Abstract

Terminal Petikemas Nilam merupakan salah satu terminal logistik strategis yang berada di Surabaya, Jawa Timur, dan dikelola oleh Subholding PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP). Sebagai area operasional dengan risiko kecelakaan kerja yang tinggi, Terminal Petikemas Nilam menerapkan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sebagai bagian dari fungsi HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment). Namun, berdasarkan data tahun 2024, terdapat 24 kejadian kecelakaan kerja, menunjukkan bahwa implementasi K3 masih perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal serta merumuskan strategi implementasi K3 yang lebih efektif menggunakan analisis SWOT, IFAS, dan EFAS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Terminal Petikemas Nilam memiliki beberapa kekuatan seperti fasilitas APD lengkap, sistem digitalisasi, dan pelaksanaan safety induction. Di sisi lain, kelemahan utama termasuk kemacetan di akses gate, kurangnya personel keamanan, dan rendahnya kesadaran Tenaga Kerja Bongkar Muat (TKBM) terhadap budaya K3. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, strategi yang direkomendasikan meliputi pemanfaatan teknologi kartu akses dan portal otomatis, peningkatan pelatihan K3, serta penambahan jumlah security. Matriks IE menempatkan Terminal Petikemas Nilam pada posisi “Hold and Maintain”, sehingga strategi yang sesuai adalah fokus pada efisiensi operasional, perbaikan kelemahan, serta optimalisasi peluang.

Abstract

Injector adalah suatu alat untuk menyemprotkan bahan bakar minyak menjadi kabut halus atau gas yang akan mempermudah gas tersebut terbakar di dalam ruang bakar mesin. Proses pengabutan ini bertujuan agar bahan bakar mudah bercampur dengan udara dan terbakar secara sempurna di dalam ruang bakar mesin. Dengan lancarnya sirkulasi bahan bakar di dalam mesin maka akan berdampak pada efisiennya kinerja injector. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki penyebab masalah injector pembakaran pada mesin diesel kapal KM Logistik Nusantara 4 dan merumuskan strategi pemeliharaan yang dapat menyelesaikan masalah tersebut secara efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode reduksi data untuk menghilangkan materi-materi yang tidak perlu dan mengorganisasikan data sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan akhir, hasil akhir penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab kerusakan injector disebabkan oleh terkontaminasi partikel asing dalam bahan bakar. Dengan itu diperlukan perawatan rutin seperti pembersihan injector dan filter secara berkala. Sehingga untuk mempertahankan kualitas injector bahan bakar di kapal, memperpanjang usia mesin kapal, dan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional kapal An injector is a device to spray fuel oil into a fine mist or gas that will make it easier for the gas to burn in the combustion chamber of the engine. This fogging process aims to make the fuel easily mix with the air and burn perfectly in the engine's combustion chamber. With the smooth circulation of fuel in the engine, it will have an impact on the efficiency of the injector performance. This study aims to investigate the cause of the combustion injector problem in the diesel engine of the KM Logistik Nusantara 4 ship and formulate a maintenance strategy that can solve the problem effectively. This study uses a data reduction method to eliminate unnecessary materials and organize the data so that a final conclusion can be drawn, the final results of the study show that the cause of the damage to the injector is caused by contamination of foreign particles in the fuel. With that, regular maintenance is required such as regular cleaning of injectors and filters. So as to maintain the quality of the fuel injector on the ship, extend the life of the ship's engine, and improve the operational efficiency of the ship

