Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XII MAN 1 Solok PlusKeterampilan. Salah satu faktor yang diduga menjadi penyebab adalah kurangnya variasi dalam pengaturan tempat duduk dikelas.Untuk emngatasi permasalahan tersebut, peneliti menerapkan pengaturan tempat duduk berbentuk U dalam Proses pembelajaran.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain The Static Group Comparison Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII MAN 1 Solok Plus Keterampilan Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025 yang berjumlah 180 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuisioner untuk mengukur motivasi belajar dan tes untuk evaluasi hasil belajar matematika siswa. analisis data dilakukan dengan uji-t menggunkaan software minitab. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok yang menggunakan model U dengan kelompok yang menggunakan pengaturan tempat duduk tradisional, baik dari segi motivasi maupun hasil belajar matematika siswa. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaturan tempat duduk berbentuk U berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa kelas delapan SMPN 3 Pariaman menjadi pendorong peneliti dalam melakukan penelitian ini. Masalah lainnya yaitu terdapat perbedaan dalam cara siswa menyikapi tantangan berpikir kritis. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas delapan SMPN 3 Pariaman ditinjau dari adversity quotient (AQ). Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif. subjek penelitian ini yaitu 3 orang siswa yang dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling yang memiliki AQ yang berbeda-beda, yaitu 1 subjek dengan AQ tipe quitter, 1 subjek dengan AQ tipe camper dan 1 subjek dengan AQ tipe climber. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen utama yaitu peneliti dan instrument pendukung yaitu soal tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pendoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa ditinjau dari adversity quotient, subjek dengan AQ tipe quitter mampu memenuhi 1 indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu interpretasi. Subjek dengan AQ tipe camper mampu memenuhi 3 indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu interpretasi, evaluasi dan inferensi. Subjek dengan AQ tipe climber mampu memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi dan inferensi.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low understanding of mathematical concepts of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. Based on the results of the documentation study, the percentage of students with daily test scores below the 55 criterion ranged from 50% to 81%. Observations and interviews revealed that learning was still dominated by teachers, while students were less active in the learning process. This study aims to determine the significant effect of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This experimental study used the Static Group Comparison Design. The population of the study was class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi in the 2021/2022 academic year consisting of 127 students from 4 classes. The sample was taken randomly, with class VIII1 as the experimental class and VIII2 as the control class. The research instrument was a mathematical concept understanding test. The results of data analysis using the t-test showed a calculated t value > t table (3.269 > 1.67) at a significance level of 0.05. From SPSS, a significant value of 0.02 <0.05 was obtained so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. In conclusion, there is a significant influence of the NHT learning model on the understanding of mathematical concepts of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes and self-confidence of students due to their lack of confidence in solving practice questions given by teachers. This research aims to determine the influence of the two stay two stray type cooperative learning model on mathematics learning outcomes and student self-confidence in class IX of SMPN 4 Sungai Limau. This type of research is pre-experimental with The Static Group Comparison Design. The sample was selected by random sampling. Research instruments include lesson plans, student worksheets, learning outcomes tests, and self-confidence questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. Based on analysis of self-confidence questionnaire data using the t test at =0,05 the value of t_count> t_table is 3.7661>1.684 and the average mathematics learning result for the experimental class is 84.33 and the control class is 64.62. Analysis of the final test using the t test at a real level of =0,05 obtained the value of t_count> t_table, namely 4.073> 1.684 so that H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep siswa dengan model pembelajaran Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, dengan subjek penelitian seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 31 orang. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data tes pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dan dilakukan penskoran pemahaman konsep matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VIII secara keseluruhan memiliki rata-rata skor 75.45% dengan kriteria baik. Indikator pemahaman konsep yang digunakan yaitu 1) menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep, 2) menyajikan konsep dalam bentuk representasi matematis, 3) mengembangkan syarat perlu dan syarat cukup suatu konsep, 4) menggunakan, memanfaatkan dan memilih prosedur atau operasi tertentu, 5) mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma dalam pemecahan masalah. Abstract This study aims to understand the student's understanding of concepts with the learning model of conceptual understanding procedures (CUPs). Indikator pemahaman konsep yang digunakan yaitu 1) menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep, 2) menyajikan konsep dalam bentuk representasi matematis, 3) mengembangkan syarat perlu dan syarat cukup suatu konsep, 4) menggunakan, memanfaatkan dan memilih prosedur atau operasi tertentu, 5) mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma dalam pemecahan masalah.   This type of research is experimental, with the subject of the research being all the students of class VIII which amounted to 31 people. The data collected is a test of students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The collected data was analyzed and used to carry out a census of understanding of the mathematics concept. The results of the research showed that the understanding of mathematical concepts among students in class VIII Growth overall has an average score of 75.45% with good criteria. Indicators of understanding of the concept used are: 1) re-declaring a concept; 2) presenting the concept in the form of a mathematical representation; 3) developing the necessary and sufficient conditions of a conception; 4) using, utilizing, and choosing a particular procedure or operation; and 5) applying the concept or algorithm in problem solving.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low ability to solve mathematical problems in class VIII students of SMPN 1 IV Koto, Banuhampu District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence of the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) cooperative learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This type of research is pre-experimental with a static group comparison design. The sampling technique is taken randomly. The sample in this study were students of class VIII.4 as the experimental class and class VIII.2 as the control class. The instrument used is a test of mathematical problem solving abilities. The results of solving students' math problems are calculated using the t-test. The research results obtained tcount = 3.83 and ttable = 1.68 because tcount > t table e means H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) cooperative learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII students of SMPN 1 IV Koto. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian  ini adalah pra eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian the static group comparison design. Teknik pengambilan sampel diambil secara random. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Hasil pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dihitung dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian diperoleh thitung = 3,83 dan ttabel = 1,68 karena thitung > ttabel berarti H0 ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 IV Koto.

Abstract

Derivatives are a significant concept in calculus; nonetheless, students' conceptual understanding remains inadequate.  Therefore, a conceptual understanding of this subject should be a priority.  This study aimed to elucidate the conceptual understanding of Mathematics Education students on the topic of Derivatives.  A qualitative approach was employed.  The participants in this study comprised 62 students enrolled in the Mathematics Education programme who completed the Differential Calculus course.  The instrument employed was a conceptual knowledge assessment comprising three questions that examined the definitions of derivatives, derivative theorems, and derivatives of implicit functions.  To investigate students' conceptual understanding, the researcher interviewed four students selected to represent each category for every topic.  The employed data analysis method was qualitative data analysis as per Miles and Huberman.  The findings indicated that the majority of students had not employed the correct notion.  Students encounter difficulties in determining the differentiability of a function at a certain point and in applying the rules of multiplication and differentiation to implicit functions.  It can be argued that students' conceptual understanding of derivatives was significantly deficient.
