Abstract

This study looks into the complex interactions that exist between Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) and training, hiring, employee engagement, social entrepreneurship performance, sustainable business practices, and the social impact on local communities. The study employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) through a quantitative analysis encompassing 487 MSMEs to explore a broad range of hypotheses. The findings highlight the paradoxical relationship that exists between sustainability and training, underscoring the necessity for HR procedures to be approached with delicacy. High employee engagement and successful hiring emerge as key factors that influence the performance of social entrepreneurship and sustainable business practices. Moreover, the research highlights the positive effects of MSMEs involved in social entrepreneurship on sustainable practices and the larger community, underscoring the connection between sustainability and social entrepreneurship. While the practical consequences direct strategic HR planning and the reform of training programs, the theoretical implications cover the advancement of Sustainable Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the enrichment of social entrepreneurship theory. The research offers significant perspectives for MSMEs aiming to harmonize HR procedures with sustainability goals and promote constructive societal influence.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Sharia financial literacy and religious attitudes on investment behavior among Muslim millennials in Indonesia. The research aims to understand how financial knowledge grounded in Islamic principles and religious commitment shape investment decision-making in a faith-based context. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 175 respondents through a structured questionnaire employing a Likert scale (1–5). The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25, including validity, reliability, and multiple regression tests. The findings reveal that both Sharia financial literacy and religious attitudes have positive and significant effects on investment behavior. The regression model shows that Sharia financial literacy contributes more strongly, indicating that higher understanding of Islamic financial concepts enhances rational and ethical investment choices. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.537) demonstrates that both variables explain 53.7% of the variation in investment behavior. The study concludes that a combination of financial competence and religious values fosters responsible, Sharia-compliant investment behavior among young Muslim investors. These findings suggest that promoting Islamic financial education and strengthening religious awareness can enhance sustainable participation in the Islamic financial market.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of environmental uncertainty and sense of urgency on individual innovation in renewable energy startups in Bali. In dynamic and resource-constrained startup environments, the ability to innovate is critical for survival and competitiveness. A quantitative approach was employed, surveying 130 respondents from various renewable energy startups using a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3) to test hypothesized relationships. The results indicate that both environmental uncertainty (β = 0.342, p < 0.001) and sense of urgency (β = 0.540, p < 0.001) significantly influence individual innovation. Furthermore, sense of urgency partially mediates the effect of environmental uncertainty on innovation, highlighting its role as a psychological catalyst that translates external pressures into actionable innovative behaviors. The findings provide theoretical contributions by integrating contingency theory and self-determination theory, and offer practical implications for startup managers and policymakers seeking to foster innovation in uncertain renewable energy markets.

Abstract

This study analyzes Supreme Court Decision Number 5851 K/Pid.Sus LH/2024 and its impact on legal certainty in illegal mining cases in Indonesia through a normative juridical approach. The decision marks an important milestone in the enforcement of environmental criminal law, particularly in addressing unlicensed mining activities that cause ecological damage. By examining statutory regulations, judicial precedents, and doctrinal principles, this study reveals that the Supreme Court consistently applies the principles of strict liability and lex certa, emphasizing that illegal mining constitutes a criminal offense regardless of intent. The Court’s interpretation aligns with environmental protection objectives under Law Number 32 of 2009 and the Mining Law, promoting judicial consistency and strengthening environmental governance. The findings indicate that the decision enhances legal certainty by clarifying criminal liability standards, unifying judicial interpretation, and reinforcing the deterrent effect of environmental law. However, practical challenges remain in ensuring consistent enforcement, improving community awareness, and coordinating between central and regional authorities. Overall, this decision contributes significantly to the development of environmental jurisprudence and the realization of sustainable justice in Indonesia’s legal system.
