Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research trends in the field of sport science in Indonesia. Using a bibliometric approach, 128 relevant articles were collected, consisting of articles published in journals, written in English, and originating from Indonesia. This research focuses on analysing publication patterns and trends, with particular emphasis on publication year, affiliated institutions, and leading authors in the field of sport science. The analysis showed that 2020 was the year with the highest number of publications, indicating an increased interest and dedication to sport science research in Indonesia during that period. Among the various educational institutions contributing to this field, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta emerged as the leading campus with the highest number of publications, demonstrating its important role in advancing sport-related studies. Additionally, the study identified "Journal of Physics: Conference Series" as the dominant source of documents, signalling its significance in disseminating sports science research in Indonesia. To shed light on the prolific contributors, this study examined authorship patterns. In particular, three authors, Novita Sari Harahap, Yulingga Nanda Hanief, and Ahmad Nasrulloh, emerged as the most prolific in the sport science domain, with each of them writing four documents in the form of articles. Their notable contributions demonstrate their expertise and dedication to advancing knowledge in the field of sports science. In conclusion, while the current landscape of sport science research in Indonesia shows promise and progress, there are still limitations and areas for improvement. By addressing these challenges and embracing innovative research agendas, the field can continue to develop and flourish, ultimately contributing to the advancement of sport science knowledge and practice on both a local and global scale.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat Tingkat VO2Max atlet bola basket puteri klub Mahameru Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan penelitian korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh atlet bola basket puteri klub Mahameru Pekanbaru, sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling, jadi sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 14 orang. Tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan bleep test. Dari hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan 14 sampel yang diteliti atlet bola basket puteri klub mahameru pekanbaru di dapatkan hasil pada interval < 40 dengan kategori kurang sekali. Ini menunjukkan bahwa VO2max yang dimiliki oleh atlet bola basket puteri klub mahameru sangat kurang sekali yang meyebabkan bahwa perlunya tindak lanjut dan evaluasi untuk jangka panjang. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya VO2Max sebagai indikator utama dalam menilai kapasitas fisik atlet untuk aktivitas intensitas tinggi seperti bola basket. Dengan menerapkan program latihan kardiorespirasi yang lebih fokus, diharapkan para atlet dapat mencapai tingkat VO2Max yang lebih tinggi, meningkatkan daya tahan atlet di lapangan, dan mencapai performa optimal dalam kompetisi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterampilan futsal pada atlet ekstrakurikuler di SD Al Azhar Sifa Budi Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, yang memberikan gambaran mengenai kemampuan teknik dasar futsal pada siswa yang tergabung dalam program ekstrakurikuler. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler futsal di SD Al Azhar Sifa Budi Pekanbaru, dengan sampel yang diambil secara purposif, terdiri dari 25 siswa yang secara rutin mengikuti latihan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi tes keterampilan futsal standar, yang mencakup aspek penguasaan teknik dasar seperti dribbling, controlling, passing, shooting. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah melaksanakan penelitian yakni masih dalam kategori sangat kurang sekali, dibuktikan pada rata-rata skor keterampilan futsal di angka 73,96 terletak pada interval 60 – 76. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi pelatih dan pihak sekolah untuk merancang program latihan yang lebih terstruktur dan terarah, guna mengoptimalkan keterampilan futsal siswa. Dengan latihan yang tepat, diharapkan siswa dapat mencapai performa yang lebih tinggi dalam futsal dan membangun dasar yang kuat bagi pengembangan keterampilan olahraga yang lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Penelitian Ini Bertujuan Untuk Mengetahui Peranan konsentrasi terhadap olahraga petanque. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian literature review. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti sebelumnya yang diperoleh dari situs Google Scholar. Hasil kajian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat 7 hasil penelitian dalam jurnal yang menyatakan bahwa konsentrasi  berpengaruh besar terhadap kontribusi olahraga petanque dan 2 jurnal lainnya menyatakan knsentrasi tidak benyak berkontribusi dalam olahraga petanque. Jadi,kesimpulannya adalah konsentrasi memberi pengaruh dan sumbangan yang besar untuk melakukan olahraga petanque baik dalam pointing maupun shooting.

Abstract

Teachers' beliefs and attitudes about teaching students with disabilities in a physical education setting are the most important factors in inclusive education, as teachers' attitudes directly influence success in learning. This study aimed to assess physical education teachers' beliefs and attitudes regarding teaching students with disabilities in inclusive primary schools. A qualitative approach was used with a sample of 12 physical education teachers from 24 inclusive education-provider schools in Pekanbaru. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and observation checklists and analysed using content analysis. Findings showed significant variation in teachers' beliefs regarding the potential of students with disabilities in physical education. While some teachers showed a strong belief in the abilities of these students, others remained sceptical. In addition, some teachers were more confident in teaching students with mild disabilities compared to students with more severe disabilities. These findings underline the importance of improving teachers' understanding of the potential of students with disabilities in the context of physical education. This research contributes to a better understanding of physical education teachers' perspectives on inclusive education, which serves as a basis for improving training and support strategies for teachers who face challenges in teaching students with diverse disabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine teachers' perceptions of inclusive physical education in Pekanbaru City and the identity of the factors that influence their perceptions from a socio-cultural perspective. This research is qualitative. The research subjects recruited were physical education teachers in Pekanbaru City. The selection of participants is based on two criteria: (i) teachers who have earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and (ii) teachers who teach students with disabilities in public and private junior high schools. Based on these criteria, only five physical education teachers were found. Individual interviews were conducted with each teacher. Deductive and inductive analysis processes are used to organize and report the data. The results showed that teachers believed general physical education classes were a good place to develop students with disabilities. Teachers realize that students with disabilities can have equal opportunities to participate in general physical education programs and develop social skills. Although the teachers recognized these benefits, they also expressed concern about the instructional and environmental barriers to the inclusion of students with disabilities in mainstream sports programs. Future research should address the importance of teachers' beliefs and practices about effective teaching in inclusive.

