Abstract

Social skills are a key component of a child’s development both personally and academically, as they enable them to communicate, cooperate, and resolve conflicts. The advancement of these skills through education has differing approaches, but participation in sports is widely accepted to promote social relations and collaboration. Nevertheless, there is little scientific research on the degree to which organised sports activities facilitate social skills development in children. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of sports participation on the social skills of elementary students by measuring their communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and leadership skills. A quasi-experimental approach was implemented with 70 elementary school students, half of whom participated in structured sports activities while the other half did not. Group 1 was the experimental class that actively participated in the organised sports while group 2 served as the control class. Information was gathered through self-report questionnaires, observational checklists, and peer interaction evaluation. To identify significant differences between two sets of measurements made before and after interventions, a paired t-test was performed. The results showed that learners in the experimental group had greater improvements in communication (+1.2 points, p = 0.003), teamwork (+1.5 points, p = 0.002), and conflict resolution (+1.1 points, p = 0.004) than the control group which had no improvements (p > 0.05). The observational data also revealed that the sports participants showed higher involvement, leadership, and teamwork. These results imply that organised sports can be used as an important tool to enhance social skills among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study seeks to evaluate how gamification affects student motivation, engagement, and learning in an online Physical Education course at Universitas Terbuka. A sample of 40 out of 240 students enrolled in the 4th semester of the program was drawn using purposive sampling. The participants responded to a 12-item acknowledgment scale measuring four aspects of gamification: motivational aspects of games, participation and engagement, skills, and overall learning experiences. Based on the analysis of the data collected, findings point out that gamification positively affects student motivation and participation. A significant number of students (92.5%) agreed that new activities based on games made learning processes more enjoyable, and 90% of students said that gamification lessened the boredom encountered in online learning. Although underperforming students were able to increase their understanding of theoretical concepts taught in class, there was a lack of improvement in the performance of some students who were active in independent physical skill practice with only 75% agreeing that the tasks fostered the development of independent physical skills. Most of the students supported the continuation of gamification in the Physical Education course and 95% wanted the inclusion of more game-oriented learning in future lessons. The results indicate that although gamification increases motivation and participation, other strategies are needed to develop practical skills in the context of online Physical Education classes.

Abstract

Strengthening teacher capacity in 3T areas requires an approach that goes beyond conventional pedagogical training by integrating entrepreneurial competencies, differentiated learning, and leveraging local potential. This study presents a teacherpreneur training model for elementary/middle school/community learning center teachers on Harapan Island, Thousand Islands, which is operationalized through a convergent mixed-methods design. The design incorporates attendance measurement, multi-component evaluation scores, and qualitative findings from observations and structured interviews. Field data shows 22 participants from various schools, an attendance rate of 83%, and a distribution of quiz, case study, and practice scores indicating substantial competency achievement in the dimensions of creativity, utilization of local potential, partnership networks, and educational entrepreneurship practices. The integration of quantitative and qualitative findings confirms the relevance of the training to the island context, which faces limitations in infrastructure, technology access, and professional development opportunities. The discussion links the findings to current literature on teacherpreneurial competence, partnership management, differentiated instruction, and digital-based service-learning practices. This study offers theoretical implications for the construction of teacherpreneur competencies and practical implications for program replication in other 3T regions. The recommendations emphasize strengthening post-training mentoring, orchestrating local networks, and digital portfolio-based reporting for sustainable impact.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kelompok nelayan pengolah terasi rebon di Kelurahan Tambak Sarioso, Surabaya, melalui pendekatan integratif meliputi peningkatan kapasitas produksi, manajemen usaha, dan pemasaran digital. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi selama enam bulan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas produksi dari 10–20 kg/bulan menjadi 40 kg/bulan (naik 100),  terciptanya produk terasi bermerek "Terasi Tb.Sarioso" yang dipasarkan melalui marketplace dengan 20 transaksi dalam 3 bulan. Luaran yang dihasilkan meliputi publikasi ilmiah di jurnal SINTA, video dokumentasi, desain branding, serta peningkatan keterampilan mitra sebesar 80%. Disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan multidisiplin ini efektif dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan keberlanjutan usaha UMKM pesisir

Abstract

Humans are social beings where social behavior must be instilled early on or at elementary school level, when children enter elementary school their social behavior with others will be seen, this is because before entering elementary school children are in a community environment that influences children's social behavior in a negative direction so that it is carried over to their school environment. Such as fighting with friends, isolating friends, saying dirty words, inciting friends in a bad direction. One way to instill social behavior in children is through traditional sports games, because in traditional sports games it requires communication, and cooperation between individuals which may have an impact on children's social behavior. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with teachers and students as research subjects, this study was conducted in 4 Elementary Schools in Mataram Baru Village, Mataram Baru District, East Lampung Regency. Because these schools are based on learning that forms their students to have good behavior, the subjects in this study were the principal, student representatives, class teachers, physical education teachers or instructors and students. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. While data analysis through three techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. And checking the validity of the data is done by triangulation and source triangulation.

