Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the critical thinking skills of 7th-grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Bandarlampung (Public Senior High School 34 Bandarlampung). This quasi-experiment involved 2 groups of students, totaling 28 students for the Experimental class and 26 students for the Control class. Data collection was obtained by using an essay test instrument which was presented in the pretest and posttest. Based on the research results, it is known that the posttest results of the experimental class are 78.82, and the results of the control class are 74.07. The data were then analyzed by independent sample t-test and obtained tcount (2.213) greater than ttable (2.007). The effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model was tested with the effect size test, the results showed a number of 0.2 with a low category. So, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model has an effect on increasing students’ critical thinking skills but with low effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of using the reciprocal teaching learning model on the higher order thinking skills and science process skills of students. The research method used is a Quasi Experiment. Based on the results of the research calculated by the independent sample t-test from the post-test results of the control class of 66.97 and the experimental class of 77.71, it was obtained tcountmore than ttable (10.167 more than  1.996) and the percentage of observation results from the control class average of 73 and the mean The experimental class average is 76, so that the tcount value is greater than the ttable ((3.656 more than 1.996). Then the effectiveness of the reciprocal teaching model is known through the effect size test and the value of d = 0.5 is obtained. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the reciprocal model This teaching is effective in improving higher order thinking skills and science process skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create physics worksheets on Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Integrated with Bilingual Learning. The method employed was research and development. This research was carried out at MA Diniyah Putri and SMA Global Surya. Non-test instruments in the form of questionnaires and test instruments in the form of questions were used to collect data. The results of the validation of material experts obtained a score of 4.22 with very feasible criteria, and media experts obtained a score of 4.32 with very feasible criteria. The results of the trial in the limited group obtained a score of 3.77 with high criteria and in the field trial a score of 4.45 with excellent criteria. The increase in students' HOTS abilities can be seen after using the worksheet. Therefore HOTS-based physics worksheet integrated with bilingual class learning is feasible to use. It is suggested to further researchers to develop worksheets on different learning materials.

Abstract

This research aims to see the effectiveness of physics worksheets on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in bilingual classes in Bandar Lampung. The research method employed was quasi-experimental with a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. This research involved three schools, with each school having an experimental class and a control class. The independent sample t-test was performed to determine the differences in the average HOTS results of students in each class at each school. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a difference in the average HOTS of students between those who used the integrated physics worksheets in bilingual classes and the worksheets found in schools. The differences in the increased HOTS indicated that the physics worksheets in bilingual classes were effectively used.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di SMP masih menghadapi kendala. Khususnya pada materi IPA yang abstrak, seperti getaran dan gelombang. Bahan ajar yang diterapkan umumnya bersifat konvensional, kurang mengaitkan konsep dengan budaya lokal, dan minim memanfaatkan teknologi interaktif. Kondisi ini mengurangi keterlibatan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Untuk menjawab kebutuhan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan e-modul fisika interaktif berbasis etnosains budaya Lampung dengan mengintegrasikan alat musik tradisional gambus lunik, serdam, dan talo balak. Metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) model 4D yang dibatasi hingga tahap Develop. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung, sampel uji coba kelompok kecil berjumlah 30 dan uji coba kelompok besar 95 peserta didik, serta melibatkan guru IPA sebagai responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar validasi ahli materi dan media, angket respon guru dan peserta didik. Instrumen di validasi menggunakan skala Likert 5 poin. Teknik analisis data dengan menghitung persentase skor untuk menentukan kategori kelayakan dan kemenarikan produk. Hasil validasi menunjukkan kelayakan materi 91% dan media 85% (kategori sangat layak). Uji coba lapangan menghasilkan respon positif dari guru (97%) dan peserta didik (91%). Penelitian ini menunjukkan, e-modul yang dirancang tidak hanya valid dan menarik, tapi dapat menjadi alternative efektif dalam pengembangan bahan ajar IPA yang interaktif, kontekstual, dan sarat nilai budaya. Penelitian ini juga berpeluang bagi pengembangan lebih lanjut untuk topik fisika lain maupun budaya daerah lain sebagai inovasi pembelajaran IPA di era Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of students’ conceptual understanding, which is caused by the use of inappropriate learning models. This has led to students having difficulty understanding science concepts contextually in everyday life. To address this issue, the researcher implemented the CORE learning model (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) to improve students’ conceptual understanding. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model on the conceptual understanding of IPAS (Social, Science, and Environmental Studies) among fifth-grade students at MIS MMA 4 Sukabumi, Bandar Lampung. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The population consists of all fifth-grade students, totaling 55 students divided into two classes. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling, with class 5A as the experimental group (26 students) and class 5B as the control group (29 students). The instrument used was a multiple-choice test of learning outcomes, which had been validated and tested for reliability. Data analysis was conducted using the Independent Samples t-Test to test the hypothesis. The test results showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.004, which is less than the significance level of 0.05. This indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model has a significant effect on improving students’ conceptual understanding.

