Abstract

The French department conducts a community service in the form of language training in Makassar as a part of the program planned of department.fThe target community for this service activity are french teachers/instructors in Makassar. This activity is designed to provide knowledge and skills for teachers/instructors to improve their pedagogical abilities so they can teach french in an easy and fun way to their students. In this service activity, the partners involved are Alliance Francaise (AF) Makassar, Warung Prancis (WP) Unhas, and schools that have french language teaching in their curriculum. Each participating partner sends teachers/instructors to become active participants in the training. Apart from that, partners also help carry out activities and provide training venues. The basic benefit of this activity is to equip french teachers/instructors with various methods and techniques for teaching french as foreign language (FLE), which is expected to increase students’ interest, attention and motivation to learn french language. The output of this service is a collection of methods and techniques (manuals) for teaching french with an actional approach. Apart from that, publications in national journals and local/national media are supporting outputs for activities. The results of the service provide an indication of the participants’ absorption of the material as shown through the participants’ enthusiasm and active participation during the training. Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memahami keterkaitan antara larangan berbuat tasyabbuh dengan pendidikan, sehingga dalam menjelaskan hadits-hadits terkait tasyabbuh, tulisan ini tidak hanya sekedar mengelaborasi aspek makna yang terkandung secara tekstual, tetapi juga menjelaskan berbagai dampak yang dapat ditimbulkan dari perbuatan tasyabbuh itu sendiri. Dalam memahami hadits tentang larangan tasyabbuh, penulis menggunakan studi pustaka (library research), yaitu suatu kajian yang mendalam dengan merujuk kepada karya tulis para ulama terdahulu sebagai sumber primer dan dan buku-buku pendidikan yang merupakan buah karya para tokoh di bidang pendidikan sebagai sumber sekunder. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah metode deduktif dan induktif dengan analisis tekstual dan kontekstual. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah, bahwa larangan tasyabbuh dalam hadits Nabi saw relevan dengan pendidikan Islam karena larangan tersebut dapat mendorong terciptanya sebuah proses dan hasil pendidikan yang baik, sesuai dengan tujuan dari pendidikan, baik pendidikan fisik, pendidikan akidah, ibadah, pendidikan akhlak, demikian pula dalam pendidikan akal (intelektual) dan pendidikan sosial. Sebaliknya jika tasyabbuh tidak dilarang, maka bukan hanya menjadi penghambat bagi dunia pendidikan, tetapi akan merusak tatanan serta kehidupan manusia secara umum karena perbuatan tasyabbuh akan menjadikan kehidupan manusia kehilangan arah dan pedoman seperti binatang yang penuh dengan penyakit berbahaya.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the obstacles faced by grade 11 students at MAN Sorong SP 4 in comprehending English reading texts. Employing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through a 4-point Likert scale questionnaire completed by 20 students and semi-structured interviews with 5 students and 1 English teacher. The instrument covered four key areas: vocabulary mastery, motivation, media preferences, and teacher support. Results revealed that 76% of students struggled with vocabulary, 71% lacked effective reading strategies such as skimming and inference, and 64% had difficulties understanding text structures. Additionally, 60% of students demonstrated low motivation toward academic reading, although they showed interest in English content through social media. Interview findings supported the quantitative data, indicating students' reliance on dictionaries, absence of explicit reading strategy instruction, and low confidence in dealing with complex texts. The study recommends an instructional approach that integrates reading strategies, vocabulary development, and educational digital media to enhance students’ holistic reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

This time the community service for Bumigora University lecturers was carried out in Batu Kumbung village, Lingsar sub-district, West Lombok Regency, in Batu Kumbung village there are several MSMEs engaged in the culinary field such as Clarias Food, Mangosteen Coffee, Ant Sugar, Dodol, Klepon and Fresh Fruit businesses. However, these MSMEs have not been maximal in marketing the results of products made, especially digital marketing, currently product marketing is still carried out traditionally, so efforts are needed to increase the marketing of products that have been produced, to assist in digital marketing, a digital market application is needed that can be used to promote a brand using digital media that can reach consumers in a timely, personal, and relevant manner. The output achieved is the creation of a digital market application (E-Commarce Website) so that it can assist MSMEs in marketing their respective products. With this digital market application, it makes it easier for MSMEs, starting from the promotion process to the sales transaction process for MSME results in the culinary field in Batu Kumbung village.

Abstract

Kondisi Sekolah Menengah Pertama Katolik (SMPK Kesuma) dalam pandemic covid-19 melumpuhkan kegiatan karya wisata yang diprogramkan pihak sekolah tiap tahunnya. Dengan melonjaknya kasus covid-19 di Mataram, maka pihak sekolah mengganti kegiatan karya wisata tersebut dengan pelatihan desain grafis. Pelatihan desain grafis bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan bakat dan minat peserta didik dalam menghadapi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan teknologi dan seni di era sekrang ini. Metode pelaksanaan pedampingan ini dilakukan secara  klasikal dan  praktik desain grafis dengan Langkah-langkah seperti: (a) Simulasi; (b) Tutorial; (c) Latihan Terbimbing. Kegiatan ini mengahsilkan karya poster promosi makanan khas Lombok. karya poster yang dibuat peserta didik menjadi penilaian program karya wisata.

