Abstract

Dental caries is a condition that can be experienced by anyone and can appear on one or more tooth surfaces. If left untreated, caries can develop deeper, from the enamel to the dentin, and reach the pulp. This disease is one of the most common dental health problems in children and is a major cause of tooth loss at an early age. The high incidence of dental caries in children is influenced by various factors, including bad habits in maintaining dental hygiene and unhealthy eating patterns. The importance of maintaining dental and oral health must be introduced from an early age so that children understand how to maintain dental hygiene properly. Educational activities regarding dental and oral health maintenance aim to increase awareness and knowledge of preschool children, such as those carried out in the program at Istiqbal Ngagel Rejo Kindergarten. The activity method used was counseling (lectures, questions and answers, and demonstrations of brushing teeth) using phantom teeth, toothbrushes, and flip charts. The results of the activity were an increase in the knowledge of preschool children at Istiqbal Kindergarten from the less to sufficient category. However, it did not reach the planned target, namely that the majority received the good category.

Abstract

Implementing science learning based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is a strategic effort to improve the quality of education in elementary schools. HOTS itself refers to higher-order thinking skills that include analysis, evaluation, and creativity, which are crucial for equipping students to face the challenges of the 21st century. In the context of science learning, the application of HOTS not only requires teachers to deliver material factually but also develops students' abilities to connect concepts, solve problems, and examine scientific phenomena critically and creatively. The purpose of this study is to evaluate HOTS-based science learning in elementary schools (SD) based on Permendikbudristek No. 16 of 2022, which includes learning planning and implementation. This research is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. The research was conducted at SD Laboratorium UNG in phases B and C, namely grades III, IV, V, and VI, consisting of 12 classes. Based on the research findings on the planning and implementation of HOTS-based science learning at UNG Laboratory Elementary School, it can be concluded that overall, HOTS implementation has been successful, although several aspects still require strengthening. Overall, HOTS-based learning at UNG Laboratory Elementary School has shown positive results, particularly in terms of learning media and student engagement strategies. However, several aspects that need strengthening include HOTS assessment and the integration of lesson plans to ensure better coordination between objectives and assessments, enabling students to maximize their higher-order thinking skills. ABSTRAKPelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA yang berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) merupakan salah satu upaya strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah dasar. HOTS sendiri merujuk pada kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang meliputi analisis, evaluasi, dan kreasi, yang sangat penting untuk membekali siswa menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21. Dalam konteks pembelajaran IPA, penerapan HOTS tidak hanya menuntut guru untuk menyampaikan materi secara faktual, tetapi juga mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam menghubungkan konsep, memecahkan masalah, serta mengkaji fenomena ilmiah secara kritis dan kreatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi pembelajaran IPA berbasis HOTS di Sekolah Dasar (SD) berdasarkan Permendikbudristek No. 16 Tahun 2022 yang meliputi perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Laboratorium UNG pada jenjang fase B dan C, yaitu kelas III, IV, V dan VI yang terdiri dari 12 kelas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA berbasis HOTS di SD Laboratorium UNG, dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara keseluruhan, implementasi HOTS telah diterapkan dengan baik, meskipun terdapat beberapa aspek yang masih memerlukan penguatan. Secara keseluruhan, pembelajaran berbasis HOTS di SD Laboratorium UNG menunjukkan hasil yang positif, terutama dalam hal media pembelajaran dan strategi keterlibatan siswa. Namun, beberapa aspek a yang perlu diperkuat adalah penilaian HOTS dan keterpaduan rencana pembelajaran agar tujuan dan asesmen dapat lebih terkoordinasi dengan baik, sehingga siswa dapat berkembang dengan lebih maksimal dalam keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi.

