Abstract

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aimed to enhance teachers’ skills in developing learning devices based on literacy and numeracy using a deep learning approach through the BERDAMPAK model (Collaborate, Educate, Responsive, Dynamic, Adaptive, Constructive, Action Learning, and Consistent). The activity was conducted on May 10–12, 2025, at SD Inpres Laran, involving teachers as active participants. The implementation included interactive workshops, simulations for designing learning devices, and group discussions to facilitate a contextual understanding of literacy and numeracy concepts. The results indicated an improvement in teachers’ abilities to design lesson plans (RPP), modules, and learning media that support literacy- and numeracy-based learning. The BERDAMPAK model provided a collaborative, adaptive, and responsive learning experience that addressed teachers’ needs and enhanced their practical skills. This activity significantly contributed to improving the quality of teaching in elementary schools and encouraged teachers to continuously develop their professional competencies through pedagogical innovation. It strengthened technical skills in designing learning devices while fostering a culture of professionalism focused on creative, student-centered, and effective learning practices.

Abstract

Low literacy and numeracy achievement remains a challenge in various regions, including East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This study aims to describe strategies implemented in a primary school to improve literacy and numeracy based on Computer-Based National Assessment (CBNA) indicators. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. This study did not conduct direct testing; instead, indicators of improvement were identified through changes in school practices, student engagement in literacy and numeracy activities, teacher reflections, and official school reports. Five main strategies were identified: (1) School management, emphasizing structured programs such as the 15-minute reading habit and the formation of literacy and numeracy clubs; (2) Classroom management, using interactive methods such as abacus, the gasing method and sparking questions to build engagement; (3) Increasing teacher competency, supported through technical guidance, webinars, and workshops; (4) CBNA preparation, involving regular practice with assessment-style questions and technical readiness; and (5) Collaborative Teaching Initiatives, through collaboration between teachers, learning community, and work program. Improvements were evident in student confidence, active participation, and the ability to solve CBNA-style problems. This study contributes practical insights for schools and policymakers to develop sustainable, context-based strategies to strengthen foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' analytical skills using the Group Investigation type cooperative learning model in fifth grade students at SD GMIT Kuanino 2. The research method used is a qualitative and quantitative approach (Mix Method). Data collection techniques consisting of observation techniques and test techniques; The research subjects were 21 fifth grade students consisting of 12 male students and 9 female students using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. This research was conducted at SD GMIT Kuanino 2, Kupang City, with the results of this research showing that there was an increase in results in cycle I to cycle II with the average value in cycle I (68.19%) increasing to (81.57%) in cycle II . Of the 21 students, 11 students (52.38%) completed it while 10 students (47.62%) did not complete it. Furthermore, in cycle II of 21 students, 18 students (85.71%) were declared complete, while 3 students (14.29%) did not complete. Based on the research results above, it is concluded that the application of the Group Investigation Type Cooperative Learning Model can improve students' analytical skills.

Abstract

Thesis by Maria Vianey Moto Ose Tukan NIM 2201140028 entitled “Implementation of the Problem Based Learning Model to Improve Students' Analytical Skills in IPS Learning about Energy Sources Around Us in Grade III at SDI Oepura 2, Kupang City.” The research problem formulation is: How is the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model in IPS learning about energy sources around us to improve the analytical skills of Grade III students at UPTD SDI Oepura 2? This research aims to improve students' analytical skills in understanding the material on energy sources around us through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with the following stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were third-grade students, numbering 28 people, consisting of 15 boys and 13 girls. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation and documentation of the learning process as well as essay tests designed to measure three dimensions of analytical skills, namely differentiating, organizing, and attributing. The results of the study showed a consistent improvement in both the learning process and outcomes: the class average increased from 58.71 (pre-cycle) to 68.82 (Cycle I) and 85.60 (Cycle II), while classical completeness increased from 32% to 61% and then to 89%. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of PBL in promoting meaningful learning engagement and strengthening the analytical skills of elementary school students through authentic problem-solving, collaboration, and targeted scaffolding.