Abstract

Kelancaran pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani dan olahraga dapat diukur salah satunya dari ketersediaannya sarana dan prasarana. Sarana dan prasarana yang memadai akan mencerminkan kualitas pembelajaran yang dilakukan, sehingga tujuan pendidikan akan tercapai dengan baik. Kelengkapan sarana prasarana Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga yang dimiliki sekolah, akan lebih memudahkan dalam penyampaian materi. Siswa akan berinteraksi langsung dengan sarana dan prasarana olahraga sesuai dengan materi yang diajarkan. Sehingga pembelajaran lebih bersifat konseptual dan tidak abstrak. Guru Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga hendaknya dapat mengembangkan pembelajaran dengan memodifikasi ukuran lapangan, peralatan dan peraturan yang disesuaikan dengan keadaan sekolah, jika kondisi tidak memungkinkan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kondisi sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga di Smp Bhakti Praja Kebumen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi sarana dan prasarana yang ada di Smp Bhakti Praja Kebumen memenuhi standar atau tidak. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kualitatif, karena bertujuan mendeskripsikan ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga melalui rasionalisasi jumlah sarana dan prasarana yang ada dengan kebutuhan dalam pembelajaran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dokumentasi dan observasi. Instrumen penelitihan berupa lembar observasi ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana olahraga. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi data kuantitatif, yaitu jumlah sarana dan prasarana olahraga. Hasil penelitian terhadap Smp Bhakti Praja Kebumen menunjukkan bahwa keadaan sarana dan prasarana olahraga cukup memadai untuk menunjang pembelajaran pendididkan jasmani olahraga.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a foundational skill in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning, yet many students, particularly at the primary level, continue to face persistent challenges in developing it effectively. This study investigates the effectiveness of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning technique in enhancing reading comprehension among primary-level EFL learners. Using a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, the research involved four instructional sessions over four weeks, during which the TSTS technique was implemented. Twenty-eight students participated in the study and completed both pretest and post-test assessments designed to evaluate various aspects of reading comprehension, including identifying main ideas, supporting details, inference skills, and vocabulary interpretation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired samples t-test to determine the significance of the observed learning gains. Results revealed a statistically significant improvement in students’ reading comprehension scores after the intervention, indicating that the TSTS technique positively impacted their reading performance. The study highlights the potential of cooperative learning to promote deeper engagement, peer collaboration, and improved comprehension outcomes in EFL contexts. Findings contribute to the growing body of literature supporting learner-centred instruction and underscore the importance of adopting interactive, evidence-based strategies in primary English language education.

Abstract

Teori kognitif sosial digunakan untuk mengenal, memprediksi perilaku dan mengidentifikasi metode-metode yang tepat untuk mengubah perilaku. Pembelajaran kognitif menurut teori kognitif teori kognitif sosial (social cognitive theory) yang dikemukakan oleh Albert Bandura menyatakan bahwa faktor sosial dan kognitif serta factor pelaku memainkan peran penting dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan bidang studi psikologi sosial, teori ini memeiliki efek pada proses motivasional yang kuat dalam pemahaman tentang efek pengaruh bagi anak-anak maupun orang dewasa. Proses-proses motivasional membahas tujuan motivasi, harapan akan hasil motivasi dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam motivasi. Motivasi belajar berkaitan erat dengan prinsip bahwa perilaku yang memperoleh penguatan (reinforcement) di masa lalu lebih memiliki kemungkinan diulang dibandingkan dengan perilaku yang tidak memperoleh penguatan atau perilaku yang terkena hukuman (punishment). Dalam motivasi belajar, penganut teori motivasional menimbulkan tingkat persistensi dan entusiasmenya dalam melaksanakan suatu kegiatan, baik yang bersumber dari dalam diri individu itu sendiri (motivasi intrinsik) maupun dari luar individu (motivasi ekstrinsik). Peran motivasi dalam proses pembelajaran, dapat dianalogikan sebagai penggerak belajar yang memadai yang mendorong siswa berperilaku aktif untuk berprestasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Based on the author's observations in the field, it shows that the VO2max capacity of the MUTU FA Kebumen futsal players is still low. This is possible due to the lack of precise training methods used by trainers in the training process. This study aims to see the effect of extensive interval training and fartlek training on the VO2max capacity of MUTU FA Kebumen futsal players. This research method is a quasi-experimental method (quasi experimental). The population of this study was 30 people, while the sample was taken by purposive sampling so that a sample of 24 players was obtained. The test used is the bleep test which aims to determine the VO2max capacity of futsal players. The results of the data analysis show that: 1) extensive interval method training has a significant effect on the VO2max capacity of MUTU FA Kebumen futsal players; 2) fartlek training has a significant effect on the VO2max capacity of MUTU FA Kebumen futsal players; 3) extensive interval method training provides a more effective effect than fartlek training on increasing the VO2max capacity of MUTU FA Kebumen futsal players.Keywords: Exercise, VO2max, Futsal

Abstract

Kesuksesan guru dalam mengajar bergantung pada pengetahuan dan kemampuan mereka. Pada kenyataannya, masih banyak guru yang menghadapi masalah dalam proses belajar mengajar. Masalah ini termasuk merancang pelajaran dengan baik, tidak adanya media pembelajaran, menangani anak yang kurang fokus, menangani anak hiperaktif atau berkebutuhan khusus, dan berkomunikasi dengan baik dengan anak dan orang tua mereka. Tujuan dari Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk membangun program pelatihan model pembelajaran online untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru SMP di Tangerang Selatan. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia, guru-guru SMP harus dilatih dengan baik dan berkelanjutan. Program Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran Online adalah upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan guru SMP di kota Tangerang Selatan. Program ini mencakup berbagai jenis pelatihan berbasis online yang dirancang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan guru, seperti bagaimana menggunakan teknologi dalam pembelajaran dan membuat metode pembelajaran interaktif. Hasil dari program ini, yang diukur melalui evaluasi kualitatif dan pre-test dan post-test, menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta. Program ini juga memberikan panduan praktis bagi guru untuk menerapkan pembelajaran online di kelas. Pelatihan ini menyimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran online efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan guru SMP. Ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai model untuk program pelatihan serupa di masa depan. Selama pelatihan model pembelajaran online, peserta juga menunjukkan sikap positif. Menurut hasil pelatihan ini, disarankan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran online untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta pelatihan.