Abstract

Pangkalan Bun, the capital of West Kotawaringin Regency, is shaped by two primary urban centers that significantly influence its economic and social dynamics: the governmental area along HM Rafii Street and the commercial hub around Indrasari Market and Pangeran Antasari Street. This study aims to assess the relative dominance of each center in influencing their surrounding areas. A quantitative research approach was applied, combining literature review and comparative analysis to evaluate both central business districts (CBDs) using Gross Income Multiplier (GIM) and government-assessed property value (NJOP) as key indicators. The findings indicate that the Indrasari Market area currently holds a stronger economic influence. However, the HM Rafii area shows promising growth potential due to its strategic proximity to Iskandar Airport and Kumai Port. With the city’s continuing development, both centers are expected to play increasingly complementary roles, contributing to a balanced influence on Pangkalan Bun’s future urban and socio-economic landscape.

Abstract

The leadership management mentoring program for female-headed households, implemented through the Women Empowerment School in Hutamonu Village (Tanah Wangi), Boliyohuto Subdistrict, Boalemo Regency, was designed to enhance women’s leadership capacity in managing both family and community affairs. Female-headed households often face multiple challenges, including limited decision-making power, financial constraints, and restricted participation in community development. Strengthening their leadership and management capacity is therefore essential to improving family welfare and fostering inclusive rural development. The objectives of the program were: (a) to strengthen the leadership capacity of female-headed households in managing families and communities; (b) to increase women’s awareness and abilities in decision-making and financial management; and (c) to improve the overall quality of life for women and their families in Hutamonu Village. The program was implemented through leadership training and mentoring activities, employing a survey research design with a qualitative approach, and the findings were presented in a descriptive narrative form. Data were collected through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of both individual and collective changes. The results indicate that the program significantly improved the leadership skills of female-headed households, enhanced their awareness and decision-making capacity, and strengthened their financial management abilities. Furthermore, the program contributed to raising the quality of life for women and their families, while also increasing their participation in community development initiatives. In conclusion, the mentoring program demonstrates that targeted leadership and empowerment interventions can foster sustainable improvements in women’s capacities and promote equitable rural development.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop the KOTPEN (Knowledge Box) learning media assisted by AI for the Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject in the 4th grade of elementary school. The research method used is a development research method with the ADDIE model. Based on validation results from experts and users, the Kotpen media received an average percentage score of 93.6% and was deemed highly suitable for use by teachers and students in elementary schools. In the practicality test of the Kotpen media, the researcher used a teacher observation sheet instrument, and the total score obtained was 38 out of a maximum score of 40, with an average score of 95%. Thus, the practicality percentage of using Kotpen media in learning reached 95%, which falls into the "very practical" category. In terms of the effectiveness of the Kotpen media, during its implementation in the 4th grade of SDN 18 Dungingi, teachers distributed pre-test and post-test questions to measure the media's effectiveness. The total pre-test score reached 36%, while the total post-test score reached 80%. The N-Gain calculation showed a score of 0.689, which falls into the "Moderate" category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Kotpen media is feasible, practical, and effective for use in elementary schools.Keywords: Learning Media, Kotpen (Knowledge Box), IPAS Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran KOTPEN (Kotak Pengetahuan) berbantuan AI pada muatan IPAS kelas IV di Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh para ahli dan pengguna, media Kotpen memperoleh hasil rekapitulasi nilai rata-rata persentase 93,6% dan dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan oleh guru dan siswa di SD. Dalam uji kepraktisan media kotpen, peneliti menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi guru dengan total skor yang diperoleh adalah 38 dari skor maksimum 40, dengan rata-rata skor 95%. Dengan demikian, persentase kepraktisan penggunaan media kotpen dalam pembelajaran mencapai 95%, yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis. Dalam  keefektifan media kotpen, pada saat penerapan media di kelas IV SDN 18 Dungingi, guru membagikan soal pretest dan postets untuk mengukur keefektifan media. Total  nilai pretest mencapai 36%, sedangkan total nilai postest mencapai 80%. Perhitungan N-Gain menunjukkan nilai sebesar 0,689, yang masuk dalam kategori “Sedang”. Dengan hasil rekapitulasi ini maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa media kotpen layak, praktis dan efektif digunakan di SD.Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Kotpen (Kotak Pengetahuan), IPAS

