Abstract

The digital era has made artificial intelligence (AI) technology an increasingly important tool in various fields, including education. For high school (SMA) teachers, AI offers great opportunities to improve teaching effectiveness, reduce administrative workload, and create more personal and innovative learning experiences. This Community Service Activity (PKM) is motivated by the lack of teacher competence in creating AI-based learning media. This problem is caused by teachers only having basic skills in using AI, and the majority of teachers experiencing this difficulty are senior teachers born in the 1960s. The objective of this activity is to improve teachers' competence in using AI technology to create teaching materials to support the learning process. The activity is carried out with a combination of lecture and practice methods. The contribution of this activity lies in empowering teachers to independently produce digital teaching media. The evaluation results show that 95% of participants successfully created at least one digital teaching media, 75% of teachers were able to create two or more different designs. These evaluation results indicate that this community service activity is effective in improving the competence of teachers at SMA Negeri 5 Medan.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to compare the concept of fitrah in Islam and the tabularasa theory in psychology. This article is included in the literature review, using comparative study methods. The results of the research show that the concept of Islamic education and the tabularasa theory have similarities even though these two theories are different. This difference cannot be separated from the paradigm behind the two theories. The concept of fitrah views that humans are born in a clean and holy state, but is accompanied by the potential inherent in babies, such as the potential for monotheism as mentioned in the Al-Qur'an. Meanwhile, the tabularasa theory is a theory that developed in the West which views that humans are born as empty as white paper. This theory rejects the existence of innate ideas in babies, on the grounds that they cannot be proven sensory. So it can be concluded that in the concept of nature the potential that exists in babies will develop according to the environment that influences them, while in the tabularasa theory only sensory experiences obtained from the environment will fill and decorate the blank paper.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement an Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning application on the Android platform to introduce respiratory organs of living beings, namely lungs, gills, and tracheae, as an effort to improve students’ interest and understanding of biology subjects. The application was developed using the Marker Based Tracking method, chosen for its ability to accurately place virtual objects on predefined markers, resulting in more realistic and interactive 3D visualizations. Development was carried out using Unity 3D and Vuforia SDK as the core AR technology, Blender for creating 3D models, and Canva for designing the interface and markers, with the C# programming language used to manage interaction logic. The application allows users to scan markers to display 3D objects along with descriptive information, providing a more engaging learning experience compared to conventional media. Testing involving 100 students aged 10–14 years showed positive responses, with 93% stating the application is easy to understand, 83% rating the objects as clear, 94% feeling assisted in understanding the material, and 100% reporting greater enthusiasm and ease of learning compared to using books or teachers alone. These results demonstrate that AR can enhance engagement and effectiveness in learning biology. In conclusion, implementing AR in learning media offers an innovative approach that combines interactive visualization with modern technology and has the potential to be further developed by adding more object variations, organ function animations, and multi-platform support.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic guidance and counseling (ICC) in improving the spiritual quality of multicultural societies. The background of this research is based on the challenges of social life in Indonesia, which is characterized by cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity, which has the potential to give rise to conflict and spiritual crises. Islamic guidance and counseling is seen as a strategic tool for building community spirituality, strengthening tolerance, and fostering moderate attitudes. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with source triangulation for validation. The results show that the implementation of Islamic guidance and counseling includes individual counseling, group counseling, multicultural dialogue, and the use of digital media in da'wah (Islamic outreach). The impact is increased spiritual awareness, strengthened moral values, and the realization of social harmony. This study concludes that Islamic guidance and counseling plays a significant role in building a religious, inclusive, and harmonious multicultural society. Therefore, strengthening the capacity of counselors and institutional support is necessary so that Islamic guidance and counseling can function more effectively in diverse social contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze effective Islamic da'wah communication for Generation Z in the digital era. Generation Z, as a group born and raised in the midst of technological development, has distinct characteristics compared to previous generations, particularly in terms of communication patterns, media preferences, and how they receive information. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies as data collection techniques. The results indicate that effective da'wah communication for Generation Z must be interactive, creative, and relevant to everyday life. The use of social media such as short video platforms, podcasts, and visual content is the primary means of conveying da'wah messages. Furthermore, the use of simple, authentic language and a non-patronizing approach can increase the appeal and acceptance of da'wah messages. The conclusion of this study is that the success of da'wah to Generation Z is greatly influenced by the communicator's ability to adapt methods, media, and communication style to the characteristics of the audience. Therefore, innovation and adaptation in da'wah strategies are needed so that the Islamic message can be effectively received among Generation Z

Abstract

The development of digital technology has a significant impact on the identity formation process of adolescents. Exposure to social media, a culture of social comparison, and the unfiltered flow of information often trigger an identity crisis, which Erik Erikson, in his psychosocial developmental stage, calls identity versus role confusion. This community service program aims to implement an Islamic counseling program as a preventive and curative effort to help adolescents build a healthy identity in the digital age. The method used is a participatory approach through group counseling, individual counseling, and psychoeducation based on the values of monotheism, tazkiyatun nafs (respect for the self), and moral development. The program is implemented through a needs assessment, mentoring sessions, and evaluation of changes in participants' attitudes and understanding. The expected outcomes are increased self-awareness, controlled digital media use, and the formation of a more stable self-identity grounded in Islamic values. With an integrative approach combining psychological and spiritual aspects, Islamic counseling has the potential to become an applicable intervention model in schools and communities.
