Abstract

Young women are a group of people who are vulnerable to the problem of malnutrition in their daily food consumption. Iron deficiency is the most common cause of anemia. The prevalence of anemia among adolescents in the world ranges from 40-88%, of which 22.2% of anemia sufferers in Indonesia are aged ≥ 15 years. Handling anemia with food ingredients is still rarely done even though it has such great potential to prevent anemia, especially in young women. The purpose of implementing this educational activity is to increase knowledge. This activity was carried out from March to August 2023 which began with identification of partner problems, educational activities for young women and Hb checks for adolescents who felt symptoms of anemia. Materials are given through lectures, demonstrations and discussions with participants. Evaluation of the knowledge of young women before education is assessed by conducting a pretest, then given education once for 45-60 minutes. After the education ended, another evaluation was carried out in the form of a posttest with the same questions as the pretest. This activity was attended by 17 students of class XII IPS 1 SMAN 13 Jambi City. The results of the evaluation during the educational process were that the participants seemed enthusiastic about the counseling material, the participants listened to the counseling carefully and the participants asked questions related to the material that was not clear. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed an increase in participants' knowledge from before the activity and after the educational activity by 1-3 points. Screening results were obtained from 17 female students, it was identified that 1 person had anemia with an Hb level of 10.6 g%. Currently, Indonesia is still facing nutritional problems that have a serious impact on the quality of human resources (HR). One of the problems of malnutrition that is still quite high in Indonesia is stunting and wasting in toddlers as well as anemia and chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women. The purpose of this community service is to increase mothers' knowledge about stunting including: understanding, causes, impacts, prevention and treatment of stunting. Methods of community service through lectures, discussions, and anthropometric examination of children. Community service activities are carried out in Legok Village.  The series of activities were carried out from March to August 2023. The target of the dedication was 20 mothers. The result of this service is an increase in mother's knowledge in preventing stunting. It is suggested that the Cadres are expected to be active in assisting the Community Health Centers in running an extension program regarding 1000 HPK as an effort to prevent stunting. Counseling participants should always pay attention to their children's growth and development so as to avoid the problem of stunting which will have an impact on decreasing the child's health status

Abstract

Purpose: This research seeks to create and implement a multidimensional scoring mechanism for assessing sustainability initiatives across several sectors. The research aims to transcend conventional financial measurements by incorporating economic, environmental, social, and governance (EESG) factors, thereby providing a more comprehensive framework for project evaluation. Method: This study employs a literature-based conceptual framework and a composite indicator methodology to create weighted score matrices for three separate case studies: a carbon retrofit program, a regional water infrastructure enhancement, and a circular packaging business. Each case is assessed using twelve indicators and displayed on radar charts to show performance profiles and strategic trade-offs. Findings: The results indicate that each project excels in different areas, highlighting the need for evaluations to consider the situation. The carbon retrofit argument is strong in terms of the environment and governance, while the water infrastructure project is balanced and has a big social impact. The circular packaging project earns high marks for environmental innovation and community engagement, despite not generating as much revenue. Radar charts are a good way to show these profiles, which helps with clear decision-making and comparing different sectors. Novelty/Value: This study advances theory by transforming EESG dimensions into a versatile, reproducible framework. In practice, it provides individuals involved in sustainability planning, investing, and policymaking with a tool to aid their decision-making. The model can be applied across various industries and locations, making it a versatile tool for open evaluation that focuses on driving positive change in line with global sustainability goals.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the banking sector which affects financial performance, because financing is not running smoothly due to debtor arrears due to many people losing their jobs and having difficulty paying financing. The research aims to determine the differences in the financial performance of Islamic banks and conventional banks during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research also uses qualitative research with comparative descriptive objectives. The sample in this study consists of Shariah and conventional banks registered with the Financial Services Authority in 2020, totaling 62 banks, comprising 12 Shariah banks and 50 conventional banks. The analysis technique used is a difference test through independent sample t-test. The research results indicate that there is no difference in the financial performance of both Islamic and conventional banks. Financial performance, as assessed by CAR, NPL/NPF, and FDR/LDR ratios, still falls within the safe category, where banks can meet capital needs, maintain asset quality, and ensure bank liquidity during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, both Shariah and conventional banks have not been able to meet the BOPO and ROA ratio limits due to a decrease in bank income during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of population, Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH), and total regional expenditure on the Social Difficulty Index (IKS) in Pekanbaru City during 2015–2023. Using an explanatory quantitative approach and multiple linear regression, the results show that partially, the population and total regional expenditure have a significant negative effect on the IKS, while DBH has a negative but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, these three variables explain 91% of the variation in IKS. These findings confirm that effective regional expenditure expansion and population growth accompanied by strong economic growth can reduce social difficulties, whereas optimization of DBH utilization still requires improvement.

Abstract

This research examines the mediating effect of Industry 4.0 adoption on the relationship between independent commissioners, institutional ownership, and corporate performance, as measured by Earnings per Share (EPS), in manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2023. In the context of rapid digital transformation, companies are increasingly required to integrate sophisticated technologies, including automation and data analytics, into their operations. Independent commissioners are expected to enhance oversight and ensure that technological initiatives comply with regulatory and ethical frameworks, while institutional investors can reinforce managerial discipline and support long-term innovation. The study incorporates firm size (logarithm of assets) and leverage ratios (DAR and DER) as control variables to assess their impact comprehensively. Employing multiple regression analysis, the findings provide empirical evidence that both independent commissioners and institutional shareholders influence corporate performance not only directly but also indirectly through digital transformation. The results highlight the strategic importance of governance structures and technology adoption for achieving sustainable financial performance in the Industry 4.0 era.
