Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to explore a startegi in the form of the implementation of organic waste management to create sustainable skills and mindsets. The method used in this study is the weak method of experimentation. Instruments used in research in the form of instruments about 15 questions are tested before and after learning. The sample used in this study as many as 32 students in one of the junior high schools in Pandeglang. The results showed an increase between the pretest and postest student results with a significance level of 0.00 which showed that there was an influence between sustainable development education integrated organic waste management and improved sustainability literacy. While the acquisition of N-Gain score of 46.87% with low category, 46.87% medium category and 6.25% in the high category. N-Gain scores show less than optimal results, because some students get low N-Gain grades. Thus, this research can be concluded to be able to increase the sustainability literacy of students with low categories. Therefore, it needs to be re-studied for further research. The results of this study are also useful for anyone who wants to learn about sustainable lifestyles, especially in organic waste management.Keywords: science learning, sustainable development education, sustainability literacy. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v22i2.pp262-269

Abstract

Termodinamika adalah cabang ilmu fisika yang mempelajari perubahan energi, panas, dan kerja dalam suatu sistem. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan, dimana yang dikembangkan adalah modul ajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan model 3D+1I (Defining, Designing, Developing, and Implementation). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan sangat valid dengan rata-rata penilaian sebesar 85% dan praktis untuk digunakan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian awal yang dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations, it was found that some teachers were still not proficient in compiling application-based learning tools for online learning. Some teachers are also still not familiar with various types of practical applications that can be used in learning, including the use of the wizer.me application. The wizer.me application is an interactive and interesting online LKS creation site. The ability to create interactive IT-based media is very important for teachers, especially during the current pandemic. The purpose of this training is to improve the ability of teachers to develop interactive learning tools based on wizer.me and implement them in learning in their respective classes. The method used in the implementation of this training is a descriptive method. The steps taken in the implementation of this training include (1) socialization, (2) initial observations (in the form of open interviews), (3) implementation (interactive media creation training seminars), (4) checking learning tools and simulations (samples). resource modeling, (5) Final evaluation. The results of this study indicate an increase in the ability of teachers to develop interactive learning tools based on wizer.me and implement them in classroom learning.

Abstract

This research examines research trends in applying argumentation-driven inquiry (ADI) in science learning and its potential for future research. A literature review is used in this research method through bibliometric analysis. The data source was obtained from the Scopus database, which obtained 72 articles from 549 articles in 2009-2023 with the keyword "Argumentative Driven Inquiry." The results show that publications fluctuate every year, with some years seeing a significant increase in publications, while others show a decline. Articles on this topic mostly come from international journals indexed by Scopus with quartile 1. This is in line with sources that publish many articles on this topic. Similarly, the top authors based on publications also come from international journals indexed by Scopus with quartile 1. The US and Indonesia are the most productive countries on this topic. The visualization results are divided into 6 clusters. It can find specific keywords that have the potential to be further researched in the future.

Abstract

A texture analyzer is a standard device to measure food texture properties. This study aims to develop a mini compression test machine prototype that can function as a texture analyzer with simple operation and portability. The components and materials were chosen based on: low cost, manufacturability, and availability in the local Indonesian market. The prototype dimension was 375 × 215 × 450 mm, and used a linear ball screw slider for the translation movement with a 200 mm effective sliding distance. For obtaining the compression load, a 10 kg load cell was used, and it was replaceable by a load cell with a lower capacity if a higher measurement accuracy was required. After calibration, the linear vertical displacement and load cell had ±0.1 mm and ±1 g of accuracy, respectively. The prototype was tested to measure the texture properties of potato chops. As a result, the machine could successfully measure the load and displacement data and detect a crack phenomenon, verifying its usability as a food texture analyzer.

Abstract

Literasi menjadi elemen penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup individu, meliputi kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan berpikir kritis. Namun, minat membaca di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah khsusunya anak-anak di Desa Pamulihan. Permasalahan yang ditemukan, anak-anak di Desa Pamulihan lebih tertarik menggunakan ponsel daripada membaca, dan pemahaman pentingnya literasi di kalangan orang tua juga masih minim. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca anak-anak melalui metode mendongeng yang melibatkan orang tua. Kegiatan ini meliputi penyuluhan tentang pentingnya literasi, cara mendongeng, kiat-kiat dalam mendongeng yang menarik, dan praktik mendongeng yang sesuai dengan teori Agustin dkk, yaitu dengan menggunakan teknik pre-reading, tanpa memperpendek atau memanjangkan teks buku. Selama tiga hari, kegiatan dilakukan melalui penjelasan teori, praktik mendongeng, serta evaluasi di hari terakhir. Mahasiswa juga turut membimbing anak-anak dalam kegiatan literasi membaca dan menulis melalui pendekatan yang menyenangkan seperti permainan dan tebak-tebakan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan 100% peserta telah memahami pentingnya literasi dan cara mendongeng, 80% peserta sudah merasa percaya diri dalam mendongeng, sisanya masih merasa malu. Kemudian 80% peserta telah mampu menerapkan intonasi, ekspresi, dan gesture dalam mendongeng, sisanya masih merasa canggung. Selanjutnya, 100% para peserta sudah mulai mencoba mendongeng di rumah bersama dengan anak-anak mereka dan hal ini berdampak pada berkurangnya intensitas anak-anak untuk bermain ponsel. Ketika kegiatan telah berakhir, pendampingan tetap dilakukan selama satu bulan untuk memantau kebiasaan berliterasi dan mendongeng di rumah. Selain untuk meningkatkan minat berliterasi, kegiatan ini juga berkontribusi pada pembentukan budaya membaca yang lebih baik, dan mendukung program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM)

