Abstract

Pendangkalan alur pelayaran akibat sedimentasi meningkatkan risiko keselamatan dan menghambat aktivitas ekonomi. Fenomena ini terlihat nyata di Alur Pelayaran Kali Perak, di mana laju pengendapan beberapa tahun terakhir belum ditangani melalui pengerukan rutin dan berdampak pada operasional galangan kapal di sepanjang alur. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai dampak sedimentasi terhadap operasional galangan kapal. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan bantuan SPSS; responden adalah pegawai PT Dumas Tanjung Perak Shipyard dan Galangan Pelni Surya. Analisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan persamaan Y = 5,943 + 1,112X, yang menunjukkan pengaruh positif dan signifikan sedimentasi (X) terhadap gangguan/biaya operasional (Y). Secara empiris, dampak yang teridentifikasi meliputi berkurangnya jumlah serta ukuran kapal yang dapat melintas, peningkatan biaya operasional, dan keterlambatan karena menunggu kondisi pasang tertinggi. Temuan ini menegaskan urgensi pemeliharaan berkala (pengerukan) dan manajemen alur untuk menjaga kelancaran operasi galangan dan keselamatan pelayaran di Kali Perak.   Shoaling of navigation channels due to sedimentation increases safety risks and hampers economic activity. This issue is evident in the Kali Perak navigation channel, where accelerated deposition in recent years has not been addressed through routine dredging, affecting shipyard operations along the waterway. This study assesses the impact of sedimentation on shipyard operations. A quantitative approach using SPSS was employed; respondents were employees of PT Dumas Tanjung Perak Shipyard and Galangan Pelni Surya. Simple linear regression yielded the model Y = 5.943 + 1.112X, indicating a positive and statistically significant effect of sedimentation (X) on operational impacts/costs (Y). Empirically, the impacts include fewer and smaller vessels able to transit, increased operational costs, and delays while waiting for high-tide windows. These findings underscore the urgency of periodic maintenance dredging and channel management to sustain shipyard operations and navigational safety in Kali Perak.

Abstract

Pada industri transportasi tepatnya transportasi laut, penggunaan teknologi informasi digunakan untuk memonitoring kerja operasional, distribusi, laporan, dan seluruh kegiatan kerja. Maka dari pemerintah berupaya menciptakan suatu sistem informasi yaitu sistem single submission pengangkut yang termasuk dalam Indonesia national single window untuk memudahkan dan memperlancar kegiatan kepengurusan kapal. Sistem ini dibentuk untuk dengan tujuan untuk menyederhanakan proses kepengurusan dokumen kapal dalam hal ini PT Trans Cakrawala Perkasa sebagai Perusahaan keagenan kapal telah mengimplikasikan sistem single submission pengangkut dalam operasionalnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui penerapan sistem single submission pengangkut terhadap efisiensi dan ketepatan waktu pada clearance kapal, selain itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kendala kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapan sistem single submission pengangkut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan SPSS versi 27 serta di uji dengan metode uji t berpasangan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa adanya perbedaan waktu signifikan terhadap proses clearance kapal pada saat sebelum penerapan sistem single submission pengangkut dengan sesudah penerapan sistem single submission pengangkut. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan hasil yang diperoleh pada uji t berpasangan yang menunjukan hasil nilai t tabel = 6.974 dengan nilai p < 0.001 dan dikuatkan dengan uji perbandingan rata-rata sebelum penerapan adalah 54.25 Skor dan sesudah penerapan meningkat menjadi 68.13 sehingga dapat di ketahui Terdapat kenaikan rata-rata sebesar 13.88 poin setelah penerapan.

