Abstract

This research examines critical discourse surrounding body positivity and women's sexuality on social media, with a focus on the Instagram account @ririebogar. The account was chosen because it has a significant influence on shaping the body positivity discourse among young women in Indonesia and actively discusses issues related to sexuality. Utilizing Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis framework, this study aims to examine how these narratives reflect, negotiate, and contest dominant norms related to body and sexuality in Indonesia. Data was collected from 25 posts during the period from January to December 2024, employing an in-depth qualitative approach. The findings suggest that this account actively challenges traditional beauty standards that often harm women, promoting self-acceptance through strong affirmative language and engaging visual representations. Text analysis reveals deliberate lexical choices that sharply contrast normative narratives with the transformative narratives offered by this account. The identified discursive practices demonstrate structured content production strategies that effectively leverage the mechanisms and features of digital platforms. However, this research also reveals the complexities that arise between empowerment and commodification in the context of evolving digital capitalism. Overall, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of social media as both a space of resistance and an arena for the reproduction of hegemonic ideologies related to women's bodies and sexuality. This research is expected to provide new insights and a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamic relationship between social media, body culture, and women's sexuality in Indonesia.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a type of a degenerative disorder that affects the body's ability to make or use insulin. The resistance of insulin may affect the decline of GLUT-1 expression of diabetic muscle, causing impaired glucose uptake. Dynamic concentric activity is one of the activity models based on muscle-contraction-type activity. This study used experimental method. The instrument in this study was a treadmill (brand: modified columbus treadmill) with 10-degree slope (uphill), with the velocity of 21 cm/sec (the speed options showed on the treadmill), and the duration of the exercise was 16 minutes and 30 seconds (measured using stopwatch). In this study, there were 3 groups of samples, Normal (K0), DM (K1), and DM + Dynamics Concentric (K2). Based on statistical results of correlation value p=0.00 (p<0.05), there was significant correlation between blood sugar level and GLUT-1. Dynamic concentric activity for diabetics had an effect in increasing the amount of GLUT-1, resulting in decreased blood glucose levels.

Abstract

The use of institutional repositories as part of digital library information systems has become essential in supporting access to academic resources in higher education. The Usaktiana Repository, developed by Trisakti University, is expected to assist final-year students in finding and using undergraduate thesis references more effectively. However, several issues related to system performance and content quality have impacted the user experience. This research seeks to examine how system quality and local content quality impact the satisfaction of final-year students from the Faculty of Law at Trisakti University in utilizing the Usaktiana Repository. A quantitative method was employed through a survey involving 91 participants. The study adopted the DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model as a conceptual framework to evaluate the effectiveness of the academic information system. The findings from the regression analysis indicate that system quality and local content quality each have a positive and significant influence on user satisfaction, both when examined separately and together. The coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 46.4% indicates that the combination of the two variables explains nearly half of the variation in user satisfaction. Partial contribution analysis shows that local content quality has a greater influence than system quality. These findings suggest that students prioritize access to relevant, high-quality academic content over technical system features. Therefore, developing a digital repository requires an integrated approach that emphasizes both reliable system performance and the availability of high-quality local academic content.

Abstract

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has transformed the dynamics of consumer–brand relationships in digital environments. In such contexts, brand authenticity becomes a critical factor influencing consumer perception, trust, and evaluation. This study aims to analyze consumer perceptions of brand authenticity within the Shopee platform by integrating qualitative thematic analysis and quantitative logistic regression. The research employed a mixed-method approach using 2,937 Shopee user reviews consisting of review texts, ratings, and sentiment labels. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify dimensions of brand authenticity reflected in consumer narratives, while logistic regression was used to examine the influence of rating on sentiment polarity. The findings reveal that rating significantly affects the probability of positive sentiment. Furthermore, brand authenticity in Shopee is constructed through three dominant dimensions: credibility (consistency between product description and reality), integrity (transparency and system reliability), and continuity (consistency of user experience over time). The results indicate that authenticity in e-commerce is experience-based rather than solely identity-based, where user-generated reviews and ratings function as credibility signals under conditions of information asymmetry. This study contributes to the literature by extending the concept of brand authenticity into a digital marketplace context and provides practical implications for e-commerce platforms in managing system consistency, transparency, and consumer trust.