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMP/MTs di wilayah Cirebon dalam memahami literasi matematika berbasis PISA dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran inovatif berbasis Role Playing Game (RPG). Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah rendahnya capaian literasi matematika siswa Indonesia serta keterbatasan guru dalam memanfaatkan media digital kontekstual yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi lima tahap, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan konseptual, workshop teknis pengembangan game RPG menggunakan RPG-MV Maker, pendampingan implementasi di kelas, dan evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Kegiatan diikuti oleh lima guru dari lima sekolah mitra. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap literasi matematika (dari skor rata-rata 70 menjadi 90) dan keterampilan teknis pengembangan RPG (dari 50 menjadi 75). Guru mampu menerapkan game edukasi dan modul pembelajaran berbasis konteks lokal. Respon siswa terhadap media RPG positif, ditunjukkan oleh meningkatnya motivasi dan partisipasi belajar. Kegiatan ini berdampak pada peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik dan keterampilan digital guru, sekaligus mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di wilayah Cirebon.

Abstract

Migrant workers often face challenges in maintaining a healthy quality of life due to various factors, including unsupportive work environments, lack of access to healthcare facilities, and unhealthy lifestyles. In addition, the increase in carbon emissions related to human activities has become a global issue that requires serious attention. Combining efforts to improve quality of life with steps to reduce carbon emissions can help achieve the SDGs, namely good health and well-being, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, and climate action. This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to: (1) improve healthy living quality through education and implementation of healthy lifestyles, (2) raise awareness about the importance of maintaining health and the environment simultaneously, and (3) reduce the carbon footprint by promoting low-carbon lifestyles. The method used is an integrated approach that involves four stages: (1) education and training through seminars and workshops, (2) facilitating access to healthcare facilities, (3) campaigns and mentoring to encourage lifestyle changes, and (4) evaluation and monitoring to measure the program's impact. The results of this program show that migrant workers have high awareness in adopting healthy and low-carbon lifestyles, although improvements are still needed in some areas such as recycling and the selection of low-carbon products. In conclusion, this program can make a real contribution to improving the quality of life of migrant workers while reducing negative environmental impacts. Recommendations for future programs include strengthening recycling campaigns and increasing awareness of low-carbon product consumption.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Microteaching course program in the Physics Education Study Program using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model and to analyze the role of digital technology in enhancing prospective teachers’ teaching readiness. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, analysis of the course syllabus (RPS), and video documentation of Microteaching practices. Participants consisted of 19 seventh-semester students, one course instructor, and the Head of the Study Program. The Context evaluation showed that all components of the course syllabus were available and that there was a 100% alignment among Program Learning Outcomes (CPL), Course Learning Outcomes (CPMK), and course content. Regarding Input, students demonstrated good academic prerequisites, as indicated by 90% of them obtaining an A in the Physics Lesson Planning course; however, only 21.1% owned relevant textbooks, and facilities such as a dedicated Microteaching room and documentation equipment still require improvement. The Process evaluation revealed that 100% of students used technology in their Microteaching practices, particularly through presentation media, virtual simulations, and instructional videos, and some of them utilized artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support lesson planning. The Product evaluation indicated that most students achieved high final grades in the Microteaching course and reported positive perceptions of its contribution to their teaching readiness. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening students’ digital literacy, providing adequate facilities specifically designed for Microteaching, and systematically training teaching skills that integrate digital technology in order to further optimize the quality of the Microteaching course.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya keterampilan berpikir sistem dalam memahami konsep listrik dinamis yang bersifat kompleks dan saling terhubung, sementara kemampuan tersebut belum berkembang secara optimal pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil keterampilan berpikir sistem mahasiswa pada materi listrik dinamis yang dilaksanakan di beberapa perguruan tinggi di Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal pilihan ganda beralasan yang mengukur tujuh indikator keterampilan berpikir sistem, yaitu mengeksplorasi berbagai perspektif, mempertimbangkan masalah, mengenali sistem, mempertahankan batas sistem, membedakan dan mengukur elemen, mengidentifikasi hubungan, serta mencirikan hubungan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 73% mahasiswa berada pada kategori rendah, 17% pada kategori sedang, dan tidak terdapat mahasiswa yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Capaian mahasiswa lebih dominan pada indikator mengenali sistem, sedangkan kemampuan pada indikator yang berkaitan dengan hubungan dan batas sistem masih relatif rendah. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir sistem mahasiswa masih dominan rendah. Selanjutnya perlu penelitian lanjutan terkait pengembangan bahan ajar dan strategi pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada keterampilan berpikir sistem sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa. Selain itu, studi lanjutan juga perlu mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perkembangan keterampilan tersebut pada berbagai konteks pembelajaran.