Abstract

It is important to review the use of auxiliary equipment in unloading special handling containers and the implementation of K3, so that unwanted incidents do not occur in loading and unloading activities at the Surabaya Container Terminal. The purpose of this study is to find out the application of K3 in Cargo special handing unloading activities in accordance with regulations, to find out the potential risk of accidents that occur during Cargo special handling unloading activities at PT. Surabaya Container Terminal. The method used is qualitative descriptive in the form of words or pictures so that it is easy to understand by others. The data sources and data collection techniques in this study are primary data from interviews, observations and secondary data sources obtained from journals, interns, and previous research. The data analysis techniques used used used data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of this study are the application of K3 and the potential risk of work accidents during Cargo Special Handling Unloading activities at PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya. The application of K3 in Cargo Special handling unloading activities is in accordance with existing regulations because it has used the auxiliary equipment that has been provided, but there are still some accidents that occur caused by human and environmental factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penyebab kegagalan pembakaran awal pada sistem burner boiler di kapal MV. Tanto Abadi, serta mengevaluasi efektivitas tindakan perawatan dalam mengoptimalkan kinerja sistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab utama kegagalan pembakaran adalah kondisi nozzle yang kotor, sistem ignition yang tidak presisi, blower yang tidak optimal, tekanan bahan bakar yang tidak stabil, serta kualitas bahan bakar yang buruk. Dampak dari kegagalan ini meliputi tertundanya produksi steam, peningkatan konsumsi bahan bakar, dan sistem shutdown otomatis. Setelah dilakukan perawatan seperti pembersihan nozzle dan elektroda, penyetelan ulang jarak elektroda, serta penggantian packing burner, performa sistem menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan. Tekanan bahan bakar dan uap kembali ke kondisi optimal, dan proses produksi berjalan stabil. Kegiatan perawatan rutin serta keterlibatan aktif kru dan kadet dalam proses teknis turut berkontribusi terhadap keberhasilan sistem pembakaran.   This study aims to analyze the causes of initial combustion failure in the burner boiler system onboard MV. Tanto Abadi, and to evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance actions in optimizing system performance. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the main causes of combustion failure are dirty nozzles, imprecise ignition systems, suboptimal blower performance, unstable fuel pressure, and poor fuel quality. The impacts include delayed steam production, increased fuel consumption, and automatic shutdowns. After performing maintenance such as nozzle and electrode cleaning, electrode gap adjustment, and burner packing replacement, the combustion system performance improved significantly. Fuel and steam pressure returned to optimal conditions, and the steam production process became stable. Routine maintenance activities and active involvement of the crew and cadets in technical processes contributed to the success of the combustion system.

Abstract

Sea transportation is a means of transportation that has a very vital role as a means of transportation that can reach all regions via water. In order for activities to run smoothly, good ship safety and security management efforts are needed. The management efforts are external, namely supervising ship activities by the KSOP harbormaster. The aim of this research is to find out and analyze the influence of the harbormaster's function in supervising the management of ship safety and security in the KSOP Class III Tanjung Pakis. The research method used in this research is a quantitative method using the SPSS application. The number of samples in this research was 50 crew members who were active in the KSOP Class III Tanjung Pakis area using the Non-Probability Sampling method with the Quota Sampling Technique. The analysis technique used in this research is simple linear regression analysis, then the equation results are obtained, namely Y = 19.969 + 0.398X. The results of this research show that harbormaster supervision has a positive and significant effect on ship safety and security management in the KSOP Class III Tanjung Pakis area. Then, based on the test results, the coefficient of determination showed a result of 0.783, which means that the influence of the harbormaster's supervision on ship safety and security management in the KSOP Class III Tanjung Pakis area is 78.3%

Abstract

Objective – This research aims to analyze the impact of Effective Time : Berthing Time on the Berth Occupancy Ratio at Mirah Port, Tanjung Perak, by assessing its efficiency and compliance with operational standards.Design/methodology/approach – The research applies a quantitative method with simple linear regression analysis. The data were obtained from monthly Performance Standards Reports of KSOP Utama Tanjung Perak from 2020 to 2024. The analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 to determine the statistical significance of Effective Time : Berthing Time’s impact on Berth OccupancyRatio.Findings – The analysis shows that the Effective Time to Berthing Time ratio for both 2023 and 2024 consistently falls below the required minimum standard. Despite this, the Berth Occupancy Ratio remains within a safe range and does not surpass the established threshold. Further hypothesis testing demonstrates that there is a significant relationship between the Effective Time to Berthing Time ratio and the Berth Occupancy Ratio. However, this ratio only explains a small portion of the variation in BerthOccupancy Ratio, suggesting that most of the changes are influenced by other factors not covered in this study.Research limitations/implications – The research is limited to Terminal Mirah and covers only the period from 2020 to 2024. Future research should consider expanding the dataset and including other performance factors.Practical implications – Terminal Mirah should enhance operational effectiveness through infrastructure optimization, workforce training, and improved cargo handling efficiency to raise Effective Time : Berthing Time values, ensuring optimal Berth Occupancy Ratio utilization.Originality/value – This research contributes to port management studies by establishing the relationship between Effective Time : Berthing Time and Berth Occupancy Ratio, highlighting the need for improved operational efficiency to meet regulatory standards.

