Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SMP. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya capaian literasi numerasi siswa Indonesia pada studi internasional serta tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tuhemberua yang terbagi dalam kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes literasi numerasi yang telah divalidasi ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan kemampuan literasi numerasi pada kelas eksperimen yang diajar dengan Learning Cycle 7E. Nilai rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen 37,50 meningkat menjadi 78,75, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya meningkat dari 30,00 menjadi 62,50. Hasil uji t independen memperoleh t-hitung = 5,21 dengan sig. = 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. Kesimpulannya, model Learning Cycle 7E terbukti lebih efektif dibanding pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan literasi numerasi, sehingga dapat dijadikan strategi alternatif pembelajaran matematika di SMP. Kata Kunci: Learning Cycle 7E, literasi numerasi, pembelajaran matematika

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving skills are one of the important competencies that students must possess. However, in reality, many students still experience difficulties in understanding problems, designing solution strategies, and communicating their results. Therefore, innovative and interactive teaching materials are needed to help students develop these skills. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Student Worksheets (SW) based on Project-Based Learning assisted by Liveworksheet on integer material in grade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Gido. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development). The development model used is ADDIE, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects are students in class VII-B at SMP Negeri 1 Gido. The research instruments include expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The validation results indicate that the SWL falls into the highly valid category with an average score of 95%. The test showed that the Students' worksheet was categorized as practical, with an average response score from teachers and students of 95%. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the student worksheet was reflected in the average score of students' mathematical problem-solving ability tests, which was 81, with a classical mastery level of 93.75%. Thus, the students' worksheet based on Project-Based Learning  assisted by Liveworksheet is declared valid, practical, and effective for improving the mathematical problem solving abilities of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Gido.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a PBL-based teaching module that is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. The research method employed is development research using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research data include qualitative data in the form of validator comments and quantitative data such as validation scores, student and teacher responses, and the results of problem-solving ability tests. The research instruments consist of learning outcome tests, validation questionnaires, and student and teacher response questionnaires. The findings reveal that the developed teaching module is highly valid with a score of 98.33%. The practicality of the module, as assessed by students and teachers, reached 95.1% and 94.5% respectively. Moreover, the module was proven to be highly effective in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, achieving an effectiveness score of 95.1%. Therefore, the PBL-based teaching module developed through the ADDIE model meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, and is feasible to be used as a learning resource to enhance students’ mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan bahan ajar, yang menyebabkan rendahnya keterampilan berpikir matematis dan self efficacy siswa. Sebagai solusi, dikembangkan modul pembelajaran matematika berbasis Problem Based Learning yang sederhana dan mudah dipahami. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan modul untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis dan self efficacy siswa kelas VIII. Penelitian menggunakan metode pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Produk yang dihasilkan adalah modul ajar matematika yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik siswa dan kurikulum. Validitas modul diuji oleh ahli, kepraktisan dinilai melalui respon guru dan siswa, dan keefektifan diukur dari peningkatan hasil tes keterampilan berpikir kritis serta angket self efficacy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid dari segi materi, bahasa, dan desain. Modul dinilai valid oleh ahli, praktis berdasarkan respon guru dan siswa, serta efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis dan self- efficacy siswa. Dengan demikian, modul pembelajaran berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi tujuan penelitian dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Model Problem Based Learning merupakan pendekatan inovatif yang menekankan pada keterlibatan aktif siswa  namun dalam praktiknya, banyak guru mengalami hambatan dalam penerapan model ini, khususnya pada pembelajaran Matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hambatan-hambatan yang dialami guru dalam menerapkan model Problem Based Learning, menganalisis faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhinya, serta mengidentifikasi strategi yang digunakan guru untuk mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah tiga orang guru Matematika di UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Ulu Moro’o yang dipilih dengan teknik sampel jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara yang dikembangkan berdasarkan indikator penerapan model Problem Based Learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hambatan utama dalam penerapan model Problem Based Learning meliputi: (1) kesulitan dalam merancang masalah kontekstual dan langkah pembelajaran, (2) keterbatasan waktu pelaksanaan, (3) rendahnya pemahaman guru terhadap tahapan Problem Based Learning, (4) keterbatasan perangkat ajar dan pelatihan profesional, serta (5) rendahnya kemandirian dan partisipasi aktif siswa. Guru berupaya mengatasi hambatan tersebut melalui adaptasi strategi pembelajaran, kolaborasi dengan sesama guru, dan pendekatan campuran antara Problem Based Learning dan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kapasitas guru melalui pelatihan Problem Based Learning serta dukungan kebijakan sekolah dalam penyediaan sarana pembelajaran yang memadai.