Abstract

National educational progress relies heavily on innovative teaching methods, particularly in physics learning. This study focuses on the development and feasibility assessment of an interactive electronic student e-worksheet based on a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach and integrated with the Phyphox application as a virtual laboratory tool to support students' collaborative skills in physics le arning. Employing the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), the research was conducted up to the Develop stage, emphasizing product feasibility testing. Validation was carried out by subject matter and media experts, while practicality testing involved two teachers and 42 students from a public senior high school in Bandar Lampung. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and Likert-scale questionnaires. The e-worksheet achieved high feasibility scores, 88.7% for media quality and 93.3% for content. Practicality assessments from teachers and students ranged from 93.0% to 95.2%, indicating excellent usability. The findings demonstrate that integrating Phyphox into the e-worksheet is both highly feasible and perceived as practical; however, future studies should examine its effectiveness in enhancing collaboration and learning outcomes. This research contributes to advancing technology-based interactive learning media with the potential to improve educational quality. Further investigations are recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of this tool across different academic levels and physics topics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang tepat. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan peserta didik kesulitan memahami konsep-konsep sains secara kontekstual dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, peneliti menerapkan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E yang dipadukan dengan media Spinning Wheels guna meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E berbantuan media Spinning Wheels terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik di MIS MMA 4 Sukabumi, Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V yang terdiri dari dua kelas dengan total 54 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling, dengan kelas 5A sebagai kelas eksperimen (26 peserta didik) dan kelas 5B sebagai kelas kontrol (28 peserta didik). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk soal pilihan ganda yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Independent Samples t-Test untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari penggunaan model Learning Cycle 7E dengan media Spinning Wheels terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Anak tunarungu adalah anak yang memiliki hambatan dalam fungsi pendengaran, yang dapat dibagi menjadi kategori tuli total (deaf) dan gangguan pendengaran sebagian (hard of hearing), dengan begitu tidak dipungkiri bahwa anak tunarungu tentunya memiliki beberapa permasalahan yang dialaminya terutama pada aspek kehidupan pribadi, hubungan sosial, pendidikan, dan pekerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dalam bidang pribadi, sosial, akademik, dan karir pada anak tunarungu, serta memberikan solusi yang dapat mendukung perkembangan mereka. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dari guru pengajar di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) di Medan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak tunarungu menghadapi tantangan besar, termasuk gangguan keseimbangan fisik, keterbatasan komunikasi sosial, kesulitan akademik karena kurangnya akses terhadap bahasa lisan, dan hambatan dalam pengembangan karir, dan solusi yang diusulkan mencakup pengajaran berbasis visual, pelatihan motorik, pembelajaran bahasa isyarat secara inklusif, serta dukungan komunikasi dan keterampilan sosial untuk pengembangan karir. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi antara guru dan orang dalam mendukung setiap bidang perkembangan anak tunarungu.

Abstract

Strategi pengembangan kemampuan pribadi, sosial, dan akademik bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus tunarungu penting untuk dilakukan karena dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam berkomunikasi, berinteraksi sosial, dan berprestasi secara akademik yang pada akhirnya mendukung kemandirian serta partisipasi aktif di lingkungan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan strategi yang efektif dalam mengatasi hambatan komunikasi, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, dan memperkuat keterampilan sosial anak tunarungu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang dilakukan di sekolah inklusif, data diperoleh melalui observasi langsung, wawancara dengan guru dan orang tua, serta analisis dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis visual seperti gambar, video, dan bahasa isyarat mampu meningkatkan pemahaman akademik anak tunarungu sementara partisipasi dalam kegiatan sosial terstruktur seperti kerja kelompok dan permainan edukatif dapat memperbaiki kemampuan interaksi sosial dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri mereka. Kesimpulannya, strategi berbasis komunikasi visual, partisipasi sosial aktif, serta dukungan dari guru, keluarga, dan komunitas terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pribadi, sosial, dan akademik anak tunarungu sehingga mereka dapat beradaptasi dan berkontribusi secara optimal di lingkungan sosial dan pendidikan.
