Abstract

Environmental education (EE) plays an important role in instilling environmental awareness character and behavior in students from an early age. This study aims to determine the environmental literacy profile of students at SMA N 1 Gemuh Kendal. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted on 202 grade X students, including ecological knowledge, cognitive skills, awareness of the environment, and environmentally responsible behavior. The data collection was conducted using the Middle School Environmental Litercy Survey (MSELS). The research data were collected through Google Forms and analyzed descriptively based on the achievement score criteria. The results showed that the environmental literacy score was 48.76 in the moderate category. Indicators of ecological knowledge 45.60 (fair), cognitive skills 22.77 (poor), environmental awareness 62.23 (good), and environmentally responsible behavior 64.45 (good). Efforts need to be made so that environmental literacy at SMA N 1 Gemuh reaches an excellent category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran dan keefektifan penggunan media pembelajaran flip chart untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV di SDN Pedurungan Kidul 01. jenis penelitian ini yaitu pre experimental designs dengan bentuk penelitian one grup pretest posttest design. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan soal pretest posttest, dan dilengkapi data dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa media pembelajaran flip chart efektif untuk digunakan. Hal ini sesuai dengan nilai rata-rata N-gain keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa pada materi kerajaan bercorak Hindhu dan Buddha diperoleh sebesar 0,8026 berada dalam kategori tinggi yaitu nilai N-gain g > 0,7. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media flip chard dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pembelajaran menulis masih banyak disampaikan secara teori tanpa praktik berulang sehingga siswa kesulitan menuangkan ide dalam bentuk tulisan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar menulis peserta didik dengan menerapkan metode Drill and Practice. Latihan-latihan ini dirancang untuk membekali siswa dengan kemampuan menulis yang lebih baik, mulai dari struktur kalimat hingga penyampaian ide yang efektif meliputi latihan struktur, latihan kosakata dan kalimat latihan menulis dan latihan presentasi.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).  Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Secara garis besar, terdapat empat tahap utama dalam PTK ini, yaitu perencanaan atau planning, pengamatan atau observing, tindakan atau acting, dan refleksi atau reflecting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Drill and Practice pada materi menulis naskah pidato dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik dari kondisi pra siklus, siklus 1, dan siklus 2. Pada aspek kognitif, peningkatan dari pra siklus ke siklus 1 adalah sebesar 0,86%, dan dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2 adalah sebesar 1,69%. Kemudian pada aspek afektif peningkatan dari pra siklus ke siklus 1 adalah sebesar 0,22%, dan dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2 sebesar 0,36%. Selanjutnya pada aspek psikomotorik dari pra siklus ke siklus 1 mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,11%, dan dari siklus 1 ke siklus 2 sebesar 0,65%.

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas, guru sering kali merasa kesulitan dalam menyampaikan pembelajaran yang cocok bagi siswa. Sehingga siswa memperoleh hasil belajar yang kurang maksimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis gaya belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran berdiferensiasi siswa kelas IV SDN Pedurungan Tengah 01. Metode penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dari hasil angket, wawancara dan observasi saat kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan gaya belajar siswa siswa kelas IV SDN Pedurungan Tengah 01 berupa visual 34%, auditori 33%, dan kinestetik 33% . Hal tersebut berarti sebagian banyak siswa dapat mudah memahami suatu pembahasan dengan cara membaca. Melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, siswa akan memperoleh kegiatan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan gaya belajarnya.

Abstract

Abstract: Reading literacy is a critical aspect of supporting the student learning process. Therefore, this study evaluated students' reading literacy skills through the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) approach at SD Supriyadi 02 Semarang. The study's objectives are: (1) To describe the level of reading literacy of second-grade students using the TaRL approach, and (2) To identify several factors supporting inhibit-ing students' reading literacy through the TaRL approach second-grade. This study uses qualitative and descriptive research methods data collection techniques through interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation. Data validity is carried out by triangulation of sources and techniques and data analysis techniques using data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Based on the study's results, it concluded that the level of reading literacy ability of grade II students SD Supriyadi 02 varied. There are no students at the beginner letter level; at the word level, there are 4 students, 10 students at the sentence level, 9 students at the paragraph level, and 7 students at the story level. The results of student ability tests are in the excellent category, as seen by the ability level achieved by the student. So, with students' reading literacy skills through the TaRL approach, they can minimize their low reading literacy with regular reading activities.Keywords: Reading Literacy; TaRL Abstrak: Literasi membaca adalah aspek penting dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan literasi membaca siswa melalui pendekatan Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) di SD Supriyadi 02 Semarang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mendeskripsikan tingkat kemampuan literasi membaca siswa kelas dua menggunakan pendekatan TaRL, dan (2) Mengidentifikasi beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat literasi membaca siswa melalui pendekatan TaRL di kelas dua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif . Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi non partisipan, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik, serta teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan literasi baca siswa kelas II SD Supriyadi 02  bervariasi. Tidak terdapat siswa pada level pemula dan huruf, level kata terdapat 4 siswa, 10 siswa pada level kalimat,  dan 9 siswa pada level paragraf, serta 7 siswa pada level cerita. Hasil kemampuan tes siswa masuk dalam kategori baik dilihat dengan ting-kat kemampuan level yang dicapai oleh siswa. Sehingga dengan kemampuan literasi membaca siswa melalui pendekatan TaRL dapat meminimalisir rendahnya literasi membaca siswa dengan kegiatan membaca yang dilakukan secara rutin.Kata kunci: literasi membaca; TaRL

