Abstract

Digitalization has a very broad influence on human life, one of which is the internet as a form of mass communication and the widespread use of the internet has an impact on human life, especially juveniles. Therefore, appropriate ethics are needed in its use. The aim of this trial is to provide assistance in increasing understanding of ethics in digitalization for students in the Guidance and Counseling Study Program. This service is carried out through 4 stages, namely; the foundation laying or building foundation phase, the research planning phase, the data collection and analysis phase, and the follow-up phase on research results. The result of this service is that students can increase their understanding of digitalization ethics. Based on these results, it can be concluded that one way to increase students' understanding of ethics in digitalization is by providing appropriate assistance, namely by integrating cultural values into its implementation. So it can be recommended for future researchers to continue the results of this service in the form of providing actions or interventions that can be practiced directly by students.

Abstract

Sexual harassment in the form of catcalling is prevalent. This research aims to delve into the factors that contribute to catcalling behavior towards women and develop strategies to minimize its occurrence. Employing a literature review methodology, the study gathers information and data from relevant sources pertaining to the issue. Unlike previous research that solely focused on catcalling forms, this study analyzes contributing factors and mitigation strategies. The findings reveal that catcalling manifests in various forms of verbal and non-verbal communication, including whistling, calling, teasing, touching, and, in the most extreme cases, following, insulting, and assaulting the victim. Analysis of contributing factors highlights the pervasive role of patriarchal culture in society, which places power in the hands of men and objectifies women. Additionally, perpetrators of catcalling are driven by a range of psychological factors, such as attraction, a sense of power over women, self-gratification, and a desire for amusement with friends. Efforts to minimize verbal and non-verbal communication in catcalling, stemming from the understanding that catcalling is a form of sexual harassment, include ignoring the perpetrator and pretending to be preoccupied. While silence can be an alternative, resistance from the victim is more effective.

Abstract

The order of human life started from the birth of a parenting style given by parents. Parenting plays a role in education and teaching to control and regulate children’s lives during the span of their development. Authoritarian parenting is part of the three types of parenting styles proposed by Hurlock. The characteristics of this form of authoritarian parenting are strict controls, strict discipline, and a lack of freedom in making decisions for children. Judging from the form of aspects arising from authoritarian parenting tend to lead to negative personality forms. Therefore, the relationship between parenting in the formation of one’s personality is very close. Parenting is the thing that underlies the formation of a person’s character and personality for the future. The good or bad of a person’s personality can be seen from the upbringing received from both parents and the environment in which the individual grows and develops.
