Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the CIBMO (Circle Ball Movement) Method in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning on learning motivation, cooperation, and gender equality of elementary school students. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving 32 fourth-grade students of Nagrak Public Elementary School, Cianjur. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and observation sheets before and after the implementation of the CIBMO Method in one learning meeting. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-tests. The results showed an increase in the average value of students' learning motivation, cooperation, and gender equality, and the results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value <0.05, indicating a significant effect. The conclusion of this study shows that the CIBMO Method is effective as an alternative PJOK learning model that is able to increase learning motivation, strengthen cooperation, and encourage gender equality of elementary school students. Keywords: Cooperation, Gender Equality, CIBMO Method, Learning Motivation, Physical Education.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effects of skipping and squat jump exercises and to compare their effects on lower limb power among athletes of the Mitra Utama Volleyball Club. This study employed an experimental method using a two group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 athletes divided into two groups, each receiving skipping or squat jump training for 12 sessions. Lower limb power was measured using a vertical jump test. Data were analyzed using the Liliefors normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test at a significance level of 0.005. The results showed that both skipping and squat jump exercises significantly improved lower limb power. However, no significant difference was found between the two training methods. It can be concluded that skipping and squat jump exercises have relatively equal effectiveness in enhancing lower limb power in volleyball athletes. Keywords: Volleyball, Lower Limb Power, Skipping, Squat Jump.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the participants self-confidence levels and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions using bow modifications in improving archery competence. The study population was participants in the Cimahi Mandıri archery 1 training program, with a sample of 7 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data collection instruments included a self-confidence score questionnaire, an archery score test, and observations of bow modifications. Data Were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the distribution of self Confidence scores and improvements in archery performance, and correlations between variables were conducted. The results showed that the majority of participants (89,1%) had self-confidence score of 21.in the moderate to low category. After the intervention, there was a significant improvement in archery skills, with bow modifications proving effective. The conclusion is that the intervention had a positive effect on improving both self-confidence and archery performance, although there were technical challenges that needed to be addressed. Recommendations are directed at improving instruments and training implementation to optimize learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Teacher Performance Assessment (PKG) program in enhancing the professional competence of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) teachers in Cimahi City. Using a mixed-method approach with the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product), the study involved 30 PJOK teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings reveal that the PKG program was not optimally implemented across all four dimensions. In the context dimension, the program's goals did not fully align with teacher needs. Input aspects, including training and infrastructure, were insufficient. The process dimension showed inadequate socialization and implementation. In the product dimension, the impact on teacher competence was still limited. It is concluded that the PKG program requires continuous training, structured evaluation, and more effective communication to achieve its intended goals.

Abstract

Background Problems: Intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligences are believed to influence student learning achievement. However, the specific impact of these intelligences on physical education and, more specifically, on pencak silat learning outcomes remains unexplored. Research Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence on students' learning achievement in pencak silat. Methods: This research method uses descriptive quantitative causality. We sampled 96 students from a high school in Bekasi City. This study used four instruments: (i) Sternberg triarchic abilities test, (ii) global emotional intelligence test, (iii) spiritual intelligence test, and (iv) pencak silat learning achievement using Bloom's taxonomy. We analysed the data using descriptive statistics, specifically the F-test and T-test. Findings and Results: The study revealed that intellectual, spiritual, and emotional intelligence all play a significant role in enhancing students' learning achievement in pencak silat within physical education settings. Among these, emotional intelligence emerged as the most influential factor, surpassing both intellectual and spiritual intelligence in its impact on academic success. This finding underscores the critical role of emotional regulation and awareness in mastering complex physical and mental skills in pencak silat. Conclusions: The findings highlight the importance of strengthening all aspects of intelligence in education. This research brings a fresh perspective to the field of physical education, highlighting the increasing prominence of emotional intelligence in learning outcomes. It demonstrates the need for the development of emotional intelligence in the context of physical education, particularly in relation to pencak silat. For a more comprehensive understanding, we can conduct further research to investigate the interaction of these intelligences with other variables such as motivation, learning environment, and teaching methods.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate an application-based training model that integrates technical skill development and water confidence in freestyle swimming. A research and development approach was employed using the ADDIE framework, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The developed model was implemented through a mobile application featuring progressive freestyle swimming drills, visual demonstrations, and confidence-oriented learning activities. Participants consisted of 20 freestyle swimmers selected through simple random sampling. Model validity was examined through expert review using Aiken’s V coefficient, while practicality was assessed based on responses from coaches and swimmers. Effectiveness was evaluated using a pretest–posttest design and analyzed with nonparametric statistics. The results indicated high content validity and practicality of the training model. Significant improvements were observed in overall freestyle swimming skills following implementation, with notable gains in breathing coordination, arm-leg coordination, and movement efficiency. Improvements in observable confidence-related behaviors, such as more relaxed breathing patterns and stable body alignment, were also identified. These findings suggest that integrating skill-oriented drills with confidence-enhancing strategies within an application-based framework can effectively support motor learning in aquatic environments. In conclusion, the proposed training model offers a theoretically grounded and practically feasible approach to improving freestyle swimming skills and water confidence. The integration of digital technology, motor learning principles, and confidence-oriented pedagogy provides a valuable contribution to swimming education and coaching practice.
