Abstract

Kota Bandung merupakan salah satu wilayah yang memiliki tingkat kesejahteraan yang baik jika dilihat dari pengeluaran rumah tangganya. Menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik tahun 2018 dan 2019, rata-rata lebih dari 60% pengeluaran rumah tangga di Kota Bandung didominasi oleh pengeluaran non pangan. Terjadinya pandemi covid-19 membuat masyarakat banyak yang mengalami penurunan pendapatan yang akan berdampak pada tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat yang menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik serta pengeluaran rumah tangga responden penerima bantuan. Penelitian dilakukan di Kelurahan Cipamokolan, Kecamatan Rancasari, Kota Bandung, pada bulan Februari-Maret 2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan analisis deskriptif untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan pengeluaran rumah tangga responden penerima bantuan sesuai tahapan keluarga sejahtera menurut Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN)selama pandemi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas responden berjenis kelamin perempuan, berusia 41-50 tahun, pendidikan terakhir SMA, tidak bekerja dan memiliki 4-6 anggota keluarga. Pengeluaran rumah tangga keluarga sejahtera I dan keluarga sejahtera II didominasi oleh pengeluaran pangan sebanyak 58,4% dan 56,3% dari total pengeluaran, sementara pengeluaran rumah tangga keluarga sejahtera III didominasi oleh pengeluaran non pangan sebanyak 50,8% dari total pengeluaran. Pengeluaran pangan tertinggi pada keluarga sejahtera I dan II yaitu kelompok beras, telur dan ayam sedangkan pengeluaran pangan tertinggi keluarga sejahtera III yaitu kelompok beras, sayur dan buah. Pengeluaran non pangan keluarga sejahtera I, II, dan III didominasi oleh pengeluaran listrik dan pulsa.

Abstract

The meticulous harvesting process and appropriate post-harvest techniques play pivotal roles in preserving the quality and health benefits of white tea. This careful approach maintains the bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, caffeine, gallic acid, Epigallocationchin (EGC), Epigallocationchin gallate (EGCG), and Epicatechin gallate (ECG), integral to white tea's health benefits. The stability of catechin content in tea plants is greatly influenced by the environment (clone, plant age, leaf age, altitude, temperature, humidity, processing, and pH when storing dry tea). In Indonesia, the raw materials used to produce white tea are mostly pecco from the superior GMB clone Assamica variety which has high polyphenol content (14.83 – 15.43% dry weight). To increase polyphenol levels, the treatment that needs to be considered is the provision of optimum and appropriate fertilizer. The highest catechin content comes from plucking in summer and spring season. Subsequently, controlled post-harvest processes, including controlled withering and drying, safeguard the integrity of active compounds like catechins as antioxidants in white tea, mitigating free radicals and cellular damage.  The highest antioxidant showed from 23 hours whithered. The storage time for white tea also has an impact on quality. The content of catechins and amino acids showed a tendency to decrease with storage time. On the other hand, gallic acid increases with the length of storage. The combined effect of these phases, from harvesting through post-harvesting, contributes significantly to white tea's health benefits, encompassing cardioprotective effects, anti-diabetic potential, prevention of anticarcinogenic and antimutagenic activity, neuroprotective properties, and antimicrobial attributes.

Abstract

Palm oil is one of the leading commodities in the world market that contributes to the Indonesian economy. In fulfilling market demand but environmental friendly, the Indonesian government issued a policy of sustainable standards known as the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) principle. This study aims to determine the farmers' perception of ISPO in the community of oil palm farmers in West Java. This study designed as qualitative research. The results show that not all standards were sustainable. ISO has been applied to oil palm plantations in West Java. For this reason, government efforts were needed to assist farmers in implementing the ISPO

Abstract

Crude palm oil (CPO) is one of the leading export commodity that has contributed greatly to the Indonesian economy. The majority of CPO production is exported to various destination countries such as India, China, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and Malaysia. The proportion of Indonesian CPO exports was 80-75%, and domestic consumption was only 20-15% of total production. Indonesian CPO exports still show an increasing trend. This study aims to identify the factors that affect Indonesian CPO exports using the data from 2002-2017. This research used the multiple linear regression method of Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The results showed that CPO production, CPO prices in the international market, CPO prices in the domestic market, crude oil prices in the international market, the exchange rate of rupiah, and export rates had a significant effect on Indonesia's CPO export.

Abstract

Water is a main factor on production input in rice farming. The need for water will increase as time progresses, but the availability of it is increasingly uncertain. One way to overcome the scarcity of water is the efficient using of water by determining the price of irrigation. This study aims to determine the price of water which is probably paid by farmers in rice farming, and to know the constraints faced by them. The research design used is quantitative descriptive. Primary data are obtained from 80 farmers taken by simple random sampling. Data analysis’ used here are analysis of descriptive, analysis of farming, and analysis of Willingness To Pay (WTP). The result of this research shows that the value of water rent in Buahdua Village is Rp. 4,428,031/ha/MT. Interviews show that almost all farmers are willing to pay the price of irrigation. The average value of PAP respondent is Rp. 61,813/ha/MT and the average value of TWTP is Rp. 28,751.891. Many obstacles faced by farmers in the use of irrigation is garbage, difficulty of getting water during the dry season, and damaged irrigation. This condition will affect the increasingly inefficient management of irrigation. Therefore, the economic value of water usage can be used as a reference asafees level by the farmers to reach efficiently.