Abstract

The dredging activity at Tanjung Pakis General Terminal is carried out to support the construction of the jetty and the deepening of turning basin to enhance the berthing capacity of ships. However, the actual dredger volume did not meet the meet the initial plan, potentially affecting maritime safety and security. This study aims to analyze dredging productivity and identity the factors causing discrepancies between the planned and actual dredging volumes. This study employs a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative analysis through descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis using a fishbone diagram. The research findings indicate a significant decline in dredged volume, with the total realized volume reaching only 221.619,47 m3 out of the planned 500.000 m3. The primary factors contributing to this discrepancy include administrative issues, environmental factors such as high waves, and fishing activities in the area.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of overtime work on physical and mental fatigue of the crew of the MV ship. Manalagi Tisya, by identifying the causal factors and consequences that may arise due to additional working hours. In this study, the researcher will apply a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. This research was conducted by the author on the MV ship. Manalagi Tisya owned by PT Pelayaran Manalagi which is a subsidiary of PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines, with the ship call sign "YBTL2" and a total load capacity of 52201 MT. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of this research data used source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it explains that the Overtime Pattern: The crew of the MV ship. Manalagi Tisya experienced an average of 4.5 hours of overtime per day, with the Engine Department experiencing the highest overtime (an average of 5.2 hours). Overtime most often occurs during loading and unloading at the port (35%) and when facing bad weather (27%), Physical Impact: Continuous overtime causes significant physical impacts in the form of sleep disturbances (80%), back and waist pain (70%), and muscle pain (60%), Mental Impact: As many as 85% of crew experience moderate to severe mental fatigue due to overtime, with the main symptoms being difficulty concentrating (75%), irritability (65%), and decreased decision-making ability (60%). Safety: There is a strong positive correlation (r = 0.82) between the duration of overtime and the frequency of safety incidents. The risk of incidents increases by 28% for every additional 2 hours of overtime, Work Performance: Overtime has an impact on decreased work performance, especially in problem-solving skills (45%), compliance with procedures (41%), and effective communication (37%), Overtime Management: The most effective overtime management strategies are task rotation and fatigue management training, but their implementation is still not optimal. Limited number of personnel and operational demands are the main obstacles in minimizing overtime, Regulatory Compliance: Average working hours of MV ship crew. Abstract

Ship loading and unloading activities are one of the vital components in port operations that greatly affect logistics efficiency and the smooth distribution of goods, especially energy commodities such as coal. This study aims to analyze the effect of coal loading and unloading activities on the MV. Chang Long ship on the efficiency of clearance in & out time at PT. Adhika Samudera Jaya, a shipping company that acts as a ship agent in the Palembang area. This clearance process includes administrative and operational aspects that must be fulfilled by the ship before and after loading and unloading activities are carried out. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through field observations, interviews with related parties such as operational heads, operational staff, and shippers, as well as documentation. The results of the study showed that there were several obstacles in loading and unloading activities that had a direct impact on delays in clearance in & out, including late payment of Letter of Credit (LC) by buyers, bad weather conditions, lack of coordination between related parties, and technical disruptions such as damage to loading and unloading equipment. These delays have an impact on operational cost inflation and decreased time efficiency. The solutions offered include document digitalization, improved communication and coordination between ship agents, ports, and buyers, and strengthening the logistics management system. This research is expected to be a reference for the shipping industry in managing loading and unloading activities effectively, as well as assisting port agencies in improving the efficiency of ship clearance procedures. With coordinated and systematic implementation, the clearance in & out process can take place faster, more efficiently, and have a positive impact on the smooth distribution of strategic commodities.

Abstract

In Indonesia's oil and gas industry, the procurement of goods and services, including ship chartering, plays an important role in supporting the smooth operation of upstream oil and gas activities. The ever-changing dynamics of competition have a significant impact on the strategies that companies choose to implement. Additionally, companies handle various projects with varying lease durations, indicating market dynamics that demand flexible and effective strategies, especially in the competitive shipping industry. The primary objective of this study is to identify the marketing strategies implemented, identify the challenges faced in their implementation, and analyze the impact of these strategies on the sustainability of the company's business. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation, structured interviews with marketing management, and documentation. The results of the study show that the marketing strategies used by offshore support vessel companies include Word of Mouth (WoM) and tender and direct charter systems. However, there are several challenges in their implementation, such as price fluctuations or discrepancies, as well as mismatches between the offered price and the reference price set by SKK Migas. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain or improve service quality, innovate vessel designs, or offer flexible charter packages, conduct regular evaluations to analyze market prices to avoid errors, and ensure the offshore support vessel company remains competitive and sustainable in the market.

