Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains belum diterapkan secara efektif khususnya untuk pembelajaran IPA dengan pola belajar mandiri sehingga berdampak pada kualitas berpikir dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku ajar IPA berbasis keterampilan proses sains untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang layak, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Swasta Arisa Medan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas V sebanyak 28 orang siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, angket validasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi 87,14% kriteria sangat valid, Hasil validasi ahli desain 96,21% kriteria sangat valid, Hasil validasi ahli bahasa 88,46% kriteria sangat valid; (2) Berdasarkan hasil respon siswa diperoleh uji coba kelompok kecil 91,25% kriteria sangat praktis, Hasil uji coba lapangan 91,29% kriteria sangat praktis, hasil respon guru sebesar 95,83% sangat praktis.; (3) Hasil uji hipotesis independent sample t test diperolehan hasil uji t (2-tailed) yang diperoleh sebesar 0,000 Mengacu pada dasar pengambilan keputusan berarti 0,000 < 0,05 atau Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh buku ajar IPA berbasis keterampilan proses sains terhadap berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SD Swasta Arisa Medan. Peningkatan berpikir kritis siswa terlihat pada nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen dengan skor 0,637 yang dinyatakan berkategori sedang. Hasil N-Gain kelas kontrol 0,361 kategori rendah. Artinya buku ajar IPA berbasis keterampilan proses sains efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas pada tema peristiwa dalam kehidupan di kelas V SD Swasta Arisa Medan. Abstract

Penjaminan mutu pendidikan memerlukan sistem evaluasi yang sistematis, integratif, dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kualitas pendidikan sekolah menengah melalui pengembangan dan penerapan instrumen pembelajaran IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) yang mencakup perangkat, proses, dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini merupakan hasil program inisiasi LPPM Universitas Negeri Medan bekerja sama dengan Dinas Pendidikan dan sekolah mitra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif melalui survei dengan instrumen evaluatif berbasis IPAS yang diisi oleh 47 guru dari berbagai sekolah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran, kompetensi guru, penggunaan media, dan sarana pembelajaran memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan mutu akademik siswa. Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya integrasi antara asesmen pembelajaran, perangkat ajar, dan kompetensi guru dalam penjaminan mutu pendidikan. Rekomendasi diarahkan pada penerapan siklus PPEPP (Penetapan, Pelaksanaan, Evaluasi, Pengendalian, dan Peningkatan) secara berkelanjutan di tingkat sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to develop HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) test instruments that are able to measure the level of students' critical and creative thinking skills in optical material. The research method used is the ADDIE Research and Development method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, & Evaluate). The research subjects used students from Medan An-Nizam Private High School T.P 2018/2019. The study produced 20 items of test instruments consisting of multiple choices and essays showing that HOTS thinking skills (Higher Order Thinking Skill) from the study sample amounted to 39 people were 18% of students had creative thinking skills, 23% of students had Creative-Critical thinking skills, 54% of students had skills critical thinking, and 5% of students with superior skills are critical.Keywords: Development of HOTS Test Instrument, Optical Material, ADDIE Method.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain the innovation of sound wave material assessment instruments, and obtain instruments of assessment of critical thinking skills that meet valid and reliable criteria. This type of research is ADDIE. Product development procedures through the analysis research stage to implementation. At the analysis stage, the preliminary stage includes analysis of the types of instruments found in the school. Design procedures, namely the stage of compiling questions to form questions, at the development stage is the stage of formulating the type of instrument, validation to experts, limited trials, large-scale trials and product implementation. The results of this study are the types of assessment instruments developed are essay test analysis, problem solving tests that are oriented towards students' critical thinking skills applied in the SMA 2 Percut Sei Tuan high school. Instruments are declared valid and reliable. The instrument can measure the average student learning outcomes, measuring the proportion of student completeness.

Abstract

The research aims to design a virtual preview module with a scientific process skill approach with a dynamic electrical circuit application on electric matter. This research method uses descriptive research methods with quantitative approaches, on ADDIE development models with the sat analysis stages (data and information collection), design (product planning), early product development, implementation (initial field test), evaluation (revision of test results). The research subject is a virtual preview module with a scientific process skill approach. The object of research is dynamic electrical matter. The product developed was validated by 6 validator experts made up of 3 validator experts, 3 validator media experts. Also seen the response of two physics teachers. Initial field trials were carried out by passing an engagement sheet to 8 students. Research shows that virtual preview modules with a scientific process skill approach with a dynamic electrical circuit application on the electric circuit studios are declared worthy after validation by materials experts, media experts, teachers and student responses. Assessment of material experts with an average percentage of 81.93% in valid/ worthy categories, media with an average percentage of 85.92% in valid/ worthy category, teacher response rate 86.33 % with dancing really well and an 80.32% with the attractive category and the final trial in the large class obtained a percentage of 85.11% with the very interesting categor