Abstract

Tujuan dan rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah dengan pembelajaran matematika realistik berbantuan google classroom dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan kemandirian siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIPA-1 sebanyak 36 siswa yang di ambil dari jumlah populasi data dan dapat mewakili seluruh populasi dengan teknik pengumpulan sampel yaitu teknik random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket dengan teknik analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu dengan menggunakan uji regresi berganda. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini menghasilkan nilai signifikan sebesar 0.001 < 0.05 dan F hitung 5,366 > F tabel 3,295. Dengan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan kemandirian siswa secara simultan (bersamaan) terhadap variabel Y adalah sebesar 36%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan kemandirian siswa melalui pembelajaran matematika realistik (PMR) berbantuan google classroom.

Abstract

The COVID‑19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of blended learning across Indonesian senior high schools (SMA), but systematic evidence comparing different blended models remains limited. This quantitative study conducts a comparative secondary data analysis of flipped classroom–based blended learning and Hybrid Flexible (HyFlex) models with respect to cognitive achievement and student engagement at the upper‑secondary level. Drawing on a national meta‑analysis of blended learning in Indonesia (27 studies, 2016‑2020), quasi‑experimental studies of flipped classroom implementations in SMA, and international HyFlex evaluations, the study synthesizes standardized mean differences, mean score differences, and survey‑based engagement indicators. Blended learning overall demonstrates a large positive effect on Indonesian students’ learning outcomes, including at senior high school (SMD ≈ 1.00 vs conventional instruction). Within this, flipped classroom–based blended learning yields substantial gains in critical thinking and other higher‑order cognitive outcomes, although effects on writing performance depend strongly on students’ self‑regulation. HyFlex implementations at the tertiary level generally match face‑to‑face instruction in cognitive outcomes but produce mixed patterns in grade distributions and student satisfaction. The discussion interprets these findings for Indonesian SMA in the post‑pandemic context, arguing that flipped classroom designs have stronger empirical support than HyFlex for raising cognitive achievement and structured engagement under current infrastructural and policy conditions

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli Alo’oa yang masih berada pada kategori cukup, kurangnya penerapan etnomatematika, gaya belajar yang monoton, serta keterbatasan bahan ajar interaktif. Sebagai solusi, dikembangkan modul pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan integrasi unsur budaya Nias pada materi segitiga dan segi empat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Uji coba dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Gunungsitoli Idanoi dengan instrumen berupa tes hasil belajar, angket validasi ahli materi, bahasa, dan media, serta angket respon guru dan siswa. Data penelitian terdiri atas data kualitatif berupa saran dan komentar, serta data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis (kepraktisan siswa 95,56% dan guru 96,67%), dan efektif dengan rata-rata hasil belajar 86,48 serta ketuntasan klasikal di atas 60%. Dengan demikian, modul pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika ini layak digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Mathematical concept understanding is an essential ability that students must master in mathematics learning to enable them to comprehend and apply mathematical ideas effectively. However, in reality, many students experience difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts due to low learning motivation, which ultimately affects their learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the relationship between learning motivation and mathematical concept understanding among Grade XII students. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of 90 Grade XII students, and the sample was selected using purposive sampling from class XII IPA-1. The research instruments included a learning motivation questionnaire and a mathematical concept understanding test, both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques involved normality testing, homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing using the Product Moment correlation method. The results showed that students’ learning motivation was categorized as high, with a percentage of 78.79%. Meanwhile, students’ mathematical concept understanding was mostly in the good and very good categories, with percentages of 51.52% and 27.27%, respectively. The hypothesis test indicated that the calculated t value (4.354) was greater than the t table value (2.040) at the 5% significance level. The correlation coefficient obtained was r = 0.616, with a coefficient of determination of 37.94%. These findings indicate that learning motivation is not the sole factor influencing students’ mathematical concept understanding; other internal and external factors also contribute.

Abstract

Critical thinking is an essential skill in 21st-century mathematics education; however, Indonesian students still demonstrate low achievement in this domain. Preliminary observations at SMP Negeri 8 Gunungsitoli revealed that students’ mathematical critical thinking skills were not yet optimal, partly due to the predominance of conventional instructional approaches. This study examined the effect of the Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition (AIR) learning model on students’ mathematical critical thinking skills. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design was employed, involving 60 seventh-grade students divided into an experimental group (n = 30) and a control group (n = 30). The research instrument was an essay-based mathematical critical thinking test consisting of three items, which demonstrated logical and empirical validity and satisfactory reliability. The results indicated that both groups had relatively comparable low baseline performance. After the intervention, the experimental group achieved a mean score of 71.80 (high category), whereas the control group reached only 39.80 (low category). An independent-samples t-test showed that t = 10.683 exceeded ttable = 1.672 (p < 0.05), with a very large effect size (Cohen’s d = 2.76). Simple linear regression analysis indicated that the AIR model accounted for 88.6% of the variance in students’ mathematical critical thinking skills (R² = 0.886). These findings confirm that the AIR learning model effectively enhances mathematical critical thinking by engaging students in listening activities, reflective intellectual processing, and repeated practice. This study contributes theoretically to the development of higher-order thinking-oriented mathematics instruction and offers practical implications for teachers and policymakers in promoting interactive, student-centered learning models.
