Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh sertifikasi guru, disiplin kerja, dan kepuasan kerja terhadap produktivitas kerja guru di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Kecamatan Sawang, Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, melibatkan 57 orang guru sebagai responden. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi sertifikasi guru, disiplin kerja, dan kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel bebas, serta produktivitas kerja guru sebagai variabel terikat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi guru dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap produktivitas kerja guru. Sebaliknya, kepuasan kerja tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja guru. Analisis juga menemukan bahwa kepuasan kerja tidak mampu memoderasi pengaruh sertifikasi dan disiplin kerja terhadap produktivitas kerja guru secara signifikan. Secara simultan, sertifikasi, disiplin kerja, dan kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja guru. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya peningkatan profesionalisme dan disiplin di kalangan guru untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kerja mereka, sementara kepuasan kerja tidak memiliki peran yang signifikan sebagai moderator dalam konteks ini. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya peningkatan kebijakan terkait sertifikasi dan disiplin kerja untuk memaksimalkan produktivitas guru.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the population and sample of students at SMP YPJ Kuala Kencana and to understand the distribution patterns of students used in the study. The main focus of this study is to identify the number of active students and those used as research samples, especially in March 2025. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection techniques are carried out through documentation obtained directly from school administrators. The data collected are then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques to describe the population and sample patterns used. The results of the study showed that the total number of active students at SMP YPJ Kuala Kencana in March 2025 was 210 students, consisting of 65 students in grade 7, 68 students in grade 8, and 77 students in grade 9. In this study, only students in grades 8 and 9 were used as research samples, with a total sample size of 145 students. The selection of full samples for grades 8 and 9 was based on certain considerations related to the objectives of the study, while grade 7 was not included in the sample. These findings provide a clearer picture of the distribution of students and the approach used in sampling in the school environment. The conclusion of this study is that the distribution of samples at SMP YPJ Kuala Kencana has been carried out systematically by considering the number of active students at each grade level. The results of this study can be the basis for further research in understanding the academic dynamics at the school and as a reference in developing more effective educational strategies.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology necessitates innovation in the learning process, one of which involves the utilization of Augmented Reality (AR) as an interactive learning medium. This research aims to investigate the influence of Augmented Reality utilization on students' mathematics learning motivation and outcomes in Class V of SD Kummaru Tangerang, employing both partial and simultaneous approaches. This quantitative research employs the Augmented Reality learning method, with a total sample of Class V students from SD Kummaru Tangerang, comprising 34 students, subdivided into respondents. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and documentation, followed by descriptive analysis employing SPSS version 26. The analytical techniques employed include validity and reliability tests, normality tests, multicollinearity tests, correlation tests, and linear regression. The research findings demonstrate that the Augmented Reality variable exerts a significant positive influence on students' mathematics learning motivation. Students' learning motivation also demonstrates a significant positive influence on mathematics learning outcomes. Furthermore, the regression test results indicate that the implementation of Augmented Reality and learning motivation simultaneously provide a significant contribution to mathematics learning outcomes, accounting for a determinant contribution of 59.7%. Consequently, it can be concluded that enhancing students' mathematics learning outcomes must consider the important role of Augmented Reality media and learning motivation. This research provides an alternative strategy for improving the quality of mathematics education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study explores the management of extracurricular activities in developing students' soft skills at Khairu Ummah Islamic Boarding School. Using a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, the study aimed to understand how extracurricular activities contribute to soft skills development. The findings reveal that the school focuses on religion-based soft skills training, encompassing personal, social, and academic development. The goal is to equip students with the necessary skills to confidently navigate life beyond school, grounded in religious practices and strong morals. The extracurricular training is implemented in three stages: 1) Teaching, which integrates Islamic values into activities; 2) Habituation, which encourages students to adopt positive habits such as timely prayer and discipline; and 3) Assignments, providing students with opportunities to develop their soft skills through roles in various organizations, such as room administrators, rayon administrators, and scouting coordinators. These activities, including mandatory scouting and language development programs, are tailored to the specific life skills the school aims to foster.