Abstract

Tooth loss is one of the problems that often occurs in the elderly and has an adverse impact starting with a decrease in speech, chewing and decreased cognitive function. Impaired cognitive function of the elderly is due to difficulties in the process of chewing food, as well as the initial procedure for digesting it where there is an expulsion into a bolus to support the swallowing stage. Initial survey findings in August 2023 found a high percentage of the elderly population as much as (60%) of the elderly who have <20 teeth functioning at the Posyandu Lansia Desa Manggis, Panggul, Trenggalek Regency. This type of research is analytic quantitative observational. Using a survey method with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were elderly people aged 60 years and over at the Manggis Village Elderly Posyandu, Panggul, Trenggalek Regency with a total of 40 elderly people. The data collection instruments used were MMSE questionnaire examination sheets and dental examination observation sheets. The data analysis technique used was the Spearmen correlation test. The results of this study are cognitive function based on gender has a normal cognitive function. The level of tooth loss in the elderly based on gender has a high category which means that the level of tooth loss in elderly men and women has a number of functioning teeth <20 teeth. The conclusion is that tooth loss is related to cognitive function in the elderly at Posyandu Lansia Desa Manggis, Panggul, Trenggalek Regency.

Abstract

Project Based Learning (PjBL) model is a model launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The research that has been carried out has produced products in the form of 3 books entitled: Project Based Learning on thematic learning in elementary schools in grades IV, V and VI. For this reason, through this KKN-MBKM activity, a trial was carried out at the school where the KKN-MBKM was held. Students involved in teaching at school relate to the contents of textbooks and also other activities that support the converted courses. The results of these activities are in the form of activity implementation documents such as evaluation results data, student questionnaire results data, observation data and also photos and videos of the learning process. This data will later be processed independently into a research report. Conclusions from the implementation of KKN-MBKM in the Social Village, Paguyaman District, Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province, carried out 3 (three) main activities, namely: (1) Initial observations in the Social Village and at SDN 3 Paguyaman, SDN 4 Paguyaman and MI Fastabiqull Khairat Paguyaman; (2) Implementation of the core program in the form of project based learning in classes IV, V and IV at SDN 3 Paguyaman, SDN 4 Paguyaman and MI Fastabiqull Khairat Paguyaman; (3) Implementation of additional program activities in the form of: morning exercise together providing IT training to teachers at SDN 03 Paguyaman, gymnastics with village officials, mobile legend tournament activities, Free Fire Tournament, village Trofeo cup soccer, Prom Night activities, involvement in August 17 celebration, community service at the Social Village Office, community service at tourist attractions, attending the Fastabiqul Khairat ta'lim assembly, assisting with administrative activities at the Social Village Office; (4) The KKN-MBKM village development that has been carried out can increase the Main Performance Indicators  (MPI) of Gorontalo State University, namely in the form of MPI 2 (students learn outside of campus), MPI 5 (publication/application of lecturer research), and MPI 6 (department partnerships).

