Abstract

The inclusion of prayer time is one of the valid requirements of prayer as explained in the Qur'an and hadiths of the Prophet (s). The Fajr prayer schedule issued by Wahdah Islamiyah is interesting to review because it is different from the official prayer schedule issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Republic of Indonesia. This difference can have implications for the validity or absence of Fajr prayers and fasting performed by Muslims based on the schedule. This study aimed to analyze the method of determining the Fajr prayer schedule issued by Wahdah Islamiyah. This research is qualitative descriptive research through library study methods and content analysis. The results showed that Wahdah Islamiyah compiled its Fajr prayer schedule with a high-accuracy contemporary accounting method using VSOP87 algorithm. The location of markaz da'wah in Makassar City was chosen as the coordinate point of the calculation of the position of the sun. Wahdah Islamiyah's Fajr prayer schedule uses a sun altitude of 18 degrees below the horizon by adding a two-minute of iḥtiyāṭ. Based on the calculation, the Fajr prayer schedule of Wahdah Islamiyah has been accurately used in the Makassar City area

Abstract

The need for digital-based teaching materials is crucial for students in today's new normal era, including in the religious approach guidance and counseling course. This condition is very prominent and is supported by the teaching lecturer evaluation (TLE) results, which show the low availability of teaching materials (library) for students. For this reason, this service is carried out to accommodate the needs of these students instead of being a form of actualization and responsibility of the author in carrying out the tri dharma of higher education. The service method used is participatory action research, with activity steps including; 1) Student Needs Analysis; 2) Preparation of Teaching Materials; 3) Making Guidance and Counseling E-Modules with a Religious Approach; 4) Dissemination of Guidance and Counseling E-Modules on a Religious Approach. The impact of dedication shows that: 1) Students need an introductory learning video and evaluative exercises on each material topic in the digital module; 2) The development of the E-Module received important input from the teaching team, guidance and counseling experts, and learning media experts as well as students during socialization; 3) Students respond positively to the presence of the Religious Approach Guidance and Counseling E-Module and are interested in programming and participating in these courses in the coming semester. Finally, this dedication has positive implications for the availability of digital-based teaching materials that can be used by guidance and counseling study program students.

Abstract

Religions, for most western scientists, do not develop linearly with science. Because since the beginning, religion has been removed from the world of scientific research. Efforts to approach nature are freed from metaphysical elements, which according to al-Attas, Nature is no longer considered sacred. As a result, it is permissible to act freely against nature. Nature is only limited to the framework of mechanistic philosophy which furthermore becomes the philosophical foundation for the development of modern science. This study examines the implications of Stephen Hawking's Atheist View on Science for the modern education in Indonesia according to The Philosophy of Islamic Education. This research begins with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on a combination of information about the object of research after analyzing Hawking's atheist view on science and its implications for the modern education in Indonesia according to The Philosophy of Islamic Education. This research shows that, according to Hawking, the only instrument that can explain the nature of the universe is science. And in the creation of the universe, there was no need for an entity called God. Consequently, Stephen Hawking's atheist view towards science has profound implications for 1) the purpose of education. With the concept of nature based on atheism, the purpose of education will also potentially remove the element of God from the equation. 2) the curriculum. An education system built on reduced epistemological concepts will end up with the marginalization of metaphysics. 3) the educational approaches. Approaches to science that are based on atheism do not touch the moral-religious aspects. 4) evaluation system. An evaluation system that is based on atheism will also result in an assessment that emphasizes more on cognitive aspects and tends to ignore aspects of morals and manners.

Abstract

Community service (PkM) is one pillar of Tri Dharma in Higher Education. One form of its realization is cooperation between the regional government and universities in the form of implementing KKN that is sustainable and provides mutual benefit (symbiosis of mutualism). The purpose of this PkM was to improve the competence, morals, and attitude of elementary-school-age children in Leang-Leang village through the implementation of a program titled "Virtuous Children's Festival" (FAS) organized by the students of Community Service Program (KKN) III STIBA Makassar, which was directly guided by a Field Supervisor (DPL). As for the forms of competition in FAS those were: Adhan competition, Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ), Musabaqah Hifdzil Quran (MHQ), Islamic Intelligence Quiz (CCI), and Little Da'i. Method of the implementation of the program was analyzing the needs of elementary-school-age children, planning, implementing, and evaluating and following up on activities. The results of PkM are that elementary-school-age children have had basic Islamic knowledge, memorized short letters of Quran and daily prayers, and are enthusiastic in learning Quran.