Abstract

This study explores the role of school principals in the supervision process to enhance certified teacher performance at MIN 1 and MIN 5 Pidie Jaya. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that effective supervision involves three key components: (1) Planning: Principals collaborate with teachers to establish structured schedules, clear goals, and suitable techniques for accurate performance assessments, fostering a supportive environment that boosts teacher performance. (2) Implementation: Supervision is carried out through the use of assessment instruments, class observations, and evaluation of teaching materials and learning outcomes, complemented by regular guidance and motivation. (3) Evaluation: Principals provide structured feedback and follow-up actions, such as improvement plans and additional training, to facilitate teachers’ professional development. The study concludes that the successful implementation of planning, execution, and evaluation in the supervision process at MIN 1 and MIN 5 Pidie Jaya significantly enhances teacher performance and contributes to improving the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This study analyzes strategies to reconstruct learning experiences in elementary schools, focusing on character development and the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) to mitigate learning loss. Conducted in Bogor, Jakarta, and Banyumas, this research used a phenomenological approach to explore participants' lived experiences, aligning with the study’s focus on personal insights into learning loss impacts. Purposive sampling selected participants, including teachers, principals, and two students from each of five schools, chosen for their direct engagement in character education and P5 activities. Data were collected via interviews, observations, and documentation, with credibility validated through triangulation. Findings reveal that learning loss impacts are significant and multifaceted, including declines in motivation, increased learning disparities, dropout risks, delays in reading, and decreases in academic performance and character. Effective character development was identified as involving positive reinforcement, a character-centered school culture, teacher modeling, and habitual practices. The P5 project, implemented through a project-based learning model, effectively integrated Pancasila values, fostering essential character traits such as perseverance, hard work, and adaptability alongside academic skills. The results highlight the P5 project's role in addressing learning loss by enhancing both academic and character growth. This approach provides practical insights for schools aiming to strengthen student resilience and adaptability. The study concludes that character development and P5 implementation can effectively reconstruct learning experiences in elementary education, supporting both academic recovery and character formation. These findings offer implications for educators and policymakers seeking comprehensive strategies to address learning loss in Indonesian schools.

Abstract

The National Education System in Aceh is organized in an Islamic and integrated manner to achieve educational goals. Initial research findings found several factors causing the less than optimal implementation of integrated education in Aceh, including: 1) minimal socialization, communication, and coordination between various stakeholders; 2) schools do not understand the concept of implementing integrated education; 3) there are no technical instructions; and 4) low participation of parents and the community with schools in supporting integrated education. Based on these problems, knowledge and skills are needed from schools in implementing an integrated education system based on Islamic, national and Acehnese values ​​as an educational model in Aceh. The concept of an integrated education model was then developed into an educational model that can be used by all schools in Aceh. In order for these problems to be overcome, a priority scale is needed in building and making changes in various aspects as part of educational reform, namely in the regulatory, professional aspects; and management aspects. The purpose of the research in the first year was to identify the potential and implementation of the implementation of integrated education in Aceh and the form of efforts by the Aceh Government in maximizing the implementation of integrated education as a reinforcement of the implementation of the independent curriculum using a SWOT analysis. This study uses a Mix Method approach using a descriptive method. The research stages were carried out by following The Exploratory Sequential Design. There is a sequence in the research stages, starting from qualitative research and continuing with quantitative. The priority of qualitative data collection and analysis was carried out in the early stages (first year). Building on the results of the exploratory analysis in the first stage, the researcher continued the next stage with a quantitative method to test or generalize based on initial findings. The researcher then interpreted how the results of qualitative research were built by initial findings (qualitative data). The results of the study have produced recommendations for a more objective and applicable integrated education implementation model as input in the framework of formulating education policies. The novelty in the study is a model for implementing education based on Islamic values, Pancasila and local wisdom of Aceh as a reinforcement of the independent curriculum which culminates in the creation of humans who have the strength of NATIONALISM, IPTEKS and IMTAQ in supporting Advanced Indonesia so that it will produce intelligent, healthy, brave and highly competitive human resources in the 4.0 era. The output of this research in the first year was 1 (one) scientific paper in an accredited national journal and 1 (one) article in a reputable international journal and 1 (one) intellectual property rights (IPR) ownership in the form of a research report.