Abstract

Industri pelayaran berperan penting dalam perdagangan internasional dengan menyumbang lebih dari 80% aktivitas distribusi global. Perkembangan teknologi digital, khususnya implementasi sistem Indonesia National Single Window (INSW), diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan kinerja jasa keagenan kapal, terutama dalam proses clearance in dan out kapal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh implementasi teknologi digital INSW terhadap kinerja perusahaan keagenan kapal di Terminal Jamrud Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan verifikatif. Data yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada staff keagenan kapal sebagai pengguna sistem INSW, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik untuk mengukur tingkat pengaruh Implementasi INSW yang signifikan berdampak positif terhadap efisiensi waktu, akurasi dokumen, dan koordinasi antar instansi, meskipun masih terdapat hambatan seperti kendala teknis dan kurangnya pelatihan SDM. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi digital INSW berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja jasa keagenan kapal, dan rekomendasi strategis diperlukan untuk mengoptimalkan sistem tersebut demi mendukung kelancaran operasional Pelabuhan dan peningkatan daya saing logistik nasional.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan awak kapal yang kompeten dan bersertifikasi semakin meningkat seiring berkembangnya penggunaan kapal berbahan bakar gas (LNG) dalam industri pelayaran. Agen crewing memegang peranan penting dalam memastikan tersedianya SDM pelaut yang memenuhi standar kompetensi dan keselamatan internasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran strategis perusahaan agen crewing dalam mendukung operasional pelayaran, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dan solusi yang relevan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui pendekatan field research selama 12 bulan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi langsung, wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan Compliance Supervisor, Training Supervisor, dan Staff Replacement dan Replacement, serta dokumentasi internal perusahaan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Fishbone Diagram untuk mengidentifikasi akar penyebab kendala dalam rekrutmen pelaut berkualitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan agen crewing memiliki peran vital dalam proses perekrutan, pelatihan, dan penempatan awak kapal, terutama yang dibutuhkan untuk kapal berbahan bakar gas. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan pelaut bersertifikat IGF, belum optimalnya sistem digitalisasi, dan minimnya fasilitas pelatihan teknologi. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya penguatan pelatihan internal secara berkala, pengembangan database digital terintegrasi untuk pemantauan sertifikasi, serta peningkatan kerja sama dengan lembaga diklat bersertifikat guna menjawab tantangan operasional pelayaran yang semakin kompleks.

Abstract

Kompresor mesin pendingin adalah sebuah alat yang digunakan untuk mengalirkan refrigerant keseluruh sistim utama di pendingin makanan, pada mesin pendingin sering mengalami penurunan tekanan kompresor yang mengalirkan refrigerant ke sistim pendingin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui penyebab menurunnya tekanan Refrigerant pada mesin pendingin di atas kapal SV. Osam Jumbo 05 dan mengetahui cara mengatasi permasalahan menurunnya tekanan Refrigerant tersebut secara efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode RCA (Root Cause Analysis) untuk menemukan faktor penyebab yang berpengaruh pada satu atau lebih peristiwa yang pernah terjadi yang mana hasil dari metode tersebut dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan sebuah kinerja. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penyebab menurunnya tekanan Refrigerant disebabkan oleh kebocoran pada sistim pendingin yaitu pipa Refrigerant. Dengan itu diperlukan perawatan rutin seperti pengecekan komponen mesin pendingin secara berkala. Sehingga mengetahui penyebab kebocoran.

Abstract

The research issues raised by what methods can be used to maximize the implementation of garbage management on board, while the aim of the research is to provide suggestion to minimize this problem. The research method used is a qualitative method while using the Miles and Huberman as approaching method to process data and then the results will be presented based on the objectives to be achieved. The data analysis techniques used including collecting primary data through observation, interviews and documentation as well as secondary data from the ship's archives. The theoretical basis used including theories about the marine pollution, garbage management, international rules governing garbage management on ships, supporting tools used to maximize garbage management, and ship operational standards regarding garbage management are also analyzed to support the research results. The results of this study found that the lack of implementation of waste management procedures on board ships is caused by the crew's low awareness regarding these procedures, leading to garbage accumulation and highlighting the need for supervision and education by officers in the implementation of waste management procedures.