Abstract

Background: The integration of virtual reality (VR) and eye-tracking (ET) technologies has considerable potential for enhancing perceptual–cognitive skill development in basketball. However, existing research provides limited guidance on the technical and pedagogical requirements for designing VR–ET systems that are both instructionally meaningful and aligned with user needs. Aims: This study aims to identify these key design requirements through a user-centred mixed-methods approach. Methods: Semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions with coaches and lecturers were conducted to explore training challenges, expectations, and pedagogical considerations. Insights from the qualitative phase informed the development of a questionnaire administered to student-athletes (N = 120), allowing for the validation and prioritisation of system requirements. Qualitative data were analysed thematically, while quantitative data were examined using descriptive statistics. Result: The integrated findings reveal six essential domains for effective VR–ET system design: immersive tactical–technical visualisation, interactive decision-making scenarios, gaze-based performance indicators, real-time visual feedback, learning support features, and implementation readiness. Users emphasised the value of VR–ET for enhancing tactical understanding, attentional control, and personalised training experiences. Conclusion: This study contributes both theoretically and methodologically by addressing the lack of user-informed frameworks in VR–ET research and demonstrating the value of participatory mixed-methods approaches in sports technology development. The results provide a foundational design blueprint for future VR–ET prototypes and offer new insights into how immersive and gaze-based technologies can support athlete learning in team sports.

Abstract

Leadership has been identified as an important factor that may help guide and contribute to the effective provision of physical education in several different contexts. Despite the importance attributed to physical education leadership, more empirical research evidence still needs to relate to the topic. The purpose of this review is to describe leadership research in physical education in the last five years (2018–2022). Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) were adopted for the research review, and two databases (Scopus and Web of Science) were used in article browsing. 741 articles were obtained from two databases (Scopus: 392 articles) and (WoS: 349 articles). After following the exclusion criteria, only 13 articles remained. The review succeeded in showing that Iraq publishes the most research, and quantitative, qualitative, mixed research (quantitative and qualitative) approaches, and heuristic approaches are the methods and types of research used, and then the review is divided into five research groups: (i) physical education teacher leadership, (ii) principals and departmental leadership, (iii) student leadership, (iv) school leadership, and (v) cultural leadership. Of these five groups, transformational leadership is the most frequently discussed topic. Future research can be continued with mapping analysis of research on this topic using bibliometric or scientometric studies. This literature review can also be continued by discussing the topic of leadership in sports.

Abstract

Background: Job satisfaction among physical education (PE) teachers is a critical factor influencing instructional quality, work motivation, and long-term professional commitment. However, there is currently no comprehensive and standardized instrument specifically designed to measure the job satisfaction of PE teachers within the Indonesian context. Research Objective: This study aimed to develop and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Indonesian Physical Education Teacher Job Satisfaction Scale (IPET-JSS), an adapted and contextually modified version of Spector’s Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS), tailored specifically for PE teachers in Indonesia. Method: A cross-sectional quantitative survey design was employed. A total of 300 PE teachers from primary, junior secondary, and senior/vocational high schools—both public and private—in Bengkulu City participated. The IPET-JSS comprises 36 items across nine dimensions (pay, promotion, supervision, fringe benefits, contingent rewards, operating procedures, coworkers, nature of work, and communication), rated on a 6-point Likert scale. Construct validity was assessed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and reliability was examined via Cronbach’s alpha and composite reliability (CR). Finding/Results: All items showed factor loadings above 0.50. The Cronbach’s alpha for each dimension ranged from 0.75 to 0.86, and CR values exceeded 0.70, indicating strong internal consistency. Coworkers and Nature of Work were the highest-rated dimensions, while Pay and Operating Procedures received the lowest scores. The CFA results supported a good model fit (CFI > 0.90; RMSEA < 0.08), affirming the structural validity of the IPET-JSS. Conclusion: The IPET-JSS is a psychometrically sound instrument for assessing job satisfaction among Indonesian PE teachers. It holds promise for use in both research and practice, particularly in teacher evaluation, educational policy development, and professional development planning. Future studies are recommended to explore its cross-contextual validity and associations with other psychosocial constructs.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam pendidikan tinggi terus berkembang, namun implementasinya dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani di Indonesia masih terbatas dan belum terintegrasi secara optimal. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu dalam memanfaatkan AI sebagai sarana pengembangan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan adaptif. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi lima tahap, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta perencanaan keberlanjutan program. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara daring melalui webinar dan workshop dengan pemanfaatan tools AI seperti ChatGPT dan Canva AI. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test, penilaian proyek media pembelajaran, serta survei reflektif peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap AI, di mana lebih dari 80% mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan skor pemahaman setelah kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Selain itu, lebih dari 70% kelompok peserta berhasil menghasilkan media pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani berbasis AI yang fungsional dan relevan dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan berbasis AI efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital dan keterampilan pedagogis mahasiswa Pendidikan Jasmani. Oleh karena itu, integrasi AI dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani direkomendasikan untuk dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi.