Abstract

The low levels of mathematical communication and problem-solving skills among elementary school students in Indonesia are a serious concern, as reflected in the 2019 TIMSS scores, which fell below the international average (397 out of 487), and the PISA report, which indicates that Indonesian students’ higher-order thinking skills still lag behind those of other Southeast Asian countries. The dominance of conventional, teacher-centered teaching methods is considered one of the main factors hindering the development of these two 21st-century competencies. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model as an alternative instructional strategy for developing elementary students’ communication and problem-solving skills in mathematics. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test control group design, involving 60 fifth-grade students from two elementary schools in South Jakarta. Data were collected through problem-solving ability tests, mathematical communication assessment rubrics, and learning observation sheets. The results showed that students who learned using PjBL demonstrated significant improvements in problem-solving skills (t = 4.523, p < 0.001, Cohen’s d = 1.12) and mathematical communication (t = 3.876, p < 0.001, Cohen’s d = 0.95) compared to the control group using conventional learning methods. The improvement in the experimental group reached 41% for problem-solving and 44% for mathematical communication, while the control group improved by only 16% and 15%, respectively. These findings indicate that PjBL proved effective in the context of this study and demonstrate its potential for continued use as a learning strategy to develop 21st-century skills in mathematics education at the elementary school level. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect and effectiveness of the Deep Learning-based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the critical thinking skills and mathematical dispositions of elementary school students. A quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design was employed. The population consisted of fifth-grade students in Gugus 3 Kuta, with a total sample of 168 students (84 in the experimental group and 84 in the control group) selected through purposive sampling. The experimental group was treated with the deep learning-based PBL model, while the control group followed conventional learning. Data were collected using a critical thinking skills essay test and a mathematical disposition questionnaire. Analysis included N-Gain tests, Mann-Whitney U tests, and correlation analysis using SPSS. The results indicated a significant difference in outcomes between the two groups. The experimental group achieved a significantly higher post-test average for critical thinking (83.85) compared to the control group (47.65). Statistical tests confirmed that the deep learning-based PBL model significantly improved both critical thinking skills and mathematical dispositions (Asymp. Sig. 0.001 less than 0.05). Furthermore, the model was found to be effective in enhancing both variables simultaneously. The integration of deep learning strategies into the PBL framework—emphasizing conceptual understanding, reflection, and knowledge transfer—creates a more interactive and reflective learning environment. This synergy effectively addresses students' difficulties with contextual problems and fosters a more persistent, confident attitude toward mathematics. In conclusion, the deep learning-based PBL model is a potent alternative for developing 21st-century skills at the elementary level.

Abstract

Low literacy and numeracy achievement among Indonesian elementary school students remains a critical pedagogical challenge demanding systematic and contextual innovation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the deep learning approach as an innovative solution to literacy and numeracy challenges. A qualitative methodology with a case study design was employed to enable in-depth exploration within real-life contexts. Participants consisted of one school principal, four teachers (Grades IV-VI), eight students, and three parents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model encompassing data reduction, data display, and iterative conclusion drawing. Trustworthiness was ensured through source and method triangulation alongside member checking. Findings reveal that the implementation of deep learning across three integrated stages mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning improved average literacy scores by 17 percentage points (from 62% to 79%) and numeracy by 16 percentage points (from 60% to 76%) over a three-month intervention period. Beyond quantitative gains, significant qualitative improvements were documented in student motivation, collaborative engagement, critical thinking, and academic self-confidence. Eighty-seven percent of teachers reported that this approach effectively facilitated the integration of digital technology in learning. This study concludes that deep learning constitutes a relevant, innovative, and replicable pedagogical strategy for addressing elementary-level literacy and numeracy challenges while simultaneously enhancing the quality of technology-integrated learning.