Abstract

Terminal Petikemas Nilam merupakan salah satu terminal logistik strategis yang berada di Surabaya, Jawa Timur, dan dikelola oleh Subholding PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP). Sebagai area operasional dengan risiko kecelakaan kerja yang tinggi, Terminal Petikemas Nilam menerapkan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sebagai bagian dari fungsi HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment). Namun, berdasarkan data tahun 2024, terdapat 24 kejadian kecelakaan kerja, menunjukkan bahwa implementasi K3 masih perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal serta merumuskan strategi implementasi K3 yang lebih efektif menggunakan analisis SWOT, IFAS, dan EFAS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Terminal Petikemas Nilam memiliki beberapa kekuatan seperti fasilitas APD lengkap, sistem digitalisasi, dan pelaksanaan safety induction. Di sisi lain, kelemahan utama termasuk kemacetan di akses gate, kurangnya personel keamanan, dan rendahnya kesadaran Tenaga Kerja Bongkar Muat (TKBM) terhadap budaya K3. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, strategi yang direkomendasikan meliputi pemanfaatan teknologi kartu akses dan portal otomatis, peningkatan pelatihan K3, serta penambahan jumlah security. Matriks IE menempatkan Terminal Petikemas Nilam pada posisi “Hold and Maintain”, sehingga strategi yang sesuai adalah fokus pada efisiensi operasional, perbaikan kelemahan, serta optimalisasi peluang.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Pelabuhan Teluk Palu ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan keselamatan kerja tenaga kerja bongkar muat melalui program penyuluhan dan uji kompetensi. Sebanyak 40 peserta yang terdiri dari tenaga kerja bongkar muat mengikuti kegiatan ini, yang berlangsung selama tiga hari. Kegiatan diawali dengan sesi penyuluhan yang mencakup materi mengenai prosedur keselamatan kerja, teknik bongkar muat yang efisien, dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD). Dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan praktis yang melibatkan simulasi bongkar muat dan penanganan keadaan darurat. Pada hari terakhir, dilakukan uji kompetensi yang terdiri dari tes tertulis dan ujian praktik untuk menilai pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil uji kompetensi menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta dinyatakan kompeten, dengan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman keselamatan kerja dan teknik bongkar muat. Para peserta yang lulus uji kompetensi diberikan sertifikat sebagai bukti keterampilan mereka. Rekomendasi diberikan kepada pengelola pelabuhan dan koperasi tenaga kerja bongkar muat untuk menyelenggarakan pelatihan berkala, meningkatkan fasilitas dan infrastruktur, serta mengembangkan sistem manajemen keselamatan yang lebih baik. Capaian kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan keselamatan operasional di Pelabuhan Teluk Palu, serta memberikan kontribusi positif bagi perekonomian daerah

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that cause overflow in the fuel oil purifier system and to identify measures that can be taken to address this issue using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. Overflow in the fuel oil purifier can disrupt the fuel purification process, which is crucial for engine performance. Therefore, understanding the causes and appropriate solutions is essential. The analysis results indicate that the factors causing overflow include leakage or wear of vital components such as O-rings, gravity discs, belts, bowls, main seal rings, ball bearings, nozzles, and pilot valves, as well as improper installation of components or blockages due to debris obstructing the flow. Overflow can be managed through regular inspections of components prone to wear or damage, routine cleaning of components that are susceptible to clogging, and continuous monitoring and calibration of the system to ensure the purifier operates optimally. By implementing these measures, the fuel oil purifier system is expected to function efficiently, reduce the risk of overflow, and enhance the reliability of the fuel purification process.

Abstract

The problem of clinker damage during the loading process, many problems that arise cannot be separated from several natural factors and errors in procedures during the loading and unloading process. The aim of this research is to determine the impact, causes and efforts to prevent clinker damage during loading activities at the PT Special Terminal. Semen Indonesia Tuban. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method. This research was carried out at PT. Varia Usaha Bahri Tuban branch. The techniques used in collecting data are through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are that the occurrence of clinker damage is the fault of the loading and unloading workers (TKBM) in maintaining the cleanliness of organic and inorganic waste in the stacking yard area and the foreman must carry out weather observations.
