Abstract

Autokorindo Pratama memiliki 5 line produksi yaitu Side ring line, Disc line, Rim line, Assy line dan Painting line untuk memproduksi velg, dalam proses produksi masih banyak ditemukan pekerjaan yang masih menggunakan penanganan manual dengan tenaga pekerja seperti mendorong, mengangkat dan memindahkan beban. Observasi dan wawancara pada Painting line mendapati keluhan dari para perkerja di sana tentang nyeri pungung bawah dikarenakan melakukan kegiatan angkat angkut dan mendorong berulang. Metode Langkah Pertama Melakukan survey lokasi untuk menemukan pekerjaan yang berisiko menderita low back pain. Tahap kedua Pada tahap kedua, dilakukan persiapan berupa sarana prasarana yang dibutuhkan saat melakukan edukasi, serta pembuatan power point sebagai media penyuluhan. Tahap ketiga Pada tahap ini dilaksanakan edukasi dengan pekerja dan pengerjaan pre test post test sebagai gambaran pengetahuan pekerja sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Dilanjutkan dengan praktik Mckenzie Exercise dan penggunaan. Hasil : adanya peningkatan pengetahuan para pekerja yang semula hanya 8 pekerja yang skor diatas rata-rata menjadi 13 pekerja. Dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan pekerja dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang low back pain dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan terjadinya keluhan tersebut. Pengetahuan ini dapat ditingkatkan melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini. Selain memberikan edukasi pengabdian masyarakat ini juga memberikan cara untuk mengatasi atau meminimalisir low back pain dengan melalui Mckenzie Exercise dan penggunaan support back belt. Kesimpulan Edukasi ini dapat dikatakan berhasil karena adanya peningkatan pengetahuan pekerja terhadap low back paindan cara menangani dengan Mckenzie Exercise dan penggunaan support back belt.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is very important to note for all workers and company owners. Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is a system created for workers and business owners to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases (PAK). This type of research is an observational descriptive which aims to determine the relationship between tenure and level of knowledge regarding the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The research design used was cross-sectional. Based on data analysis, the relationship between knowledge and years of service with adherence to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in PT. X workers is very influential. many respondents from PT.X workers are reluctant to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) because there are several factors, namely lack of knowledge, lack of years of service and other factors. For PT.X workers who have not used personal protective equipment (PPE) it is expected to be more raise awareness about the importance of using personal protective equipment (PPE) so as to avoid work accidents or occupational diseases (PAK).

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is very important for all workers and company owners to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases (PAK). UD. Radalla Collection, which manufactures screen printing and children's clothing, involves repeated use of the hands in a long sitting position, which increases the risk of PAK such as musculoskeletal disorders. Socialization is needed to educate craftsmen about the dangers and risks of ergonomics. Previously, a subjective survey had been conducted to identify complaints of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). From the observation results, it was found that workers did not know about skeletal muscle movement disorders, so workers worked carelessly. UD workers. The Radalla Collection is expected to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of preventing skeletal muscle disorders (gotrak) to avoid accidents and occupational diseases.

Abstract

PT XYZ, a state-owned port services company, faces significant occupational health and safety risks, particularly for loading and unloading workers (TKBM), who often lack discipline in using personal protective equipment (PPE). This study aimed to assess TKBM workers' behavior regarding PPE usage. Utilizing a cross-sectional observational approach, the research surveyed 71 out of 249 TKBM workers. The findings indicate that most workers exhibit good PPE usage behavior. Despite this positive outcome, the research suggests enhancing PPE use through targeted training and briefings. Continuing efforts to bolster worker safety and PPE awareness are crucial for maintaining and improving safety standards in PT XYZ's loading and unloading work environments focusing on worker protection through the behavior of using PPE.

Abstract

Fire is an oxidation event involving fuel, oxygen, and energy sources that can cause property. The requirements and implementation of this method using scientific methods such as inspection sheets as a tool to help solve the analysis. The results of the study from a total of 49 APAR were examined. From the results of the inspection that has been carried out, it was found that the indicator of the need for APAR in each room is an excess number of APAR, this is not a problem, the condition of the APAR has been appropriate but there are some that are not appropriate, the maintenance of APAR is only a few APAR that are checked routinely. In conclusion, although the number and type of APAR in each room are adequate, suggestions are needed to improve APAR, installation signs, placement of APAR, and maintenance of APAR to ensure safety.

