It is a quantitative research study conducted through library research and reference studies. Data collection methods include questionnaires and documentation studies. The data analysis involves validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, t-tests (partial), F-tests (simultaneous), regression analysis, and coefficient determination. The results indicate that investment, financing, and MSMEs play significant roles in the economic growth of Medan City. Investment contributes 14.1% to economic development by enhancing infrastructure and technology, which supports the industrial sector and creates job opportunities. Financing, with a 99.1% contribution, facilitates business access to capital, improves efficiency, production capacity, innovation, and supports economic diversification. Although MSMEs contribute only 1.9%, they are crucial for the local economy by providing employment and reducing poverty. Supportive pro-MSME policies are essential for their growth. Overall, these three variables contribute 97.5% to the economic growth of Medan City's community between 2017 and 2022, underscoring their key roles in driving local economic development.

This type of research is quantitative research with secondary data in the form of financial reports of transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the Covid-19 pandemic for the 2019-2020 period. The population of transportation companies on the IDX is 46 companies with samples taken using purposive sampling techniques. Based on the criteria, 24 companies were sampled in this research. So the total data for 2 years is 48 data. The data analysis used in the research is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis test, and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 26 software to process the data. The results of this research show that partially the current ratio has a significant value of 0,003 < 0,05, which means it has a significant effect on stock returns. The debt to equity ratio has a sigmificant value of 0,211 > 0,05, which means it has no significant effect on partial stock returns. Return on assets has a significant value of 0.046 <0.05, which means it has a significant effect on stock returns. Meanwhile, simultaneously the current ratio, debt to equity ratio, and return on assets have a significant influence on stock returns with a significant value of 0.026 < 0.05. Then the R Square test results show a value of 0.187 or the equivalent of 18.7%. From these results it can be explained that 18.7% of the independent variables CR, DER, and ROA are able to explain stock returns as the dependent variable. Meanwhile, the remainder, namely 81.3% of the possibility of stock returns, is explained by other variables not included in this research.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to measure how well the level of technology acceptance of Sipiongot Market MSME players is, and what variables affect it with the TAM Model approach. The research method used is quantitative by distributing questionnaires to 33 MSME owners. The results showed that X1, X2 and X3 against Y were 0.000 <0.05 and the calculated F value was 9.867> 2.71, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of perceived ease of use of social media (X1), perceived usefulness of social media (X2), and attitude towards using social media (X3) simultaneously affecting the intention to use social media (Y). However, X4 against Y is 0.187> 0.05 and t count 1.353 < t table 2.048, so it can be concluded that H4 is rejected, which means that there is no effect of actual social media use (X4) on intention to use social media (Y). Sipiongot Market MSMEs have a relatively good understanding of Social Media as a means of digital promotion. They report benefits such as: increasing operational efficiency, expanding market reach, facilitating communication, increasing sales, and supporting business development. In addition, MSME players consider the use of social media to be relatively easy because the interface is simple, easy to navigate and supports platform integration.

Abstract

The development of welfare systems and income tax in the 20th century shows religious practices in poverty alleviation, especially zakat in Islamic tradition. In Indonesia and Malaysia, zakat management is an effort in poverty alleviation, but challenges remain, especially in the centralized system in Malaysia. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of agricultural zakat management in Indonesia and Malaysia, including comparing its implementation and impact in the agricultural sector. This study uses a qualitative method, using a comprehensive literature review and content analysis based on Creswell's qualitative research framework. The results of this study indicate that agricultural Zakat has significant potential to increase zakat income and support poverty alleviation. In Indonesia, where agriculture is a major economic sector, the impact is very prominent. However, better governance and digital integration are needed for optimization. Collaboration between the government, zakat institutions, and the community is essential in order to maximize the role of zakat in economic empowerment. This study contributes to the comparative analysis of zakat management in the two countries and highlights the need for local strategies to increase its effectiveness in poverty alleviation.