Abstract

Peningkatan Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) dikaitkan dengan perubahan gaya hidup yang disebabkan oleh modernisasi, urbanisasi, globalisasi, dan pertumbuhan penduduk yang berkembang sangat pesat. Faktor risiko terjadinya PTM termasuk merokok, kurang olahraga, pola makan yang tidak sehat, dan konsumsi alkohol. Perubahan fisiologis dalam tubuh manusia yang disebabkan oleh faktor risiko ini dapat menyebabkan tekanan darah tinggi, gula darah tinggi, kolesterol darah tinggi, dan obesitas. Selain itu, PTM terjadi dalam jangka waktu yang cukup lama, sehingga perawatan terus menerus diperlukan. 70% kematian di seluruh dunia disebabkan oleh PTM, termasuk Indonesia, penyakit diabetes melitus dan hipertensi adalah penyebab kematian paling utama. Perlu strategi dan inovasi dalam pelaksanaan promosi pencegahan PTM. Peran kader kesehatan yang dioptimalkan untuk melaksanakan promosi pencegahan PTM melalui manajemen kunjungan rumah merupakan salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan di masyarakat. Tujuan pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengoptimalkan peran kader dalam promosi pencegahan PTM melalui kunjungan rumah. Metode pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan strategi pemberdayan kader dengan tahapan pelatihan kader, focus group discussion, implementasi manajemen kunjungan rumah, dan evaluasi. Dari rangkaian kegiatan yang dilaksanakan bersama 30 kader kesehatan, didapatkan hasil peningkatan pengetahuan kader 76,6%, dan 100% kader melaksanakan promosi pencegahan PTM dalam rangkaian kegiatan manajemen kunjungan rumah. Pemberdayaan kader dapat memotivasi untuk meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat untuk melakukan tindakan promotif dan pereventif sebagai upaya pencegahan PTM terutama hipertensi dan diabates melitus.

Abstract

The low academic performance of fourth-grade students at SDN 3 Suwawa Selatan, particularly in the IPAS subject, served as the background for this study. Initial observations revealed that most students had not achieved the Minimum Learning Mastery Criteria (KKTP), largely due to monotonous teaching methods and the limited use of educational technology. This study aimed to enhance students’ learning outcomes by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model supported by interactive digital media, specifically Google Sites. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. In the first cycle, only 39.13% of students met the mastery criteria. However, after revising the learning strategy in the second cycle, the number of students who achieved mastery significantly increased to 82.61%. These results indicate that the integration of PBL with Google Sites successfully fostered student engagement and improved conceptual understanding. Therefore, this approach is considered effective in improving learning outcomes in IPAS for elementary school students. ABSTRAKRendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas IV di SDN 3 Suwawa Selatan, khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPAS, menjadi latar belakang dilaksanakannya penelitian ini. Berdasarkan temuan awal, mayoritas siswa belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran (KKTP), yang disebabkan oleh metode pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi serta minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang didukung oleh media digital interaktif berupa Google Sites. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing mencakup tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil dari siklus I menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan hanya sebesar 39,13%. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan strategi pada siklus II, persentase ketuntasan meningkat signifikan menjadi 82,61%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL berbantuan Google Sites mampu mendorong keterlibatan siswa secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran serta meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual mereka secara lebih bermakna. Dengan demikian, pendekatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi IPAS.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning and implementation of differentiated learning in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at State Elementary School No. 61 East Kota, Gorontalo City. This research uses a descriptive approach with quantitative methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, including learning planning documents (teaching modules) and primary data from observation sheets and interview guides. The results showed that differentiated learning has been implemented in the planning and implementation of IPAS learning. In the planning, the integration of differentiated learning reached 87.5% in the teaching module components, 75% in the learning steps, and 83.3% in the attachments to the teaching module instruments. In the implementation, teachers have applied differentiation of content, process, and product, with an average score of 80.5%. However, there are several aspects that still need to be optimized, such as the variation of student learning products. Overall, differentiated learning has the potential to improve the quality of IPAS learning by accommodating student diversity. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di Sekolah Dasar Negeri No. 61 Kota Timur, Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, yang meliputi dokumen perencanaan pembelajaran (modul ajar) serta data primer dari lembar observasi dan panduan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berdiferensiasi telah diimplementasikan dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPAS. Dalam perencanaan, integrasi pendekatan berdiferensiasi mencapai 87,5% pada komponen modul ajar, 75% pada langkah-langkah pembelajaran, dan 83,3% pada lampiran instrumen modul ajar. Dalam pelaksanaan, guru telah menerapkan diferensiasi konten, proses, dan produk, dengan rata-rata skor 80,5%. Namun, terdapat beberapa aspek yang masih perlu dioptimalkan, seperti variasi produk hasil belajar siswa. Secara keseluruhan, pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berpotensi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPAS dengan mengakomodasi keragaman siswa.
