Abstract

Teacher dominance in teacher-centered learning model Passive learning, students easily chat with their friends next to them, noisy when the teacher is explaining the material or busy with objects around them, so that when the teacher asks questions to students, not all students understand the material presented. Students who do not understand the material given by the teacher can result in students being left behind in doing assignments, students who do not understand what is being learned make students ask their friends, foster a sense of insecurity about themselves. This study aims to investigate the effect of self-esteem on the learning achievement of fourth grade students at SDN Karang Tengah 7 using the survey method. Data analysis using a simple linear regression test with a significance level of 0.5 (5%) F test regression obtained Fcount> Ftable (0.108> 2.30) The results of the F test indicate that there is no significant effect between self-esteem and fourth grade students' learning achievement. Simple linear regression shows a positive relationship between self-esteem and learning achievement (Y = 66.424 + 0.282X). In conclusion, self-esteem does not have a significant influence, but its effect is limited, with other factors also influencing student learning achievement.

Abstract

This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach to examine modern Islamic boarding school management through Amin Abdullah's Interconnected Entities Theory, aiming to address management problems with scientifically-based solutions to achieve comprehensive targets. The theory addresses issues stemming from reliance solely on leadership experience, such as educator competence imbalances, lack of vision, split personality, and neglected values, which are fundamental to shaping the school's vision, mission, goals, and activities. The study explores whether this theory can be a viable solution for the Al-Amanah Al-Gontory Islamic boarding school in South Tangerang and other similar institutions. The research concludes that Amin Abdullah's Interconnected Entities Theory is an effective framework for developing eligible management by targeting monotheism through good parenting (Hadharah an-nashi), enhancing teacher competence through quality education (Hadharah al-ilmi), and fostering social ethics through a balanced social and economic approach (Hadharah falsafiyah). Thus, improving human resource competency is key to achieving comprehensive management outcomes.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of elementary school teachers in integrating Climate Change Education (CCE) and its contribution to teachers’ perceived support for literacy and numeracy in elementary learning. A quantitative survey was conducted with 100 elementary school teachers using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring teacher role, CCE integration, literacy support, and numeracy support. The instrument demonstrated adequate validity (r-count = 0.48–0.67 > r-table = 0.195) and reliability (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.79–0.86). Descriptive findings indicated relatively high mean scores for teacher role (3.72), CCE integration (3.65), literacy support (3.58), and numeracy support (3.49). Correlation analysis showed positive relationships between teacher role and CCE integration (r = 0.68), literacy support (r = 0.62), and numeracy support (r = 0.55). Regression analysis further revealed that teacher role significantly predicted CCE integration (R² = 0.46; Sig. = 0.000). Teacher role also made significant contributions to perceived literacy support (R² = 0.384; p < 0.001) and perceived numeracy support (R² = 0.303; p < 0.001), indicating a stronger contribution to literacy than numeracy. These findings underscore the strategic role of teachers in embedding CCE into competency-oriented elementary instruction and in fostering literacy and numeracy through environmentally relevant learning contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of transformational leadership and competence on lecturer performance, using job satisfaction as a mediating variable at Muhammadiyah universities in Jakarta. Prompted by the need to improve institutional rankings, this research employed a quantitative path analysis design with PLS-SEM on a sample of 250 permanent lecturers. The findings reveal that while competence directly and significantly enhances both job satisfaction and performance, transformational leadership's impact on performance is entirely indirect. Leadership significantly boosts job satisfaction, which in turn is a strong predictor of lecturer performance, acting as a full mediator. This study concludes that enhancing lecturer performance requires a dual strategy: directly developing lecturer competence while leveraging transformational leadership to cultivate a satisfying work environment, which is the essential pathway for leadership to translate into tangible performance outcomes. Keywords: Competence, Job Satisfaction, Leadership

Abstract

Inclusive education aims to ensure that every child has equal access to quality education without discrimination, including children with special needs. North Kayong Regency continues to face challenges in implementing inclusive education, with 186 children with special needs distributed across six sub-districts. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the TANJAK Program as a local wisdom-based inclusive education model rooted in Malay culture. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was employed in six model inclusive schools. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings reveal that the TANJAK Program consists of six key components that strengthen governance, stakeholder collaboration, inclusive culture, teacher competence, service provision, and program sustainability. Its implementation has improved educational access, enhanced teacher competence, and increased stakeholder involvement. The study identified 29 students with special needs in the model schools, predominantly categorized as slow learners and students with ADHD. The TANJAK Program demonstrates strong potential as a local wisdom-based inclusive education model that can be replicated in other regions.
