Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the meaning of the literacy movement in Buru district, where the movement's stated objective is to increase human resources. The issue is focused on the implementation process, which has been underway for three years but has yet to demonstrate the program's significance and impact on the community's real conditions. The approach taken in this study is qualitative, and the number of informants interviewed will be 15. These informants will be chosen purposefully, with the understanding that respondents will be considered related parties in order to accomplish the research objectives. The research was conducted in Namlea village, Buru district, with informants that included village officials, BPD members, representatives of community leaders, traditional leaders, and religious leaders, as well as community representatives with competencies relevant to the research objectives. This study collects data about the literacy movement's implementation through observation and in-depth interviews. In this research, I employ qualitative data analysis in accordance with Miles, Huberman, and Spradley's concepts. This study concludes that the program-based literacy movement has not yet fully grasped the meaning; people's awareness of literacy has focused on participation levels but not on activities that promote relaxation, protect the brain, prevent disease, and prolong life.

Abstract

The sad phenomenon regarding the current shift in the Buru regional language is a very dominant factor threatening the extinction of its people's identity. Of the total population of 132,100 people in Buru district, only about 14,000 know the Buru language, and only about 5,000 people are able and active in communicating using the Buru language. This study aims to examine the condition of regional dialects in Indonesia, especially on the island of Buru, which has experienced a shift that has an impact on extinction, what are the factors that affect the destruction of the Buru regional language, and what are the first steps to prevent the extinction. This study applied a qualitative approach with phenomenology design to describe the phenomena that occur in connection with the shift in regional languages on the island of Buru. The results found that the language shift phenomenon and the threat of extinction of the Buru language in Buru district are increasing day by day due to the dominance of the Indonesian language and the development of information technology, and the lack of public and government awareness in preserving local languages as their identity.

Abstract

In recent years there has been a significant change in the learning areas of technology courses and those of the sciences. The introduction of STEM courses in the school at all levels has greatly helped young students to understand the essence and practice of science. An important point in this change was the participation of students in such STEM programs which changed the data in education worldwide. Although the introduction of STEM has become major for the empowerment of students and their shift to science, it is now a very important tool in the hands of teachers to create studies and presentations with their students in many different subjects, even in theoretical lessons. This has important implications for children's abilities in the learning process, in the approach to scientific fields and in the field of Physiology. In the present research, the results of the implementation of STEM programs in schools are studied and analyzed in relation to the improvement of the parameters of students' perception.

Data collection techniques in this study used listening techniques, note-taking techniques, and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques in this study include data display, data reduction, verification, and data inference. The results showed that the types of sound changes in Bugis, Toraja, and Mandarin include lenisi, sound addition, metathesis, and assimilation. Apocope lenisi type is more commonly found in Bugis, Toraja and Mandar languages than syncope. In sound addition, the most common data found were prosthesis data in Bugis and Mandarin. The metathesis type is only found in the comparison of Toraja and Mandarin, and only regressive assimilation types are found in Toraja and Mandarin. Abstract

The education of students in the Natural Sciences is a special one between the theory of experimentation and reconstruction and self-control for knowledge as it has passed through the process of learning and identifying the student's information through the learning process. There is an important relationship between the theory of experimentation and reconstruction and self-control for knowledge through the learning process. This paper presents and analyzes the research results of the thoughts of 180 students from a Department of Informatics and Telecommunications who participated in Physics experiments, workshops. The students practiced and trained through real 3D models that created especially for the theoretical lessons of physics in Telecommunications and Electromagnetism. The study of the results shows that the use of real three-dimensional education models in education can help to understand natural phenomena and laws in the fullest understanding of the theory of lessons which probably present a gap between the experimental process and the theoretical presentation. The real three-dimensional models in learning as learning models are deemed necessary and there is always a relative limitation in their use either from the time allocated to the program. Students would like to appear such models in the educational programs in their schools especially in the modern environment where the modern technologies may sometimes do not achieve critical thought, personal perception and or educational ability especially in the physical sciences that is a part of our daily life.