Abstract

Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a plant that has many benefits. Most people use turmeric as a cooking spice, food coloring, or as traditional medicine. Traditional medicine is needed as an alternative method in medical world. At present, a lot of research has been done to develop the use of turmeric. The active compound in turmeric is diferuloylmethane (1,7-bis (4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl) -1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione) or often called curcumin. Curcumin is a compound that has many benefits. Curcumin can be used as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiobesity. The purpose of this review journal is to discuss several studies related to the potential of the active component in turmeric. This journal discusses the benefits of active compounds in turmeric as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiobesity.

Abstract

Pontianak Aloe Vera (PAV) is one of the plants in Indonesia that is used as an icon of the city of Pontianak. This plant is widely planted in Kalimantan and is known for its medicinal and cosmetic benefits. The method used is reference search through Google Scholar, Research Gate and other electronic media and then analyzed by descriptive method. The articles reviewed in Indonesian or English language, which published between 2010 to 2022, relevantly. Based on the research results, this plant contains various chemical compounds, such as aloemoedin, aloebarbadiod, vitamin C, collagen, polysaccharides, enzymes, and minerals that have the potential as cosmeceuticals. The products made from Aloe vera produced by the researchers are in the form of external use products in the form of gels, creams, lotions, liquid soaps, and so on for skin and hair care and the use of products orally in the form of powders. These treatment products are reported to have benefits as an anti-dandruff and hair growth stimulate. In addition, other benefits on the skin are maintaining moisture and hydration of the skin, as a sunscreen, stimulating the growth of fibroblasts to treat wounds after surgery, brightening the skin, fading wounds and acne scars, reducing the severity of acne and maintaining skin elasticity.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah berdampak pada kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat Indonesia termasuk kelompok usaha kecil menengah (UKM). UKM aneka cemilan “Hikmah”, yang memproduksi dan menjual berbagai macam cemilan juga mengalami penurunan produksi dan penjualan lebih dari 50%. Kegiatan ini bertujuan membina kelompok UKM dalam memperbaiki produksi, mutu produk, serta menerapkan digital marketing sehingga dapat menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas, praktis, dan sangat cocok diterapkan di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan dampak yang signifikan pada Mitra UKM aneka cemilan yaitu peningkatan penggunaan teknologi modern dengan diberikan alat-alat produksi penunjang produktivitas UKM, diantaranya adalah mesin penggiling bumbu dengan kapasitas 500 gram/menit, dan mesin perajang bawang yang beroperasi secara kontinyu. Keterampilan mitra UKM juga mengalami peningkatan melalui pelatihan cara produksi pangan olahan yang baik (CPPOB) dan pelatihan digital marketing dengan konsep Less Contact Economy. Melalui kegiatan ini mitra UKM dapat memperbaiki proses produksi, mutu produk, dan penjualan melalui digital marketing sehingga dapat bertahan ditengah pandemi Covid 19.

Abstract

Pemeliharan dan pelestarian lingkungan Desa Sehat PLUS merupakan rangkaian kegiatan penanaman pohon yang dilaksanakan untuk mewujudkan lingkungan asri dan sehat. Kegiatan Pengabdian  Masyarakat (PKM) ini menjadi suatu usaha dalam melestarikan lingkungan ditingkat desa guna mendukung terciptanya lingkungan yang asri dan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pemeliharan dan pelestarian lingkungan di Desa Sukamulya Bandung. PKM ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi dengan melibatkan dosen, mahasiswa dan masyarakat setempat. Penanaman pohon dilakukan secara langsung dengan memberikan bibit tanaman kepada masyarakat desa setempat yang penuh semangat dan antusias berperan aktif dalam berpartisipasi pada kegiatan ini. Kegiatan tanam pohon ini menyediakan kurang lebih 60 bibit tanaman yang terdiri dari pohon sirsak, mangga, jambu, manggis, pepaya, dan petai. PKM ini dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik dan lancer serta mendapat dukungan positif dari masyarakat yang diharapkan memiliki rasa tanggung jawab untuk merawat tanaman yang telah ditanam agar dapat mewujudkan desa yang hijau, asri dan bebas stunting.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan permasalahan kesehatan yang dihadapi oleh mitra saat ini, dimana stunting merupakan kondisi anak yang kebutuhan gizinya tidak tercukupi. Pelatihan hidroponik bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan dan ketrampilan kepada masyarakat Desa Sukamulya Rancaekek Bandung dalam rangka memanfaatkan lahan kosong atau halaman rumah untuk membudidayakan sayuran hidroponik guna tercapainya pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi keluarga dan tercapainya Desa Sehat Plus bebas stunting. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri beberapa tahapan yang meliputi persiapan, ceramah, pelatihan, dan monitoring. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dihadiri oleh sejumlah warga yang didominasi oleh kaum perempuan yang mengikuti pelatihan ini dengan serius dan antusias. Dengan mengikuti kegiatan ini, peserta mendapatkan manfaat dan kemampuan dalam bercocok tanam sayuran hidroponik. Harapannnya dengan kegiatan ini maka ketahanan pangan keluarga dapat terpenuhi dan Desa Sehat Plus bebas stunting dapat terealisasi.
