evolution remains insufficiently established. Accordingly, this study aims to: (1) evaluate the splitting tensile strength (STS) of concrete cylinders confined with varying numbers of E-glass laminate layers; (2) quantify surface damage using a digital histogram-based crack area percentage (PCA) method; and (3) analyze the correlation between tensile strength enhancement and crack propagation characteristics. The experimental program was conducted at the Materials and Structural Testing Laboratory, Universitas Medan Area, using cylindrical specimens wrapped with one to four E-glass layers and tested under ASTM C496 splitting tensile procedures. The results demonstrate a progressive increase in STS from 2.48 MPa (control) to 3.88 MPa (four layers), representing a 56.5% improvement, with ANOVA confirming statistical significance (p = 0.003). Digital histogram analysis revealed an increase in PCA from 3.12% to 8.19%, with a strong positive correlation (r = 0.87) between STS and crack distribution. These findings indicate that enhanced confinement promotes distributed cracking and improved energy dissipation rather than brittle localization, thereby establishing a comprehensive mechanical–digital damage assessment framework for FRP-confined concrete systems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis perlindungan hukum nasabah dalam transaksi perbankan syariah dengan studi kasus pada Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) dan Bank NTB Syariah. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah meningkatnya penggunaan layanan perbankan syariah yang menuntut adanya jaminan perlindungan hukum bagi nasabah agar setiap transaksi berjalan sesuai dengan prinsip syariah dan ketentuan hukum yang berlaku. Permasalahan penelitian ini meliputi bagaimana pelaksanaan perlindungan hukum terhadap nasabah dalam transaksi perbankan syariah serta kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapannya pada BSI dan Bank NTB Syariah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi perlindungan hukum serta mengidentifikasi hambatan dalam penerapannya terhadap nasabah perbankan syariah. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan konseptual. Data diperoleh melalui kajian terhadap bahan hukum primer dan sekunder yang berkaitan dengan regulasi perbankan syariah dan perlindungan nasabah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlindungan hukum nasabah telah diatur dengan mengedepankan prinsip keadilan, transparansi, dan kepatuhan terhadap syariah, namun dalam praktiknya belum berjalan optimal, terutama dalam hal pemahaman nasabah dan mekanisme penyelesaian sengketa. Penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya penguatan implementasi perlindungan hukum serta peningkatan literasi dan pengawasan agar tercapai kepastian hukum dan perlindungan nasabah secara maksimal

Abstract

The economic structure of Aceh Province is still dominated by the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors, while the contribution of the manufacturing industry sector is relatively lagging. This condition indicates that the structural transformation process in Aceh has not yet taken place optimally, so that the economic growth that occurs tends to be quantitative, marked by an increase in aggregate output, but does not fully reflect an increase in the quality of the economic structure. This study aims to analyze the influence of the agriculture, manufacturing industry, and mining sectors on the growth of the Regional Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Aceh Province. The approach used is quantitative with secondary data sources from the BPS of Aceh Province. This study uses panel data which is a combination of cross-regional data and time series data from 2019 to 2023. The results of the study indicate, first; the agricultural sector has a positive effect on GRDP. This is based on the probability value of the agricultural sector variable, which is 0.002. This value is smaller than 0.05. Second; the industrial sector has no effect on GRDP. This is based on the probability value of the industrial sector variable, which is 0.610. This value is greater than 0.05. Third; the mining sector has a positive effect on GRDP. This is based on the probability value of the mining sector variable, which is 0.001. Fourth; The agricultural, industrial and mining sectors have a joint influence on the dependent variable, namely GRDP in Aceh Province

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, financial technology (fintech), and financial inclusion on the sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with business performance as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was applied in this research, where primary data were collected through the distribution of structured questionnaires to MSME owners in Medan City, selected using a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares-Based Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The structural model testing results indicate that financial literacy, fintech, and financial inclusion have positive and significant effects on business performance, and business performance is proven to be the most powerful predictor in determining long-term business sustainability. The mediation analysis also shows that business performance is only partly responsible for the link between financial literacy and financial inclusion and business sustainability. At the same time, business performance completely mediates the effect of fintech on business sustainability. This finding underscores that the adoption of fintech technology does not automatically guarantee the immediate survival of MSMEs; rather, it must first be translated into operational efficiency and increased daily business profitability. The primary recommendation for fostering a resilient and sustainable MSME sector is to strengthen internal financial management capacity and expand access to the digital financial ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to identify challenges in the moral development of adolescents at GMS Medan, such as the lack of active parental involvement in supporting their children's spiritual growth, the absence of routine and structured communication between youth ministry leaders and parents, and the fact that social dynamics outside the church often exert a stronger influence on behavior than the guidance received within the church. A qualitative, descriptive research approach was employed. The study subjects included the GMS Medan pastor, youth ministry leaders and mentors, Sunday School teachers, parents, and GMS Medan adolescents. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that collaboration among the church community, Sunday School teachers, and parents regarding adolescent moral development at GMS Medan is implemented through regular coordination meetings involving pastors, ministry leaders, and mentors; parenting seminars; communication via WhatsApp groups; periodic ministry evaluations; and adolescent mentoring through "Connect Groups." Furthermore, the roles of the respective parties in this process are as follows: the pastor acts as a spiritual leader providing direction, teaching the Word of God, and overseeing the implementation of development programs; church leaders support the provision of facilities, policies, and funding, as well as the evaluation of ministry programs; Sunday School teachers lay the foundations of moral and character education from an early age; Connect Group leaders and youth mentors serve as mentors who accompany, guide, and model behavior for adolescents in their daily lives; and parents act as primary educators within the family, reinforcing the moral values taught by the church. Factors supporting and hindering this collaborative effort include the availability of development programs tailored to adolescent needs, close relationships between mentors and adolescents, parental support, and the commitment of ministry workers to their duties. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors identified include the influence of social media and digital technology advancements, promiscuity, the academic and work-related busyness of teenagers, a lack of commitment among some youth toward ministry activities, a shortage of available mentors, and shifts in the mindset and culture of the younger generation. Nevertheless, GMS Medan continues to strive to overcome these obstacles through an approach that is adaptive, innovative, and grounded in Christian values.