Abstract

The aim of this Community Service is to provide education to the public about the dangers of electronic cigarettes which are used as a substitute for conventional cigarettes using 2-dimensional animation of public service advertisements. research methods using: concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution. The initial stage that must be carried out is to think about the concept. This stage is used to determine the goal, namely to produce a 2-dimensional animation of public service advertisements on the dangers of electronic cigarettes to make it easier for the community, especially young people in Suntalangu village, to know the dangers of electronic cigarettes, what they are, and who will be the object in This public service advertisement, namely this animation, is aimed at the community, especially youth in Suntalangu village with ages ranging from 13 years to 60 years or passive or active e-cigarette users. Then carry out 2-dimensional animation designs on public service advertisements such as designing images, text, audio, video and animation. then collect materials such as making a 2D animated film in the form of characters, backgrounds, audio files and other supporting materials. After that comes the creation stage, namely editing characters and objects, animating, rendering, dubbing up to the final editing. then testing is carried out to see whether the public service advertisement has been successfully created. And the final stage is distributing or distributing 2-dimensional animations of public service advertisements. The result is that it is hoped that young people will avoid or not use e-cigarettes again.

Abstract

The quality of formal education services is the main indicator of the success of educational institutions in carrying out their strategic functions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of performance accountability and managerial strategies in improving the quality of formal education services. This study uses a literature approach by examining a number of scientific articles related to the topic in question. The results of the study show that performance accountability plays an important role in creating transparency and improving the achievement of educational institutions. Managerial strategies, including planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating functions, have proven to be effective in supporting service quality. In addition, the role of the principal, the pedagogic competence of teachers, the implementation of innovative learning models, and proper classroom management are determining factors in improving quality. These findings imply that the integration of accountability and a systematic and sustainable managerial strategy is key in creating quality formal education.

Abstract

The criminal law reform in Indonesia was initiated through the enactment of Law No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code, which replaces the provisions of the 1946 Criminal Code. One significant change relates to the prosecution process, particularly concerning the circumstances under which prosecutorial authority may lapse. This study aims to examine the circumstances that cause the termination of prosecutorial authority and to analyze the regulation of the prosecution process following the implementation of the new Criminal Code. A normative juridical method was employed, utilizing a statute approach and comparative analysis, with secondary data collected through literature studies and analyzed qualitatively. The findings reveal that Law No. 1 of 2023 introduces substantial updates to the conditions resulting in the cessation of prosecutorial authority, differing from the arrangements under the 1946 Criminal Code. However, discrepancies in editorial formulation were identified between the new material criminal law and the formal criminal law as stipulated in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) of 1981 and the Draft Criminal Procedure Code of 2012. These inconsistencies indicate the need for harmonization to ensure uniformity and legal certainty within the criminal justice system. The implications of this study underline the necessity for legislative adjustments to align substantive and procedural criminal laws, thereby strengthening the coherence and effectiveness of criminal law enforcement in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi hubungan antar tokoh yang menghasilkan stigma dan pengelompokkan stigma serta upayanya untuk melakukan perlawanan stigma dalam Novel La Petite Fadette karya George Sand. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang menyebabkan stigma muncul, pengelompokkan stigma, dan bentuk perlawanan stigma. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kalimat – kalimat yang terdapat dalam Novel La Petite Fadette karya George Sand. Adapun landasan teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Stigma dari Erving Goffman, Scheid, dan Brown. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan mengenai perlawanan terhadap stigma dalam Novel La Petite Fadette karya George Sand, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Stigma terbentuk karena kurangnya pendidikan atau edukasi serta kesadaran yang diperlukan oleh setiap masyarakat. Stigma juga dikelompokkan menjadi 4 (empat), yaitu : fisik dan sosial, labelling, stereotip, dan diskriminasi. Upaya perlawanan stigma yang dilakukan bergantung pada proses dan perubahan secara signifikan untuk mengubah stereotip setiap masyarakat ke arah lebih positif.

Abstract

Nowadays almost technological facilities are owned by all students such as laptop or best HP multifunctional. The pandemic era forces human do all of the activities by using these media, this condition also forces the students and lecturer in the university to do teaching and learning process by using those media too. Mandating that the learning process begins to make technology as a learning medium that is able to create a conducive and wider atmosphere so that lecture learning is not limited by face to face activities and printed handbook but can use technology as a material development and learning process especially related to "paragraph writing" courses whose target is to make students able to write paragraphs well in pandemic era. In this case, this research has some purposes, they are developing teaching materials of information and technology-based "paragraph writing" (IT) courses; review how the effectiveness of IT-based "Paragraph Writing" teaching materials to improve student writing skills in pandemic era; and knowing the perception of students towards teaching materials developed based on Information and technology (IT) in pandemic era.