Abstract

This study aims to describe the creative thinking of high school students in solving physics problems. Creative thinking skills are crucial for developing long-term success and improving the quality of life. This research is qualitative descriptive research, research methods used in research is a qualitative method, participants in this study were students of class XI SMA IPA 2 and IPA 6, totaling 66 students, data obtained from student's thinking creativity test instrument which is strengthened by data from student and teacher interviews. Data analysis referred to three indicators of creativity used in the study:  fluency, flexibility, and originality.  The results showed that the aspect of fluency exhibits the highest average proportion among the characteristics of creative thinking, while the aspect of originality shows the lowest average proportion. It is necessary to apply various kinds of learning models that are applied to be able to improve students' creative thinking skills. Although there are some students with lower levels of creative thinking, it does not imply that they lack creativity, as creativity can be fostered through other activities.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a physics test instrument based on scientific literacy PISA (Program for International Student Assessment). Development of test instruments using 4D models (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). The test instrument was tested by expert validity with a CVI score of 1. The test instrument tested involved 130 participants. The results of the item validity test showed that the 20 items tested were valid with a Cronbach Alpha reliability value of 0.816 ("very good" category). The discrimination power test results showed that the developed items are in the "good" and "very good" categories. The results of the difficulty level test showed that there was one difficult item, 11 medium questions, and eight easy questions. This research shows that the physics science literacy skills of students who participate in this research show that students achieve good scores on average. Students who participated in this research had the highest achievement in the competence of evaluation and design of scientific investigations and had the same achievement in both the content and the procedural knowledge aspects

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan kinerja siswa dalam praktikum pada materi getaran harmonic. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sample sebanyak 68 siswa kelas X . Instrument penilaian yang digunakan menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan instrumen memperoleh kohen kappa sebesar 1,00 dengan kategori sangat memuaskan (excellent). Hasil reliabilitas pada hasil kinerja siswa di peroleh pada kelas pertama sebesar 0,875 dan pada kelas kedua sebesar 0,857 dalam kategori reliabilitas bagus. Data yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis validasi cohen kappa dan uji reliabilitas. Kemampuan kinerja yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi persiapan kegiatan praktikum berupa merencanakan kegiatan, mempersiapkan alat dan bahan, dan memperhatikan keselamatan kerja, pada pelaksanaan kegiatan praktikum dilakukan berupa merangkai alat dan bahan, melakukan pengamatan,  mencatat data hasil pengamatan dan menganalisis data, pada kegiatan mengakhiri kegiatan praktikum dilakukan penilaian berupa kedisiplinan dalam kegiatan praktikum, membereskan alat, bahan dan tempat setelah kegiatan, laporan praktikum. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis persentase, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa semua tahap kegiatan praktikum di atas 90% berada pada ketegori baik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity and reliability of Google Form-based descriptive questions in assessing the scientific creativity of high school science students. Scientific creativity is an essential skill in science learning that includes flexibility of thinking, originality of ideas and elaboration in developing concepts and solving problems. By increasing the use of digital technology in learning evaluation, Google form becomes one of the platforms that offers convenience in compiling questions, collecting data in real-time and analyzing results systematically. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method by testing the validity and reliability of the descriptive question instrument through statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that the Google Form-based assessment instrument has high validity with an average correlation value above 0.5 and good reliability with a consistency level above 0.7. In addition, this instrument is able to measure students' scientific creativity in answering questions based on three main indicators, namely flexibility, originality, and elaboration. This study shows that Google form can be used as a valid and reliable evaluation tool in assessing the scientific creativity of high school science students, but collaboration with other assessment methods is still needed to optimize the measurement of aspects of idea exploration and problem solving in more depth.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep suhu dan kalor merupakan aspek fundamental dalam fisika yang memiliki peran penting dalam berbagai bidang ilmu dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, masih banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep ini akibat metode pembelajaran yang kurang interaktif dan minimnya eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kreativitas ilmiah dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap suhu dan kalor melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan survei terhadap siswa kelas X SMA yang telah mempelajari suhu dan kalor. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pemahaman konsep dan kuesioner kreativitas ilmiah, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas ilmiah berkontribusi positif terhadap pemahaman konsep suhu dan kalor. Meskipun sebagian besar butir soal dalam instrumen asesmen memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas yang baik, beberapa butir perlu direvisi untuk meningkatkan akurasi pengukuran. Diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, seperti eksperimen laboratorium, simulasi interaktif, dan penerapan konsep dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, agar siswa dapat memahami materi dengan lebih baik.
