Abstract

This research explains the background of the transmigration of Javanese tribes to East Kalimantan, namely to Bangun Rejo Village in 1980-1983. This research aims to find out the factors behind their transmigration and the dynamics they faced during the transmigration process. The method used is the historical method, including heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with data in the form of the phenomenon of the Soeharto era transmigration program and population distribution. The results showed that transmigration was a national effort to overcome poverty and develop inland areas as well as equalize the population throughout Indonesia. Transmigrants were given land to cultivate and financial support for one year. The program aims to provide new opportunities for those who want to build a life in developing areas. This research also illustrates the challenges of transmigrants' adaptation and integration with local communities.

Abstract

This research the aims to analyze the implementation of audio-visual media based history learning in the independence curriculum in class XI of SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda. This research uses a case study method through observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of audio-visual media in class XI of SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda develops understanding of complex material and learning motivation. Implementation obstacles encountered with audio-visual media include a lack of clarity in material delivery due to its too fast, unclear discussion and relevant material, limitations in technology functionality, and lack of sosial intercation between students and teachers. The perceptions of class XI SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda students show that this audio-visual media causes the level of interest of students to vary, with most being very interested while some others are less enthusiastic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of audio-visual-based History learning media in grades XI and XII of SMA Negeri 2 Loa Kulu, students' perceptions of its use, and the obstacles faced. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, data collected through observation, structured interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that audio-visual media such as History videos, PowerPoint, and digital content create interactive learning. Students' perceptions of audio-visual-based history learning media show good interest. The use of this media increases student involvement in the learning process and helps them understand history material in a concrete and interesting way. Students find it easier to understand the material and are more enthusiastic about participating in learning. However, in its implementation there are still obstacles, such as limited technological facilities, dependence on internet connections, and interference from classmates.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development and characterization of adhesives based on Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA), Tannic Acid (TA), and Cellulose Nanofibre (CNF). The main objective is to optimize the temperature used in the production process. Phenol-formaldehyde and other synthetic adhesives frequently encounter environmental obstacles, necessitating the search for more ecologically sound alternatives. TA, a naturally occurring polyphenolic molecule, has significant potential as an eco-friendly glue ingredient. This study assesses the impact of temperature fluctuations (30, 45, 60, 75, and 90°C) during the glue manufacturing process on its mechanical characteristics, specifically emphasizing shear stress. Experiments were conducted at a rotational speed of 1500 revolutions per minute (RPM) for 30 minutes. The results indicated that the adhesive performed best at 90°C, achieving a maximum shear stress value of 3.41 MPa. The results demonstrated a significant enhancement in the shear strength of the bioadhesive, exhibiting an approximately sixfold increase as the processing temperature was elevated from 30°C to 90°C. Microstructural analysis reveals that the voids formed during the mixing process decrease at this specific temperature. The results indicate that elevated temperatures lead to a significant reduction in void formation. The FTIR measurement revealed the absorption of hydroxyl groups around 3305 cm⁻¹, suggesting the presence of robust crosslinking. Furthermore, elevated temperatures lead to a significant reduction of free OH- groups within the bioadhesive. The PVA/TA/CNF adhesive possesses extensive potential for application in industries that necessitate adhesives with exceptional strength. The study is anticipated to offer comprehensive understanding of how to improve the manufacturing process of TA-based adhesives, and its impact on the creation of adhesive materials that are more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology is driving the increasing need for reliable, secure, and scalable corporate network infrastructure, especially in higher education institutions. Building E of Sari Mulia University as a new facility to support academic and operational activities need network system that is able to provide fast, stable, and secure data connectivity. This research discusses the planning and construction of an integrated corporate network in Building E, Sari Mulia University. The methods used include network needs analysis, network architecture design, infrastructure implementation, system configuration and security, and network testing and documentation. The design results show that the network built is able to provide stable wired and wireless connectivity, support centralized network management, and ensure data security through the implementation of network segmentation, firewalls, and Virtual Private Network (VPN). In addition, the resulting network design is scalable so that it can be developed according to the needs of the university in the future. Thus, the designed corporate network is expected to be able to support academic and operational activities optimally and support the digital transformation of Universitas Sari Mulia in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Posyandu (Integrated Healthcare Center) is a primary health facility that plays a vital role in monitoring growth and providing immunizations for toddlers. However, at the Bunga Teratai Posyandu in Lokon Hamlet, the decision-making process regarding toddler vaccination coverage is still conducted manually and remains suboptimal. This can lead to inaccuracies in vaccination prioritization and data collection. This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) to assist Posyandu cadres and health officers in determining toddler vaccination coverage more quickly and accurately. The method used in this system is SMART (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique), which operates by assigning weights to predefined criteria, such as the toddler's age, body temperature, and vaccine type. The system is designed to process data structurally and provide recommendations based on the highest calculated values. The results of this study indicate that the SMART method can effectively rank vaccination priorities, thereby facilitating more efficient data management and decision-making for health officers at Bunga Teratai Posyandu.

Abstract

Water transport once played a central role in Samarinda when road connectivity was still limited, especially before the construction of the Mahakam Bridge. This study examines the transformation from water to land transportation in Samarinda during 1980–1998 using the historical method through heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The findings show that the bridge, together with expanding road infrastructure and transport technology, made land travel faster and more efficient than river modes such as ferries, tambangan, and klotok. As a result, everyday mobility shifted toward land routes, river transport patronage declined, and the income of boat operators decreased. The case demonstrates how urban infrastructure reconfigured accessibility, travel behavior, and the socio-economic position of traditional river transport.
