Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates how renewable energy consumption, CO₂ emissions, and population size influence economic growth in selected ASEAN countries Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam over the period 2013–2023. It aims to provide insights into the role of environmental and demographic factors in achieving sustainable economic development. Methods: The research employs panel data regression analysis, utilizing both Fixed Effects Model (FEM) and Random Effects Model (REM). The Hausman test is applied to determine the most appropriate model for estimation, ensuring robust and reliable results across the dataset. Results: The findings reveal that renewable energy consumption has a positive and statistically significant effect on economic growth. In contrast, CO₂ emissions negatively impact economic performance, indicating environmental degradation may hinder growth. Population size shows a generally positive influence, although its effect varies across countries and periods. Conclusions: The study emphasizes the importance of expanding renewable energy use and implementing effective emission control policies to foster sustainable growth. Policymakers should balance economic expansion with environmental preservation. Originality: This research offers updated panel evidence from ASEAN economies, integrating environmental and demographic variables within a decade-long analysis.

Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) are key indicators of a nation's health status. Elevated rates are often associated with unmonitored complications during pregnancy and childbirth. The Continuity of Care (CoC) approach provides a continuous care model that enables early detection of potential complications through sustained relationships between midwives and patients. This study aims to provide comprehensive midwifery care to Mrs. Y (41 years old) and Mrs. D (22 years old), encompassing the third trimester of pregnancy, labor, newborn care, postpartum care, and family planning services. The research employed a descriptive observational design using Varney’s seven-step midwifery management approach and SOAP documentation. The results showed that both patients experienced physiological pregnancies. The labor process was normal, with care focusing on pain management for Mrs. Y and comprehensive management of stages I–IV of labor for Mrs. D. The newborns were healthy, supported by the implementation of Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (EIB). The postpartum period progressed without complications, facilitated by education on nutrition and breastfeeding techniques. At the end of the care period, both patients chose long-term contraceptive methods, with Mrs. Y opting for tubectomy (MOW). In conclusion, the implementation of CoC effectively supports a safe reproductive process and minimizes the risk of complications through continuous monitoring and patient education.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the development of the Curriculum 2013 SIT (Integrated Islamic School), and the typical 8th grade curriculum at SMPIT Al Uswah Bangil. This research is qualitative descriptive field research, the data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation using Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that curriculum development at SMPIT Al Uswah Bangil was developed in all school curricular activities, namely intracurricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. SMPIT Al Uswah Bangil also uses the concept of Islamization of science, and the implementation of evaluation is carried out in the form of curriculum supervision techniques.

Abstract

Purun Tikus (Eleocharis dulcis (Burm.f.) Trin. Ex Hensch.) is a wetland plant native to Southeast Asia known to contain various bioactive secondary metabolites. However, studies on endophytic fungi associated with the flowers of this plant remain limited, even though endophytes are often capable of producing compounds similar to or even more potent than those of their host plants. This study aimed to identify and evaluate the antioxidant and antibacterial activities of endophytic fungi isolated from the flowers of E. dulcis. Isolation was carried out using surface sterilization and cultivation on Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA), followed by identification based on macroscopic and microscopic characteristics. Three isolates were successfully obtained: EDF1 (Neopestalotiopsis sp.), EDF2 (Lasiodiplodia theobromae), and EDF3 (Rhizopus sp.). Secondary metabolites were extracted using ethyl acetate, while antioxidant and antibacterial activities were evaluated using the DPPH method and agar disc diffusion method, respectively, against Salmonella typhi, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus subtilis. The results showed that each isolate exhibited different levels of bioactivity. Among them, EDF2 (L. theobromae) demonstrated the highest activity, with an IC₅₀ value of 19.149 µg/mL (categorized as very strong) and antibacterial inhibition exceeding 80% against all tested bacteria. These findings indicate that L. theobromae has strong potential as a natural source of bioactive compounds that can be further developed as candidates for phytopharmaceuticals, antimicrobial agents, and natural antioxidants through subsequent in vivo studies.
