Abstract

the problem is that many athletes whose shooting technique is still not perfect, meaning the ball often falls long before the target ball. Apart from that, many also have a low level of accuracy. The aim of the research is to find out the influence of media modification of target practice tools on improving pétanque shooting ability. The research method uses one group pretest–posttest design. With a sample of 7 DL UNDIKMA athletes, the instrument used was the pétanque shooting test. From the data above, it can be described that the shooting ability of DL UNDIKMA petanque athletes when the pretest data was taken was with an average of 4.7143, a middle value of 3, a frequently occurring value of 0 and a standard deviation of 4.8892. Meanwhile, the highest score was 14 and the lowest score was 0. The shooting ability of DL UNDIKMA petanque athletes when collecting posttest data was with an average of 13.0000, a middle value of 12, a frequently occurring value of 11, and a standard deviation of 2.7080. that there has been a significant increase.

Abstract

Study aims to explore the perceptions of prospective teacher students regarding the integration of traditional games in ethnoscience learning. This study is exploratory research conducted at the Mandalika University of Education with research subjects of 294 students. This research uses a research instrument in the form of a closed questionnaire with answers using a Likert scale and has been validated by experts. This research data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with independent sample t-test. The results of this research are (1) the perceptions of prospective teacher students regarding the integration of traditional games in ethnoscience learning have an average score of 3.27 in the Very High category; (2) the perception of male prospective teacher students has an average score of 3.27 in the Very High category, while for women it is 3.29 in the Very High category; (3) there is no significant difference in the perceptions of male and female students regarding the integration of traditional games in ethnoscience learning, as evidenced by the significance value of 0.768 which is greater than 0.05 (>0.05).

Abstract

In the world of sports, an athlete's success is not only determined by intensive training but also by proper physical recovery management. One aspect that is often overlooked yet very important is recovery through sports massage techniques. The main problem identified is the lack of specialized teams or skilled personnel serving as sports masseurs or sports therapy experts in most sports branches under KONI Kota Mataram. The goal of this training is to ensure that each sports branch under KONI Mataram has competent supporting personnel in the field of sports massage, namely sports therapists. The method used in this service is the expository method, which is a learning method delivered by first providing lectures that explain supporting materials such as injury massage, discussions, definitions, principles and concepts of the subject matter, as well as providing examples of practice exercises, demonstrations, qustions, and assignments, as well as knowledge training both in theory and practice. The research results can be concluded to provide an understanding of the basic theory and practice of sports therapy in sports massage for the measurement team under KONI Mataram, preparing the measurement team, and improving athletes' recovery quality through skilled personnel in the field of sports massage.

Abstract

Obesity is a condition that can cause metabolic stress by activating the HPA axis, which impacts increasing stress levels characterized by increased cortisol secretion. The present research aims to investigate the impact of moderate-intensity acute exercise on decreasing cortisol levels among obese female students. A true-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design was utilized to conduct the study. A total of 20 female students between the ages of 20 and 23, with a BMI ranging from 25-28 kg/m2, voluntarily participated in the research. The participants were divided into two groups: control (n=10) and exercise (n=10) - the latter group being exposed to moderate-intensity acute exercise once as an intervention, with 40-minute sessions and an intensity level of 60-70% HRmax using the Treadmill Life Fitness equipment. The serum cortisol levels were measured through the ELISA 30 minutes pre-exercise and 6 hours post-exercise. The collected data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test with a 5% significance level. The study's findings will help compare the mean serum cortisol levels between the control and exercise groups. Based on the results of the study, it was found it can be concluded that moderate-intensity acute exercise carried out for 40 minutes/exercise session was effective in reducing serum cortisol levels in obese female students. We recommend exercise to overcome stress-related metabolic health problems in individuals with obesity.