Abstract

Aktivitas di sektor kehutanan, termasuk pendakian gunung, merupakan jenis pekerjaan yang memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap kecelakaan maupun gangguan kesehatan, salah satunya kelelahan berat dan hipotermia. Bukit Cendono, yang berlokasi di Jawa Timur, menjadi salah satu lokasi favorit pendaki, terutama saat musim hujan. Pada musim tersebut, suhu rendah dan kondisi cuaca ekstrem kerap meningkatkan kemungkinan terjadinya hipotermia. Minimnya pengetahuan para pendaki terkait cara mencegah dan menangani kelelahan serta hipotermia menjadi dasar dilaksanakannya kegiatan pengabdian ini. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pendekatan sosialisasi, observasi, dan diskusi bersama 10 orang pendaki berusia 20–40 tahun. Materi disampaikan secara langsung melalui media edukatif seperti poster serta sesi tanya jawab seputar kesiapan fisik dan perlengkapan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebelum kegiatan, 60% peserta memiliki pemahaman rendah, namun setelah sosialisasi, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman secara signifikan, dengan 80% peserta masuk kategori “sangat baik”. Sosialisasi ini memberikan dampak positif dalam menambah kesiapsiagaan dan pengetahuan dasar pendaki terhadap risiko hipotermia dan kelelahan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu mendorong penerapan budaya K3 dalam aktivitas alam terbuka secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Permasalahan operasional seperti ketidakteraturan dan kurangnya disiplin kerja di lingkungan terminal petikemas dapat menurunkan produktivitas dan meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran pekerja mengenai pentingnya penerapan metode 5R (Ringkas, Rapi, Resik, Rawat, Rajin) sebagai solusi untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang efisien dan aman. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif melalui sosialisasi kepada 108 responden pekerja HSSE di PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya, dengan efektivitas program diukur menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan yang sangat signifikan. Jumlah peserta dengan pemahaman kategori ‘Baik’ meningkat drastis dari 50,0% pada pre-test menjadi 88,9% pada post-test, sementara kategori ‘Kurang’ berhasil ditekan dari 16,7% menjadi hanya 2,8%. Disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini terbukti sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan dan menyeragamkan pemahaman pekerja, serta berhasil menciptakan landasan pengetahuan yang solid untuk mendukung implementasi budaya 5R secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

In this case, we are improving the skills of rangers and training climbers at Bukit Cendono. Training in the use of splints is a concrete step to strengthen the first aid skills of Bukit Cendono rangers, increase preparedness for accidents in the field, and help foster a culture of safety in a conservation-based environment. This lack of understanding can certainly have a serious impact on the safety of the entire climbing team if not handled properly and quickly. However, after the socialization activity, which aimed to provide information and education to climbers about handling and using splints, there was a significant increase in the participants` level of understanding. With this improvement in skills, it is hoped that rangers will be able to handle injuries in the Bukit Cendono area more quickly and accurately, as well as share this knowledge with the community and other climbers so that the culture of safety in the outdoors becomes stronger and helps participants understand the basic concepts of splinting.

Abstract

The sandal industry is one of the industries that poses health risks to workers, particularly due to the physical conditions of the work environment and the production process, which serve as potential hazards. One form of control  that can be implemented is the measurement of physical factors in the workplaces. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to measure the physical hazard factors, specifically noise and lighting, and to describe the potential health risks faced by workers in a shoe manufacturing company in Surabaya. This research employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach, involving 25 respondents selected using a total sampling technique. The study was conducted from Juli to August 2024. Data on respondents’ characteristics were collected through interviews using a questionnaire, while blood pressure was measured using an Omron digital sphygmomanometer. Blood pressure was assessed before and after work on the same day. Physical factors in the work environment, such as noise, were measured using a sound level meter, and lighting was measured using a lux meter. The results showed that the average noise level range from 80.5-82.4 dBA, which l does not exceed the threshold limit value (TLV) of 85 dBA according to the Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 5 of 2018 concerning Occupational Safety and Health in the Work Environment. The average lighting level 107.8 lux, which is below the minimum lighting standard for sewing activities, s (500-700 lux), based on the Minister of Health Regulation No. 70 of 2016 concerning Standards and Requirements for Environmental Health in Industrial Workplaces. Health examinations showed an increase in average systolic and diastolic blood pressure s among the workers. Further examination is required to determine whether physical factors in the work environment contribute to the observed  increase in blood pressure among workers in the sandal and shoe industry.  Keywords: Work environment measurement, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Informal Sector, Safety

Abstract

Confined space is a high-risk workplace because it contains various sources of danger such as toxic gases, lack of oxygen, and fire risk. PT. Sinergi Gula Nusantara PG Tjoekir has implemented work procedures based on BINWASNAKER No. 113/DJPPK/XI/2006, but evaluation is needed to ensure compliance with the latest regulations, namely Permenaker No. 11 of 2023. The study aimed to evaluate the OSH Requirements in confined space turbine maintenance at PT. SGN PG Tjoekir is by Permenaker no. 11 of 2023, including confined space classification, access restrictions to enter confined spaces, entry permits, safe work procedures, equipment and equipment, and OSH confined space personnel. The type of research method used is qualitative descriptive, namely providing an overview of OSH requirements in a limited space for turbine maintenance. Then the data obtained is compared to its conformity with Permenaker No. 11 of 2023. The results of this study out of 17 conditions that must be met only 60% that have been met. The conditions that have not been met are the classification of confined space, testing and monitoring of hazardous atmospheric gases, labeling and energy isolation forms, supply respirators, testing, and monitoring equipment for hazardous atmospheric gases, penetrating voltage measuring instruments, and OSH confined space personnel. This study concludes that the OSH requirements in confined space turbine maintenance are in the category of lacking. The advice provided by the company can update the entry permit procedure and increase compliance with the latest regulation, namely Permenaker No. 11 of 2023 to improve work safety.