Abstract

The availability of initial instruments in the independent curriculum in elementary schools is still rare. The purpose of this study is to develop Stem -based elementary science questions in student ecosystem phase C, in terms of finding out the characteristics and quality of STEM -based elementary science questions. This research is a research and development with the ADDIE model. The object of this research is class V and VI students with a total of 136 students with 63 male students and 73 female students, through a comfortable sampling. Instrument validation uses the analysis of the Index Aiken and Rasch models. Data collection methods through observation and questionnaires. Data analysis is carried out with expert validation and empirical validation. The results of expert validation the item developed meets valid criteria with a range of 0.78 s.d. 0.82 which shows high levels. The results of the Rasch model analysis show that all items developed have high reliability with Alpha Cronbach 0.70 (high). The problem developed also meets the conformity criteria with the rasch model that is seen in the results of MNSQ clothing in the analysis of orders that are not in accordance with the range of +0.67 s.d. +1,26. The results of the reliability item 0.69 while the people who are reliby are 0.27. Overall it proves that the stem -based elementary science instrument on the student ecosystem of phase C is developing quality.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy needs to be developed since elementary school. This is important to ensure that the next generation is ready to solve problems in all aspects of life. However, in reality, students' literacy skills are not as expected. Based on the results of interviews with class II teachers of SDN Karangrejo 02 Semarang, many students were found to have difficulties in the learning process, especially mathematics in the material of fractions in the form of story problems. The purpose of this study was to analyze the ability of numeracy literacy in solving story problems through the PACAPI media of class II SDN Karanggrejo 02 Semarang. The method used in this study used a qualitative descriptive method. In its implementation, it used observation, test, and interview guidelines. The research sample was all 17 class II students. The results of this study indicate that teachers are advised to train students more often by giving questions that lead to numeracy literacy skills and increasing the level of math problems that will be given to students. The instillation of the concept of fractional arithmetic operations also needs to be emphasized again to students so that students can solve math problems correctly.

Abstract

Education is a conscious effort in creating a learning environment and a pleasant process so that students actively develop their potential. Differentiated learning is one of the strategies that teachers can use to meet the needs of each student. Mathematics learning activities for some students are scary lessons, because they are not in accordance with their wishes. One way to make students active in learning Mathematics is to have a problem-solving-based learning model, so that learning is not only centered on teachers and students can solve problems related to mathematics. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of differentiated learning with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in Mathematics learning in grade V SDN Pandeanlamper 04 on measuring and comparing angles. The subjects of this study are 26 students. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data were obtained from classroom observations during learning and documentation results. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that teachers used differentiated content and processes in the implementation of differentiated learning. The grouping of students based on learning styles is visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The application of the PBL model is used so that students can solve problems related to mathematical problems, especially in the material of measuring and comparing angles.

Abstract

The science literacy in Indonesia is still far below the OECD average, reflecting the challenges of the national education system. The Independent Curriculum highlights the importance of science literacy but faces limited implementation at the local level, including Purbalingga Regency. The activity method used in this community service is Participatory Action Research (PAR).  This community service activity was conducted between February and May 2024 and aimed at improving the science literacy of junior high school science teachers in Purbalingga Regency. It was carried out offline and online webinars with a participatory andragogy approach. The number of participants in the offline session was 116, while 165 people attended the online session. The activities at the online meeting focused on Science learning and literacy-based assessment for junior high school science teachers in Purbalingga Regency, while the online activity focused on Differentiated and science-based science learning for science teachers. The initial analysis identified problems in science learning that were overcome with intensive training and assistance based on science literacy. This community service can significantly improve participants' understanding, with the post-test score of the seminar on February 17, 2024, reaching an average of 88.46, and the webinar on May 11, 2024, recording 86.54. The evaluation showed effective support for the Independent Curriculum with the integration of science literacy in science learning. This community service not only improves the science literacy of science teachers in Purbalingga but also supports the vision of inclusive education and the development of HOTS. Sustainable implementation is expected to help prepare a competent generation for a better future.

Abstract

Implementing life-long learning is vital to help students face rapid global development. Life-long learning is a principle in organizing education and a primary need for everyone to adapt to changing times. This study aims to analyze the application level of lifelong learning among SMP Negeri 1 Pucakwangi students, especially class VII students. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a sample of 28 students. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing five life-long learning indicators: complex thinking, information processing, effective communication, collaboration/cooperation, and habits of mind. The results showed that overall, the level of life-long learning application of students at SMP Negeri 1 Pucakwangi was still in the poor category, with an average score of 2.8 out of a 4.0 scale. Students obtained a high score (3.0) in the complex thinking indicator. In contrast, in other indicators, such as information processing (2.7), effective communication (2.6), collaboration/cooperation (2.8), and habits of mind (3.1), the scores obtained were still relatively low. The three indicators that obtained low scores, namely information processing, effective communication, and collaboration/cooperation, indicate that students still need further development in these skills. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that although some indicators show good results, there are also indicators that need to be improved to optimize the implementation of lifelong learning. Therefore, there is a need for further efforts in improving students' skills, especially in terms of information processing, effective communication, and collaboration, so that they can be better prepared to face the growing global challenges.
